"I see you've found my stash of liquor," Amusement tugged at his lips as he watched her gaze up at him from beneath those doe-like lashes, her eyes glassy and barely focusing on him. She was so out of it.

Her small and pouty lips spread into a careless smile, visibly lost within that euphoric state.

"Oh, you mean bestie? Yeah, she's right over there," she let herself collapse back onto the crumpled sheets, her arm stretching out to point to a specific corner of the room where she knew she'd left the bottle of vodka.

Okay, so maybe she was completely wasted but at least she was still capable of thinking to some degree. Which was quite impressive, considering how small and thin she was. She could really hold her liquor, for a person her size.

"We had so much fun today together..." her eyelids fluttered closed but that smile remained plastered on her doll-like lips as she laid there like that, completely content and relaxed. So vulnerable and trustful. Unaware of the dangerous beast hovering above her. The possible threat. She looked so carefree and confident lying there underneath him, and even though it warmed his very heart, the fact that she seemed to be trusting him so much -even with her life- he didn't like it. He would never harm her of course, very far from that thought. But he didn't like it either. Because that only meant that she was prone to be vulnerable and trustful with other people too, and that thought didn't sit too well with him. He hated the idea of someone hurting her, no matter how or why.

The shirt she was currently wearing -his shirt- was poorly buttoned, revealing the upper part of one of her round and perky mounds. It looked so soft and inviting. So delectable. But he tugged on the hem with two fingers and pulled it higher, covering it from his view. It didn't feel right. Gazing upon her body whilst she was in such a state.

"I've noticed. I like the way you sing by the way. You have an amazing voice," he softly said, tilting his head to the side and pausing to admire the sight of that peaceful and content expression plastered over her delicate features for another moment.

She looked so incredibly beautiful.

"That bastard! He told me that I sound like a dying cat," her head lolled to the side, expressing a dissatisfied grimace.

His brows furrowed, wondering who it was that she was talking about. But the sound of her heart changing beats immediately gave it away. Oh.

Nate.

"Well, I don't know why he said that but he was lying. You sound incredible," he truthfully said, the hint of a smile dancing on his lips as she turned her head and opened her eyes, staring up at him.

Her droopy eyes trailed over his torso and he quickly remembered that he was still straddling her, and with his shirt unbuttoned.

He sat up and climbed off of her legs and the bed altogether, careful not to somehow press against her limbs or even touch her. And once he was standing on his own two feet he rushed to button up his shirt, all the while she remained sprawled there, in the middle of his bed.

"Anyway, she's the only one that gets me and that's why I love her so much, man..." her arms spread to her sides and she lazily dragged them up and down for a few times, tracing them over his crumpled sheets.

"Does she know that you almost blew your own face off because of her? Did you tell her?" He tauntingly replied with a mild shake of his head, the mental image of her holding that gun right underneath her chin still haunting him.

She was so reckless. The Goddess only knows what would've happened if the gun somehow discharged itself before his arrival. He shuddered at the thought.

She was safe now, and that was all that mattered. But even so, he had to find a way to keep her supervised, next time he was out for another round of supplies.

"No...but she's amazing anyway. She gets me and she helped me forget about his lies..." she said with a soft sigh, carelessly turning to lay on her side, her hand raising to rest over the bed, right in front of her face.

"He lied to me about everything. He told me that everything I touch becomes better and that I'm awesome. But I know that he lied. Now I know because I almost fucking killed myself. I'm not awesome. I fucking suck,"

She was talking, but he was failing to listen. Because now, thanks to all that reckless shuffling around in his bed that shirt on her body had risen up, giving him a nice and full view of her bare ass. It was right there. All of it. Right there for him to see. He could even see a glimpse of those small and smooth pussy lips.

She was completely naked underneath that shirt. She had nothing else on.

*Sweet, merciful Goddess.*

"Darius..." He blinked and forcefully snapped himself out of that trance at the sound of his name rolling off her tongue, hurrying to avert his gaze anywhere else but there.

"Do you think that I'm awesome?" She meekly asked and his jaw clenched, struggling not to look at that sinful place again as he approached the bed and pulled the duvet from underneath her, covering her lush and mouth-watering body with it.

"Actually, no. I think that you're an asshole. You're a crazy asshole who likes so much to toy with my heart and sanity," he roughly said, puffing out a frustrated breath of air through his nostrils.

He could swear that she was freaking infuriating sometimes. In moments like this one right here, where she would unknowingly torture him, whether it was with the sight of her enchanting body or a fucking gun under her chin.

"I've only had you here for a couple of weeks and yet you've already driven me crazy," he quietly admitted, his hand balling into a tight fist at his side as he watched her try to shimmy out from underneath the covers.

Goddess, she was worse than a child.

"You're driving me fucking nuts," he gritted his teeth and pulled those covers back up, having half a mind to just wrap them around her and trap her in there. At least that way she would stay freaking covered.

"I'm sorry..." she quietly uttered and blew out a soft sigh, thankfully having stopped from trying to escape those damned covers.

"Come on. Let's get you to bed," he leaned over and tried to gather her in his arms along with that duvet covering her but she immediately placed a hand against the middle of his chest, trying to push him away.

"No. I wanna stay here with you. I'm your wife," she mumbled in protest, making him pause and stare down at her, his brow raising with curiosity.

What was going on through that drunken little mind of hers?

"Since when?" He simply asked, waiting for her answer.

"Since you and I were engaged because my father gave me to you. He gave me to you, not to Natey," she started to explain, his face morphing with surprise and even a little bit of wonder.

She was still thinking about all that?

"So you're my husband now since you're still alive and all that.

We have to sleep together like husband and wife now. We have to sleep in the same bed," his lips parted at the sound of that, barely managing to brace himself just in time as she'd suddenly taken ahold of his shirt and tugged at it, almost on the verge of making him fall on top of her.

"Carina!" He uttered her name with a warning tone, but she paid no heed. Instead she remained completely carefree and relaxed, not even bothering to open her eyes as she tugged at his shirt again.

*Goddess almighty.*

"Come on, hold me. You're my husband you're supposed to hold me," she insisted and he lastly gave up -in spite of his own self- carefully laying on the bed behind her before he placed a gentle arm around her waist. He had absolutely no idea why he was doing this. He was supposed to carry her back into her bedroom and tuck her under her own covers, let her rest. But for some unknown reason he'd caved in to her drunken insistences instead, letting her occupy the middle of his bed and the center of his thoughts as she laid there, so blissfully unaware.

"Mm, I like this. I like the way you hold me. It feels nice and cuddly. You do have demony eyes but I like them. They don't scare me..." she mumbled out and he couldn't help but smile at the sound of that, mildly amused yet also a little bit flattered.

She liked his eyes. He knew that their rather unusual colour could appear scary sometimes -especially to pretty and sweet girls like her- but not to her. She liked them.

"They used to, but I'm not scared now. Because I like the way you look at me..." she let out a breathless sigh and pushed herself closer to him, plastering her duvet-covered body against his. He could still feel the curve of her ass though, pressing against his manhood in such a painfully arousing way.

"Darius?"

He only hummed in reply, too preoccupied with trying to gently pull himself away.

"Am I your wife?"

He paused, hesitating for a moment, torn between letting her play her drunken little childish game or putting an abrupt end to all this. He quickly decided upon the former, letting her play for just a little bit longer.

"You can be, if you want to," he lazily said, a small smile gracing his lips. She wasn't going to remember any of this come tomorrow anyway.

"Okay..."

"I am your wife now. Can we have sex?"

He froze for a second, feeling his member twitch with raw want at the mere idea of that. He did want her so so much. He was indeed very attracted to her already, that bond between them tugging at his strings like a motherfucker as it firmly demanded for their union, more and more with every day that passed. They were meant to be together. They were created for each other by nature itself. Two halves of the same soul. However...

*Shit. Walked right into that one.*

"Not right now, because you have to go to sleep," he answered with a tired exhale, gently placing a small kiss over the top of her head before he could even try to stop himself. She smelt so good. Way too good for her own safety.

"Oh. Right," she seemed to have calmed down for a moment, finally lying still underneath the covers.

"What about those handcuffs?"

"What handcuffs?"

"Those I found in the kitchen. Next to the gun. Are those for me? Do you intend to tie me up on the bed like you said? Are you planning on punishing me for being mean?" He almost groaned out loud with frustration, feeling like banging his head against a damned wall.

*Goddess, give me strength.*

"You do deserve some spanking, if I were to be completely honest," he absently said with resignation, hearing her let out a small gasp.

"Ooh...Please don't...I promise I'll be good...My ass is too small for that and your hands are too big...I promise I'll be good I will even find my magic like you told me to..." she weakly pleaded and he closed his eyes for a moment, drawing in a calming breath.

"Have you practiced today like I told you to?" He calmly said, ignoring the rest of those chaotic sentences that have just flown past her lips.

"No...But please don't spank me...I'm sorry...I didn't mean to...Please forgive me,"

Goddess, she sounded exactly like a child.

"I wont," he flatly said, listening to her let out a tiny, squeaky sound.

"Promise?"

"I promise,"

His brows furrowed as he watched her turn around in his hold, those beautiful eyes still droopy and unseeing as she raised her chin and peered up at him.

"Can I kiss you now?"

He could only blink a few times in response, entirely lost for words as he stared upon her beautiful face.

"You need a good night kiss, because you're my husband and you're so nice to me," she said with a cute and way too sweet smile, his insides melting at the mere sight of it.

Why did she had to be so damn bewitching? It wasn't fair. It wasn't fair for his heart, his mind and even his poor balls.

She was going to destroy him. She was going to destroy him and that without even trying.

He found himself letting out a small, almost imperceptible nod. But she did see it. She may have been drunk but she certainly didn't miss it. Because within the very next moment her hand wrapped around the back of his neck and before he could even realize what was happening her lips were already touching his, delicately pressing against them into a soft and sweet kiss.

"Goodnight!"

"Good...night..."
