"You're right. We should stick together."

That way I could also see clearly how they died.

After the NPCs finished talking to me, they moved incredibly fast. The terrace was soon restored to its original appearance.

Suddenly, chaotic cawing erupted behind me.

"AAAH—Help!"

Walter and I hadn't reached the hall yet when suddenly a huge flock of ravens burst out, startling me into covering my head.

The ravens flew over my head, their wings flapping with especially clear sounds.

After silence returned, I lifted my head and looked.

Number seven, who'd been surrounded and questioned by everyone earlier, was dead.

He lay in the center, his body riddled with holes.

The others had scattered, crouching on the ground protecting their heads.

"How did seven die?"

Walter gasped.

This escape room had become truly bizarre at this point.

"A huge flock of ravens suddenly flew in and attacked people for no reason."

Number two was breathing heavily, still in shock.

He'd talked the most earlier, so feeling frightened was understandable.

"Looks like you were right. This is too weird. We should leave."

Number five looked at number four—number seven's friend.

Watching his friends die one after another, number four naturally couldn't accept it.

His legs trembled. He didn't dare approach number seven.

After a while, he finally lifted his head, looking at us with something like despair.

"This game... I'm afraid we can't quit anymore."

"Why?!"

Everyone pressed him with questions, but number four only grew more anguished. He kept shaking his head, muttering under his breath.

But we couldn't hear what he was saying.

To help him calm down, everyone tried to comfort him.

Even Walter did.

I stood nearby, occasionally agreeing with them.

Number one's death should have been man-made. If the beneficiary wasn't number seven, it had to be number four.

Number four used number seven, making him complete the task for him.

So this round, number seven died.

Number ten, seeing the death order wasn't following the numbers, breathed a sigh of relief.

But number five caught this movement.
