To protect what’s mine Chapter 60

Damn, Ama is fast. Even with a bad leg, she is still fast. Luckily for Molly, I’m faster. I wrap my arms around Ama’s waist and pull her towards me.

“Let me go!” Ama orders.

Zviad almost complies. He wants blood just as much as Beren and Ama do.

“Why?” I order. My command over taking everyone in the room.

“I… I,” Molly starts to whimper as she fights the control.

“Everyone out!” James orders, as he is glaring at Molly. He has enough presence of mind to clear the room so this does not turn into a bigger spectacle.

The pack quickly files out of the meeting hall. Soon it’s just me, Mark, Rose, Ama, Sam, James, Nick, Molly, her parents, and Colton. James fixes his dad with a look, and Colton huffs before walking out.

“Alphas, I want to know why this s-” Natalie starts.

I growl at her, shutting her up. She is a chosen mate. She was not destined to be a Gamma, so she is unable to fight my command at all.

“Let us be reasonable,” Jarrett growls. His growl is directed towards us, and our wolves do not like the insubordination.

“That rose she is holding; has my daughter’s blood on it’s thorn!” Ama shouts as she struggles to get lose again.

“I found this rose in the hall,” Molly tries to defend. “I was on the way to the Alphas’ office when I found it. I don’t know anything about the pup.”

“I passed you in the hallway,” Sam speaks up as he has his sister fixed with a glare.

“Yes, after I got the rose for the alphas,” she clarifies as she waves the rose around in the air.

“You said you found it in the hall. If you found that rose in the hallway, it could have been dropped by someone in the pack,” I growl at her, pointing out the holes in her statement.

“I found the rose in the hall and figured it was what you wanted,” Molly tries to defend.

“Why does where she found the rose matter?” Natalie asks trying to diffuse the tension.

“You can’t be that dumb!” Ama growl at the woman as she attempts to get free again. I can feel her irritation that is directed at me as she struggles to lunge for the Gamma’s mate.

“Exactly, it’s a random rose I found,” she tries again, this time there is anger in voice and eyes. And it’s directed at Ama

“Mol, are you saying that you would give the Luna a random flower you found on the ground?” Sam asks his sister. He has the same calculating look in his eyes as the rest of his family has.

“It’s not a random flower I found! It’s my rose the twins got for me and that stupid brat had it!” Molly screams in anger.

Everyone in the room freezes at the statement. There’s a breath and then another and then chaos breaks out. There is screaming and growling being heard from everyone.

“Enough!” Zviad shouts as he forces his way forward. He plants a kiss on Ama’s forehead to calm her down before he looks around the room. “Speak weak one,” he orders of Molly’s wolf.

Mallory doesn’t even hesitate to throw her human under the bus. “We were on our way to the office when Molly spotted the pup with the pink rose. She became upset that the pup had one of the roses she claimed as hers. Molly hit the pup and then locked her in the supply closet, Alpha,” Mallory responds before retreating.

Molly collapses on the floor. The look of utter betrayal flashes across her face. It is a betrayal when you and your wolf betray one another. But it’s worse if you betray your pack for selfish reasons.

“Let me at her!” Beren demands as she starts to try to pull a shift.

“Not yet little one,” Zviad chuckles as he looks down at our mate. “Do not move another inch!” Zviad orders at Gamma Jarrett as he had been trying to make subtle movements. “Did you know?”

“Know what?” Jarrett tries to ask.

“Do not test me! My pup has been hurt and I’m about to let my mate lose on your family so she can kill your mate and daughter,” Zviad growls in anger and annoyance.

“I was not part of my daughter locking your pup up,” Jarrett answers.

“That is not what I asked!” Zviad thunders, bringing Jarrett to his knees. “Did you know your daughter locked up my daughter?”

“She’s not your pup,” Molly growls.

Oh she is so dead! Molly did not just tell an Alpha what was not his. I’m going to enjoy this.

“Say that again!” Aziz growls, he holds Rose protectively away from the threat.

“Let’s be clear, you fed Molly’s delusion that she would be Luna. She is not Luna material. Amalie is the twins fated mate. That doesn’t change,” Sam growls as he places himself between us and his father. Skol is pushing forward.

“Hold your tongue pup!” Jarrett growls at his son.

“The Luna, it is my job to protect her. I will protect her, even from my own family. That also means her pup,” he continues to growl at his father.

“I and Gang were Mathew’s Gamma long before you were even born,” Jarrett snarls.

“But you are not our Gamma. Gamma Jarrett, Natalie, and Molly, you will be confined to the cells until-” I start before Rose moves.

“She the mean lady,” Rose whimpers from my twin’s arms. “She hit me and stole mommy’s flower.”

“Until Rose identifies who hit her,” I finish with a smirk. Our little pup has the best timing. “Well, I guess that settles that.”

“You’re just going to take the word of child over your father’s Gamma!” Jarrett shouted in anger. He moved to try and intimidate us, but James and Sam stop him.

“Yes,” Mark growls.

“Now, now that she has identified who attacked her. You three are still sentenced to the cells until we reach a decision on what to do with you,” I state. I mind link Jimmy, Vickie, and Colton to come back in. I have a few questions for Colton.
