Thora poured Casey a cup of coffee. "Here, have some coffee first. Then spill everything. I want all the details."

Casey sighed but didn't say anything more. He recounted how his crew had snatched Christina and Harper and brought them to the abandoned factory, leaving out no details.

Thora listened with a satisfied smile and let out a cold laugh. "Serves them right. This is their karma!"

Gritting her teeth, Thora said, "I won't be happy until they get what they deserve!"

Thinking about how only Christina and Harper had been taken while William remained safe, Thora felt a bit displeased.

"If only we could've grabbed William too. I'd lock him up and make him mine alone!"

Seeing the almost crazed look on Thora's face, Casey sighed. "Some things are better left alone. What I did today was just to teach them a lesson."

"If we really hurt someone, the fallout would be worse than you can imagine."

Thora pouted. "Fine, I get it."

Though she said that, Thora didn't really agree. Casey had gone through all this trouble to capture them, and if it was just to teach them a lesson, it wouldn't be worth it. She wasn't satisfied with just a small punishment.

They fell silent until Thora finally spoke up. "Will William find out soon?"

"No," Casey shook his head. "Don't worry. I know the Cavendish family is capable, but the people I hired are pros. Even if they find out, it won't be until a week later."

As far as he knew, a week later was the opening ceremony of William's charity foundation. By then, the scandal of William abandoning his wife and daughter would make his children's foundation a joke. The Cavendish Corporation's stock would plummet, and partnerships would be canceled. Those were minor issues. The real concern was whether the Cavendish Corporation could even survive.

Thora was clearly dissatisfied with this outcome but reluctantly nodded. "One week is enough for us to do a lot."

Casey shook his head, warning her, "Thora, I know you're not satisfied, but don't interfere. I have my own plans, and I won't let your past grievances go unpunished."

"Alright, I know," Thora nodded dismissively. "I trust you to handle things well."

Casey shook his head, thinking over his plans to ensure there were no mistakes, then refocused.

Meanwhile, Christina watched Harper, who was trying to appear calm despite her fear. Christina felt a mix of urgency, fear, and heartache. If it weren't for this incident, Harper wouldn't be in such danger. Thankfully, they had woken up in time. If they could find a way to escape, Harper would be safe.

They both stayed silent, waiting for the right moment. Soon, the man who had taken them woke up. He glanced at Christina and Harper, who pretended to be asleep, and frowned.

"The dosage wasn't high. They should be awake by now."

The man walked over and kicked Christina's leg. She remained still, pretending to be asleep. He kicked harder, causing her pain. Realizing she couldn't keep pretending, Christina frowned and struggled to open her eyes, acting as if she had just woken up.

"You're awake?" The man raised an eyebrow, looking at Christina with a hint of greed. Remembering Casey's orders, he calmed down. He couldn't afford any mistakes.

"Who are you?" Christina asked warily, protecting Harper. "Why did you take us? Who sent you?"

The man smirked, raising an eyebrow. "Why did I take you? Because you pissed off the wrong person."

He snorted, lowering his voice. "As for who sent me, you don't need to know. It's not necessary."

He sat lazily in a chair, watching Christina. "Don't worry, you won't be harmed. Someone wants you to stay here for a while. When the time comes, you'll go back to where you belong."

Go back to where they belong? What did that mean? Christina frowned, her mind racing.

"So, someone wants us to disappear for a few days, right?"

The man was surprised by Christina's quick thinking but didn't confirm or deny it. "No comment."

After that, no matter what Christina asked, the man remained silent. Eventually, Christina gave up, realizing he wouldn't talk. She felt a temporary sense of relief. At least for now, it seemed they wouldn't be harmed. As long as Harper was safe, everything else could be dealt with.

Christina prayed silently. "William, you better come quickly. You said you cared about Harper and me. Don't make us wait too long."

Meanwhile, William's team had used every possible method but still couldn't find Christina and Harper.

"Sorry, Mr. Cavendish, we've done our best," the bodyguard said apologetically. "We checked all the surveillance footage, but an hour ago, there was a ten-minute gap in all the cameras in the city center."

"We tried everything to recover the footage, but it was no use."

They had also checked all the vehicles entering and leaving the city, but due to the city's size, there were too many to go through. It would take another five hours to identify any suspicious vehicles.

Hearing it would take five hours to get any information, William's face darkened.
