**CHAPTER 5 - THE ONE WITH THE POOL SCENE 1.2**
I really don't want to encounter him, even just to meet him. Every time I see him, I remember how he threw my cellphone like a boomerang. I still get goosebumps every time I think about it. Besides, I told him off that day. I was so brave that I said I quit. Then here I am now, staying. Later when I met him, he suddenly called me a fat face.
I leaned against the door for a few minutes. Maybe it was safe to go out and I was really hungry. I faced the door and slowly opened it. Just a little bit. I needed to make sure there was no enemy. I slowly peeked my head out the door and looked at the elevator. It was gone, it was closed. The demon was gone.
"Dimwit"
"Oh, demon!" I screamed in shock. She's here! Fuck!
He had his arms crossed while leaning against the wall. I didn't see him right away because it was a bit dark in the hallway. Did I scream at the devil?!
I composed myself and straightened up. He was staring at me with his forehead slightly furrowed. I wanted to look away because of his appearance.
Her hair is tied in a high messy bun. She's only wearing a black silk nightgown that's above her knee. For me, it's so revealing because the neckline is low, you can see her cleavage. Even though it's dark, you know she's not wearing a bra. Why is she coming out of her room wearing just that? Does she know how many butlers are around here? night? Partida, this is my girl but I have a hard time looking at her like that, how much more so with the men around her.
Well should give him his jacket here. I'll get him the jacket there. Oh, don't worry, I'm annoying him.
"Young lady. S-sorry." I said to her stupidly. Why am I the one apologizing? I might get angry and yell at her like a demon. She just shook her head slightly and moved away from leaning against the wall.
"Follow me." he said. There was that commanding tone again.
I looked at her with a frown on my face. "Why?"
"Because I said so." he added firmly as he walked towards the rooftop.
What else can I do if I don't obey? What is that! I'm already hungry.
I just followed behind him while watching him walk. I only noticed now that he was barefoot. He wasn't even wearing sandals or slippers. That's why he was shorter. now. If before he was as tall as the tips of my ears, now he's barefoot, he's only up to my jaw. You see, his height is like his feet, how small! Then if he tries to hit me and the people here, you'd think he was a big man, I could throw him.
She stopped walking when we reached the rooftop. This is my second time here but I still can't help but be amazed by the beauty. The huge pool is really eye-catching. It looks like it would be fun to party here.
I approached the edge of the pool and stopped there. I stared at the water, was it deep? It didn't seem so. I went in even though I didn't know how to swim.
"So you stayed." He started, which is why I turned my attention to him. He was looking at me seriously while crossing both arms over his chest.
"Yes."
"Okay." was her only reply.
Uhmm, should I say something after that?
I just nodded my head twice. He kept staring at me but neither of us spoke for a few minutes. How awkward!
"You're staying for good now." he said, not knowing if he was asking or giving an order. His tone was hard to guess. Even though I'm an English teacher who teaches variation in the pitch of a person's voice including stress and rhythm, I couldn't figure out what he was trying to say with this one.
I nodded twice again. I looked like an idiot.
"Okay then." he said, turning his back on me and never speaking again.
You see, it's hard to bond.
Even though he wasn't facing me, I nodded my head twice again and was about to walk out. But before I could even take a step, he suddenly spoke again.
"I'm prohibiting you from wearing those types of clothes." he said seriously, making me stop and look at myself.
"Excuse me?" I asked in surprise because I really didn't understand what he was saying.
"Stop wearing revealing clothes."
And that's when I realized what he was saying. Shit! I was only wearing a thin shirt and no bra! I closed my eyes tightly because of embarrassment.
"Sorry. But, I don't plan on going out wearing this. I'm fine with it because I was supposed to be sleeping earlier. You're the only one who called me here." he excused himself.
"You bloody liar. I saw you. You were going out of your room even before I got there."
I mentally slapped myself. Oh, by the way. He saw me leaving the room earlier. I wanted to say, why are you barely wearing anything, walking around the entire mansion, but I remembered that this is his house. He's free to do whatever he wants.
"I was just going to get some food from the kitchen, but I don't plan on eating it there. I plan on eating in my room," I explained
.
"Tss. Reasons." he reacted and turned back to me. When I faced him, I crossed both my arms over my chest. It was embarrassing. If he hadn't really criticized what I was wearing, I wouldn't have remembered.
"Have you looked at yourself in the mirror? If you continue wearing those types of clothes, people, especially the eyes of men in this place, will always be glued in your direction. Haven't you noticed that most butlers working here are so fond of you? And don't you realize why? Sometimes, I wonder if you're doing it on purpose or you're just plain dumb. You're catching too much attention, Parker. Just in case you forgot, Priam is a man and you're always with him." he promised seriously.
I thought about what he said. What? I'm not doing anything to catch people's attention. Then we're just close to the butlers because I always invite them for snacks so they don't just hang around. I treat them nicely, that's why. Then Priam?! What is he saying, he treats me like a brother. My clothes aren't revealing every day either. They're just simple clothes? Then why is he asking if I've looked in the mirror. Wait a minute...
Is this his way of telling me I'm beautiful? I know that, but what can I do, this is my face. You're innately beautiful, so you'll be noticed even if you don't do anything to give a motive. Out of all the people, he should understand that.
But seriously, is she calling me pretty? I can't help but smile because of that thought.
"Why the fuck are you smiling?" he asked, frowning.
"I know I'm really pretty, but I'm not going to attract anyone. I have no intention of doing that. My goal here is just to get a job. If someone likes me because of my looks, there's nothing I can do about it." I answered quite confidently. "...there." I added to still be respectful. Because I was so confident, I only talked to my own people. Later, I was suddenly fired.
"Oh bugger! You are---that's not what I'M SAYING!" he's screaming again. "I'm not calling you pretty!"
Oh, that's right! That's the point.
"What do you want to say?" I asked, confused.
"What I'm telling you is that you're a professor and you should dress like one! Avoid wearing clothes where you're showing too much skin. When I say you're catching everyone's attention, I'm referring to your skin! It's normal for boys to stare at someone with fair white skin and that's you!" he explained to shout.
Son of! I've even been told you're not pretty, you're just white.
"Wear a formal long sleeve, a cashmere long sleeve, a blazer, or a long pencil skirt, or something like that. Not some fit v-neck t-shirt, a crop top, and ragged jeans, or that thing you were wearing the other day, that bloody short dress! Do you get it now?" she added.
I bowed down to what he said. He had a point. The clothes I wear when I teach are a bit too mall-style. It's just weird because he knows what I wear even though he's always locked in his room. Maybe he always checks the cctv in the classroom and sees me wearing that, that's why he's stressed out about me.
