The Perfect Revenge Chapter 2

The forensic team quickly got into position, collecting evidence at the scene. Detective Ross followed me inside to check the security footage.

He knew I had cameras installed.

"Detective Ross, I'm pretty sure the footage has been tampered with."

I took a sip of water to calm my nerves and opened the surveillance software.

"Wait... it's still there."

The surveillance footage was still intact?

The video showed that at 5:16 AM, a man wrapped in an army-green coat carried a burlap sack into my yard.

His face wasn't visible.

But his characteristics were clear.

Male, about five-foot-nine, slightly overweight.

He opened the sack and, as if admiring a work of art, arranged the body into its current position, then casually left.

From entrance to exit, he took less than three minutes.

"Detective Ross, this killer is probably the same person from the last case. No clues left at the scene."

Ross's fists clenched with an audible crack. Could there really be such a perfect crime in this world?

Three murders, and they hadn't found a single lead.

"Good work. Take it back for analysis, and get the autopsy report ASAP."

This was the third homicide in the jurisdiction. It was extremely serious by any standard—they had to solve it quickly.
