The lab results shocked everyone.

The hair belonged to Louis Tucker.

The fingerprints belonged to Louis Tucker.

The blood belonged to Louis Tucker.

So they hadn't found a single trace of the killer?

"Unless the killer IS Louis Tucker, but how could he kill himself and then dismember his own body?"

Both Detective Ross and Agent Zhang were stunned.

Was the killer a ghost? Really not leaving a single clue to solve the case?

"Pull all the surrounding surveillance footage. We did catch the killer, but every time he's wrapped in that coat. He's very familiar with Wilsonville's camera placement."

"This is a high-intelligence criminal."

"Request funding. We're installing more cameras. I want complete coverage of all of Wilsonville."

Wilsonville welcomed a large construction crew. They installed cameras in every corner of the village, achieving true comprehensive coverage.

"Detective Ross, there's a letter."

An officer rushed into the office and handed the letter to Ross.

Zhang also turned to look at Ross.

"What does it say?"

Ross took a deep breath.

"Probably nothing good."

He opened the letter.

[Cameras? They won't help you.]

There was also a USB drive in the envelope.

"Read the drive. Let's see what's on it."

"Holy shit..."

The USB drive contained a video—footage of them installing the surveillance cameras. Both Detective Ross and Agent Zhang were in it.

Zhang slammed his fist on the desk, his teeth grinding audibly.

"Arrogant. Too damn arrogant!"

Ross's expression also turned strange. Many Wilsonville residents had been watching from behind during the installation, and the killer had been among them?

"If I don't crack this case, I don't deserve my badge!"

Zhang said through gritted teeth. As the State Bureau's star detective, he wouldn't tolerate being provoked.

"Agent Zhang, let's review the evidence. I have a feeling the killer will strike again."

Zhang's expression froze.

"He'll kill again?"

Ross nodded vigorously. "If we don't solve this, he'll keep killing and leaving us evidence."

"Haven't you noticed? Each time he kills, he leaves us a bit more evidence."

"It's like... he's deliberately guiding us to solve the case."

Zhang was floored.

He'd thought this killer was just a simple psychopath. Turned out his psychology was this twisted too.

Not only killing people but complaining that the police were too slow to catch him.
