Mistake With The Alpha Chapter 40

Jaylen's POV

　　I was happy that my mate decided to come live in the pack house. I had told Sally to prepare her room. She might not be my wish but she's my mate and I have the obligation to be with her. I've known Allison and her father. They are good people. At least my mate is someone I know. Even if I feel like treating her badly, I'll think of what her father has done for me. Once I get out of this office, I'll go look for my mate. This was still my thought when I heard a knock on my door.

　　"Come in," I said.

　　One of my guards came in. "Alpha" he bowed.

　　I looked at him to say what he wanted to say.

　　"A maid asked me to inform you that Sam is being flogged at the training ground," he said.

　　It was as if someone sliced my heart with a blade. My face became so angry. Who dares to touch my woman! I didn't even wait to hear another. I just stood up and marched to the place with my guards after me.

　　When I got there I saw the guard flogging her. Sam wasn't even crying. She didn't even shout. As the whip touched her, it was as if it was me he flogged.

　　"How dare you!!!" I roared.

　　Everything came to a stop. I looked around and saw them all. Allison was there.

　　"Who dares to touch anyone without my consent?" I asked in ire.

　　None spoke. I then looked at the guard who was flogging Sam. He was so scared that he moved back.

　　"Who gave you the order to whip her?" I asked again.

　　" It's........ Sally" he stammered.

　　This was a shock to me because Sally has never ordered anyone to do anything like that. I looked at Sally and her face was not looking good. She looked scared. I was still looking at Sally when Allison moved to my side.

　　"Don't get too angry at her Alpha. She was only taking my side. The lady pushed me on a broken plate when I went to say hi to the maids in the kitchen" she said softly.

　　I couldn't believe what I'm hearing. Sally and Sam are the nicest people I've ever seen in my life. I looked at Sam who was seated on the ground. I know she's in pain and was trying not to cry.

　　"You don't believe me?" She asked me.

　　I looked at her and didn't say anything to what she said. "To my office" I ordered, pointing at Sam, Sally and Allison. I then walked away.

　　This scene isn't so good for me. The women I love were clashing. I thought they would be able to cope with each other. I didn't expect that so soon things would be bad between them. I know Allison to be a sweet girl but I don't know how she grew up. Sam has never been violent, even when she's bullied and Sally has never done anything without my order.

　　I went into my office so angry. Allison was the first to enter.

　　"You have to believe me. It's not Sally's fault. The lady was the one who started it. In fact she had a knife in her hands as if she wanted to stab me" she said moving closer to me.

　　The rest entered and was followed by my beta Alvin. I didn't even know he had already returned from the construction site.

　　"Alpha" he greeted.

　　"Beta" I said, not even looking at him.

　　I looked at Sam and Sally. They seem not to have a thing to defend themselves. Even with what Allison said, I still felt that Sam might be misunderstood.

　　"Sam what the hell did I hear you do to my mate?" I asked glaring at her.

　　Sam looked at me and she seemed disappointed with the question I asked but I have to ask. I might love Sam but the love I have for my mate is more than hers. If I take her side, I'll definitely hurt my mate. Sam opened her mouth to talk but then she couldn't say a thing. She even sent back the tears that wanted to come to her eyes.

　　"Won't you answer me?" I asked.

　　I wanted her to explain the whole thing and I was going to believe her.

　　"I have nothing to say, Alpha," Sam said softly.

　　This really annoyed me. I didn't like how she didn't want to tell me what happened.

　　"How rude of you. I know you are hurting because the Alpha found his mate. I also pity you but that doesn't mean you should want to kill me. I didn't want to hurt you. I only want to be friendly with you. Now you want the Alpha to think we are the wicked one" Allison said with a calm voice.

　　I knew if I didn't scold Sam, things would be worse. Allison might be trying to know if I love her more than Sam.

　　"I'm dismissing you from the kitchen. You resume your training and join the warrior nurses" I ordered.

　　I was glaring at Sam. I want to see emotion on her face but there seems to be none. I don't know when Sam turned like this. I want to start to believe what Allison said.

　　"And Sally......."

　　Allison cuts in again.

　　" Please don't punish Sally. She's only trying to protect me as their coming Luna. She would have killed me today. Sally's a good person" she said with a pleading voice.

　　I looked at Sally and she also just like Sam didn't have any expression. She just stood there. I'm really confused and I needed clarification.

　　"You can go," I said to Sally.

　　She then bowed and left.

　　Allison sat on my lap unawares. This caught me off guard that I shrinked. She didn't even mind that my Beta was seated at the couch looking at us.

　　"My mate is the best," she said to me, putting her hands around my neck.

　　"What have I done?" I asked her.

　　I love the smell of her body. Even Hort was groaning. Mate he kept on chanting in my head.

　　"You are a very nice Alpha. I thought you would have done more to her for trying to kill your mate. Some would even banish the lady" she said with a smile.

　　I don't know if she was telling me what to do or if she was truly glad for my clemency. This whole thing is truly confusing. I need to go see my father about this whole issue but first I have to ask Sally why she would do that to Sam. I thought they were acquaintances.

　　Allison bowed and kissed my lips. This sent my balls rolling. I know she's too forward but this is not bad. I deepened the kiss but something was off. I broke the kiss and looked at her. She smiled at me.

　　"What?" She asked me.

　　"Let's wait till the mating rite and you are distracting me. I have a lot on my table" I told her, faking a smile.

　　" But I want to be with you," she said, then pouted like a child.
