**CHAPTER 5 - THE ONE WITH THE POOL SCENE 1.1**

"Her rage earlier wasn't really about the juice. She wasn't angry because Ana dumped her. She was angry because of the conversation she overheard when she came downstairs. She hates stories about killing people. Especially those who are killed by those who have no enemy. I know you understand the reason why." she added

"It seems like their mother wasn't the only one missing. Ever since that incident started, Master Eros hasn't come home. He was on a business trip in London when this house was raided. When he heard what happened, he didn't even come home to visit his children. He could only talk to his siblings on the phone or face time. He also changed a lot. He almost immersed his entire life in their business in London and gave Thera the responsibility here in the Philippines early on. Master Eros hasn't come home for three years."

That's why. It's been a mystery to me for a long time why Eros Arentsvelt isn't at the mansion. He probably can't forgive himself so he can't come home here. What a tragedy what happened to them. That one night changed their whole lives.

When Dahlia noticed that I was crying too, she quickly wiped her tears.

"That's all I can share for now, Sky." he said as he adjusted his seat. I just nodded and even I wiped away my tears.

"Oh, by the way, before I forget." he said, taking the paper bag from behind him and handing it to me.

My eyes literally widened when I noticed the label on the paper bag. Wait---is what I'm seeing right? Is that an apple with a bite?!

"W-what is this?"

"Open it."

Even though I haven't opened it yet, I already know what's inside. Apparently, the paper bag has the Apple logo, what else is inside? I took the cellphone box from inside the paper bag. It's the latest iPhone box. Wait, is this serious?! Maybe it's panties inside!

The box was no longer sealed. It looked like someone had opened it so I opened it easily. When I opened it, inside is the latest iPhone unit. Not panties! Pucha! This is expensive.

"D-Dahlia? What's this for? Hey, I don't have anything to pay for."

"It's a gift. Open it. Go on, check the phone." Dahlia commanded with a smile.

I did as he said. The phone quickly turned on when I pressed the power button on the side. It was really on. I felt my heart skipped a beat when I saw the phone's wallpaper. It's a picture of me, my mom, and my father.

I looked at Dahlia in disbelief. How? I don't understand.

"The technician from the same brand of your broken phone came here earlier. If I'm not mistaken, that guy is the head technician of that phone company. This is your broken phone, it's fixed now." Dahlia handed me my cellphone that was completely broken earlier.

"But of course, since it's already broken, it's better to have a brand new one. All your pictures and files were also transferred to the iPhone. You also paid for additional iCloud storage. So everything is backed up," he explained.

I remained stunned because I didn't know how to react.

"Who did this?"

"I didn't get the technician's name. Is it Allen or Alwy---" stupid

"No. Who bought a phone and then called a technician?"

Dahlia was stunned by my question. Then she seemed to be thinking. "What...I-I." Her answer was obviously not true.

Oh Dahlia. Fool your grandfather.

"You're lying." I said to her, not joking. Right? I'm really getting bold with Dahlia.

He swallowed deeply and looked straight at me. "The twins. They were so sad when they found out you were leaving." he answered directly.

I'm not 100% sure if she's telling the truth, but I immediately stood up and put the cellphones on the bed. "Where are they?"

"In your classroom. They thought you had class. When you didn't come, I told them about that---Sky!"

I didn't let Dahlia finish what she was saying and quickly left the room and took the elevator. She also quickly followed me and took the elevator with me. I headed to the classroom on the second floor of the mansion. When I opened the door, I found the twins slumped down, but they both quickly stood up when they saw me.

"Ate Sky!" they shouted at the same time and ran towards me. When they got closer, AM grabbed both of my hands.

"Ate Sky, please stay. We heard about what happened and we're really sorry. Sorry for what ate did. She only loses her temper sometimes, but not all the time." AM explained while holding my hands tightly.

"AM's right. You won't always see Ate. She rarely comes out. Please stay, Ate Sky. Please..." PM

pleaded.

Without saying anything, I reached for both of them and locked them in a hug.

Now I get it. I know why they're so clingy to me, like they're not professors. In the few days I've been here, the three of us have been spending a lot of bonding time. In fact, one of the things I do to pass the time here is to have snacks with the three of us every afternoon while watching movies. Then yesterday, we played volleyball outside. Their invitation to join their videos on social media is different. PM and I played a video game the other day, while AM's always asking me to braid her hair. I understand it now why they treat me like that. They really see me as a sister. They're longing for that kind of love.

"Ate Sky, we were nice in class. Just think about us, please. Don't leave." said PM, hugging me tighter.

"PM's right. But if you're not going to change your mind, at the very least, tell us where you live so we can visit you there." AM said.

I let go of their embrace and looked at them both. "No. I'm not leaving. I'll stay."

I'm staying for these kids.

Immediately their faces lit up and they hugged back. When the three of us had finished hugging, I reached out to shake their hands. I looked at their sweet faces and smiled at them "Thank you for the new phone."

Both of them lost their smiles and were replaced by surprise. Both of them looked at something, rather say, someone standing at my back. When I turned around, I saw Dahlia standing behind me while smiling.

I looked back at the twins. Now they're both smiling again.

"We're glad that you love it." AM said after recovering from the shock earlier. I just smiled at him.

2 days had passed after that phone incident. I was able to take a rest day and went home. Mom and I had a long conversation with Riley. But of course, I didn't tell them about Thera throwing stones at my cellphone. I just told them that the phone was given to me as a gift. Mom was even asking who gave the gift, if it was Arentsvelt. My mom seemed to be relieved thinking that I was being courted.

Because of that, I explained to him that the Arentsvelts I had in the house were two women and the only boy was 17 years old when he stopped pimping. I only talked to mom and Riley, because Luna and Mykel were so busy with work. I know they want to see me, but their job is really important. We also talked about the new victim of the serial killer.

I'm currently in my room here at the Arentsvelts' mansion. It's Sunday night and I just got back from work. I just finished washing my face, doing skin care, and changing into pink pajamas and a thin black sandong, so I can get ready for bed. I'm currently combing my hair in front of the mirror.

After that incident, I never saw Thera again. I never brought her dinner again. After what happened, I no longer feel the responsibility of getting her approval. I heard that she doesn't come out of her room anymore, but they weren't surprised because they said there was nothing new. I feel like she's just soaking up the Friends she's been watching.

I also learned that he didn't completely fire Aling Ana because I met her earlier when I got home from the mansion. That's a good thing. Ana said that Dahlia fought with her that's why she's still here.

I was about to lie down but I felt my stomach suddenly growl. I didn't catch up on dinner here at the mansion because I got home late and the twins were already asleep. My last meal at home was at 7pm. What time is it?

I checked my new iPhone, yes I'm proud, iPhone.

It's already 12:45 AM That's why I'm feeling hungry. Because of that, I thought about going out and getting some food. I already know where the food is. The chiffon cake. There's always something like that in the kitchen. That's my midnight snack.

I put my phone down on the bed before walking towards the door. I didn't plan on staying in the kitchen. I'll eat here in the room since I have a table and chairs. here. Later, when I was downstairs eating, Thera suddenly came out and then we met again. I'm trying to avoid her. I don't want to see her face no matter how beautiful it is.

I opened the door but then I paused when I heard the sound of elevator. From my room there was a straight and long hallway where you could see the elevator. My heart suddenly beat faster because of the nervousness when the elevator door opened.

Speaking of the devil…

She raised her head and our eyes quickly met. Because of that, I quickly went back inside the room and closed the door.

"Lord, are you really tripping me?" I asked the air. I leaned against the bedroom door. "5 minutes. I'll be here for 5 minutes. Maybe he's not there anymore." I added, still talking to myself.
