Mistake With The Alpha Chapter 152
Allison's POV
"Dad, shouldn't we give up now?" I asked my father.
I know that you'll be wondering why this was coming out from my mouth after all we've been through. It wasn't like it was a thing of joy to me to give up. But what I didn't know was that if the next witch or wizard I'll find will be Diana's relative. I don't want to take that risk anymore. I'm still so young and I'm sure if I make any more mistakes, that witch will kill me. I don't want to die.
"After all we've been through. Giving up would be a bad idea for us. Have you forgotten that we've lost all and if we give up now, we'll be rogue all the days of our lives and you know that's a long one, child".
I could understand from my father's perspective, but then I don't trust that witch even though my father trusted so much. She's very dubious. After so many days that my father left her place, she just called him once and that was today. Before she behaved like we didn't exist. I wonder what the witch wanted to have called my father. I wouldn't have followed my father if he hadn't insisted that I follow him.
"My daughter, I know that all this process is quite tiring and isn't going as we planned but on the long run when I later become the alpha of the Sunclad pack, we'll forget all these troubles in a moment. All the wealth and power that will come to us will make us know that the pain is worth it" he said dreamingly.
Everything he said looked so good but then isn't it going to be all a dream? Will we be able to be the Alpha of that powerful pack? I was quite ambitious too but then it seemed our ambition was going nowhere. I was getting tired because I just wanted to go find my mate and get married.
We got to Diana's cave. My father told me that if I don't want to ruin things I should be polite. I knew this. I've learnt my lesson the hard way. I knew how many days I had to recover from those strange things.
Diana was waiting outside for us. Seeing that witch disgusts me but what could I do? I seemed not to have a choice of my own here. When she saw us, she ran to my father and hugged him.
"I miss you so much Omar. If I hadn't called you, you wouldn't have come to see me" she whined.
I snorted at the pretending woman. She was really good at it. I'm not so blind to see that she was faking it. But then, my father was so oblivious to this woman's plot. I wondered what she was up to now.
She looked at me and I was glad that she didn't even try to talk to me. Neither did I say a word to her. We are sworn enemies and I'll never forgive her for what she did to me. I looked around, I saw that her friend that I unknowingly brought to her wasn't inside. It was as if my father and I were thinking the same thing......
"Where is your friend?" My father asked.
" Are you talking about Zul?" Diana asked.
I don't know who she wants him to talk about again. It wasn't as if we'd ever met anyone with her. She was even more lonely than a lone wolf.
"Yes," my father nodded.
"He returned to his place days ago. He said when he heard that someone knows me, he only came to confirm if it's truly me and to check if I'm fine" she said smiling.
I wondered what was making the witch happy today. It's very rare to see her smile and I'll never believe it because she saw us. Maybe it was because of that Zul that I brought to her. I raised my nose in disgust. Those two disgusts me. I then noticed that Diana was looking at me. I looked at her.
"Thanks to Allison, she made me see one of my family again".
I didn't know who needed her pretending thanks. I didn't even acknowledge it. My father was looking at me but then I did as if I didn't know. I just want the witch to say the reason she summoned us and let us leave.
The witch brought out wine and served us. I wouldn't dare drink water in the house of this witch, talk more of drinking wine. She must have poisoned it. I don't trust her a bit.
"Thanks" my father said, collecting the drink and immediately taking a direct sip from it.
I just eyed mine where she kept it. I wouldn't blame my father for not thinking anything bad about the witch. He wasn't seeing from my own perspective.
"Why am I here?" I asked with a very dull voice.
I didn't want that woman to think I'll feel relaxed with her. I hate her and I can't change that.
"It's all good news," she replied.
My father and I looked at her to go on.
"We are very close to ruling," she said.
That didn't move me. I've heard that phrase before and it never worked out. I just looked at her to say whatever she had in her mouth. I just know that if I'm not interested none can force me. Not even my father.
"I've found another thing which can give us good success and it's all about the blue wolf," she said.
She then took a sip of her drink as if waiting to let what she said sink on her head.
"Blue wolf?" My father asked.
The only person that I know has a blue wolf is none other than Jaylen's mate, Samantha. How did she want to use her?
"Your Alpha's mate" Diana said.
"What about her?" My father asked.
His eyes were slightly closed and he had a little frown on his face. I just sat there observing what she had to say. She has never planned anything against Sam that ever worked. Everything failed badly. Now she still wants to try another.
"According to history, anyone that eats the heart of the blue wolf, will be made stronger than ever. And nothing or no one could ever be able to conquer the person" she explained.
This was the very first time I saw my father doubt Diana. He has always received her news with joy. He didn't say it out but then, his looks said it all. I was glad that this time, he wasn't swayed by her deceitful lips.
Diana too also saw that she wasn't believed. This made her bring out a book. The book looks so old that it was as if it was going to tear even at the slightest touch. She opened the book and gave it to my father, pointing at where he would read.
I quickly moved closer to them so as to see it and read it with my own eyes. Reading the lines my father's finger was pointing at, it showed that she wasn't lying. It was exactly what she said. My father and I exchanged a surprised look.
"Didn't you two think I was lying?" She asked. "As if I ever lied to you," she added.
"I'm sorry Diana but then what you said was quite ambiguous and was hard to believe" my father apologised.
I just looked at her.
"But then, this book just said we are going to get powerful by eating the blue wolf's heart," my father said, still quite shocked.
If any of us have known earlier. All I'll just have to do is to make friends with Sam. Then one day, lure her to a place and rip her heart off. Instead of us going through all those failed troubles. None would have even known that it was our doing.
