Interrogation room.

"Officer, that's all my interactions with Susan Miller during this time period."

My heart was racing because the officer had just told me that my wife Lana had also disappeared...

"So... you and your wife had dinner at Susan Miller's house last night and then went home?"

I nodded vigorously. "Yes, absolutely. Oh wait—I have surveillance footage at home!"

The officer's eyes lit up.

I quickly pulled out my phone and opened the surveillance app.

Sure enough, the footage showed Lana and me arriving home at nine PM.

"The surveillance cut out at 3 AM. Where were you then?"

Hearing the officer's question, I couldn't help but worry. Could this really be related to Lana?

"Officer, my wife and I were home all night... we were..."

My face turned red.

There were two other officers present, one taking notes, and a camera...

"Last night we were... trying to make a baby... until after four."

"Proof." The officer didn't care about my embarrassment.

"Well... after we finished, my wife and I were looking online to buy some supplements. Ahem... I didn't have enough money, so my wife transferred me some."

After saying this, all my energy seemed drained. So embarrassing!

The two officers checked my purchase history and bank records.

It was true. The first purchase was at 3:45 AM, the second at 3:53 AM.

In between, Lana had transferred me a thousand dollars.

"Jake Wilson, we still need to wait for the forensic report. Currently, neither you nor your wife's suspicions have been cleared. If you have evidence to prove your innocence, contact us immediately."
