Mistake With The Alpha Chapter 143

Jaylen's POV

　　The more I heard that the more scared I got. I must protect my mate.

　　"How did you find out Alpha?" Ethan asked.

　　" Last night, a vampire came to tell me this".

　　" Vampire in our territory?" Ethan exclaimed.

　　" Yes. I'm going to speak to Alvin. He must find more competent guards for every strategic areas" I said.

　　" That's needed Alpha" Ethan nodded.

　　I was quite sad about this new finding. I couldn't imagine that this was how Sam would be hunted all through her life. I felt this was quite unfair on the poor girl's side.

　　"Is this how Sam would be hunted all her life?" I asked sadly.

　　If I could change this I would do it without a second thought. Sam has suffered so much that she should be hunted again.

　　Ethan looked at me and shook his head.

　　"No Alpha. According to the book I read, it says that there will be a time when the Luna wouldn't be useful to them anymore" .

　　His words gave me little hope. I just prayed in my heart that it wouldn't be a long time.

　　"What time is that?"

　　That was good news to me. I had thought that I would fight all through my life.

　　"According to the book of history again, there would be a time where her wolf's blueness would be at its peak. This time her powers can't be extracted anymore and she herself could control the powers. By then her wolf will lose all its blueness and she will take on the colour of the moon. This time no one would be able to touch her''.

　　Hearing this I sighed. I listened to what Ethan said but then my mind was still troubled because she's still very much in danger. Who knows when the time he's talking about will come. To me it's just like a mirage in the desert.

　　"Don't worry Alpha, I promise you, I'll keep the Luna safe with my last breath" Ethan said when he saw that what he told me earlier didn't relieve my sadness.

　　I was also scared of something. She was not able to move freely among her people. If everyone finds out about her uniqueness, wouldn't they want to grab her and eat her? If I'm able to shield her from outsiders would I be able to shield her from insiders?

　　"Ethan, keeping her safe from outsiders is not my sole concern. It's the insiders. What if they decided to eat her too?" My voice was very sour.

　　Since I heard of what could happen to my mate, I was already having a headache. I didn't regret that Sam was given to me as a mate. In fact I have loved her so much even before the mating bond was allowed to work.

　　"It doesn't work for insiders Alpha" he replied.

　　Looking at him, I asked. " What do you mean?"

　　"According to the history book, none of us in the Sunclad pack can touch her. So all we need is just to watch out for betrayals" he replied.

　　I didn't get what he meant. So I wanted to know more.

　　"Your words are too little for me to understand. Say more" I said quickly.

　　" According to how it is designed, any pack a blue wolf is from can't kill her. Her heart is not useful to any of us. Even if we try killing her, the person who ever tries it will die in the process. So she can't be killed in the pack.........."

　　I sighed in relief now that I know that I won't fight on two sides. It would have been too exhausting and risky.

　　"But..........."

　　Ethan continued and I looked at him.

　　" She can be betrayed. We would just be careful with anyone around her. They should be monitored closely because no one can be trusted. She can be sold out" he said.

　　I nodded in agreement at what he said. Now I'm going to use technology at its peak. I don't mind spending all my savings on protecting my mate. I'll make sure I protect her.

　　"Let's draw out plans on what we can do to keep her safe. Then let's come together for a meeting. I'll call Alvin too. All these will be between the three of us. Am I understood?"

　　" Yes, Alpha," he said.

　　" I'll need you to help me with those history books of yours. I need to read them".

　　Ethan nodded. I also need to know about my mate's specialty. If I have the knowledge, I'll know what to do at any point in time.

　　"Alpha....." Ethan called.

　　"Will you tell Luna about all these?"

　　That's a very good question. I've also thought about it during the night but I then saw that it would be a very bad idea to tell her. She's pregnant and she'll be living in fear and that's one thing I don't want.

　　"No. Well keep it to ourselves" I replied.

　　" Yes Alpha".
