The Lilith Protocol Chapter 10

"Everyone's so tense, but you're so relaxed. Do you know something?"

Number five asked.

Number ten didn't seem like the scheming type. He quickly waved his hands.

"No, I'm just glad I'm okay right now..."

"So you're happy he died? Let me tell you, you won't escape either. Don't think he died in your place!"

Number four was righteous and indignant, pointing at number ten's nose, spittle flying.

While they argued, I slipped away.

Lilith liked wearing red dresses. Maybe I could use that clue to find her room.

If they'd already completed their tasks, what would happen in the next few rounds?

Worried, I searched until I found a room with a red dress.

Every room in the castle was decorated similarly. I'd searched through all the dressing rooms.

When I saw that splash of red, my heart settled.

Turning around, I saw an inconspicuous picture book on the table.

"Nursery Rhyme Collection..."

I read the title aloud, my eyes lighting up.

It recorded many nursery rhymes. One called "Praise the Moon" caught my attention.

The melody was simple and would be easy to play completely.

I flipped through more pages, and a note fell out.

I immediately picked it up.

Written in crooked letters:

"Everyone says I'm a lucky star. Become a star, bring everyone luck."

This was clearly Lilith's handwriting.

Lucky star... Everyone loved her. If she was so popular, who would frame her?

No, no, I must have missed something.

I tore out the page with "Praise the Moon," folded it, and put it in my pocket.

And that note too.

After carefully examining the room, there was nothing else special.

I wanted to search the terrace again.

I'd searched everywhere else many times, but had rarely been there.
