"Hello, Detective Ross. I'm Agent David Zhang from the State Bureau's Major Crimes Unit. The Wilsonville case has been transferred to us. Please hand over all materials for the transition."

As soon as Ross returned to the station, he got hit with this bombshell.

No strangulation marks on the neck, no bloody foam in the lungs—not mechanical asphyxiation.

The actual cause of death was blunt force trauma to the head, though he didn't die immediately and had struggled with the killer.

On his arms were grip marks left by the killer.

The killer's methods were brutally cruel—not only killing and dismembering the victim but also soaking the body in brine.
