With Casey's assurance, Jennifer stayed quiet for the next few days.

She patiently waited in the villa Casey had arranged for her, anticipating the day he would fulfill his promise.

Meanwhile, William grew increasingly anxious. The worry of not finding Christina and Harper had taken a toll on him, making him look gaunt and exhausted.

Online rumors were spiraling out of control, with all sorts of speculations flying around.

"I don't think Christina and Harper just ran away. What if something bad happened to them? I've read about cases where wives and daughters were mistreated."

"Don't talk nonsense! Mr. Cavendish treats his wife so well. There must be some misunderstanding!"

"In a few days, the charity foundation is supposed to be officially launched. If Christina doesn't come back with the child, this whole thing will be a joke!"

William had no time to deal with the online chatter. His priority was to find Christina and Harper as soon as possible.

Three days had passed, and there was still no news about them. Not even a single useful clue!

The private detective he hired, along with the police, had found nothing.

The entire company was under a cloud of tension, and no one dared to provoke William.

"Mr. Cavendish, you should eat something," Bob said, mustering up the courage to place a takeout box in front of William.

"Your health is important. If you find Mrs. Cavendish and Miss Cavendish but you're in bad shape, they'll be heartbroken."

William glanced at him, and Bob immediately looked down, not daring to meet his eyes.

Surprisingly, William wasn't angry. He opened the food container and nodded in agreement.

"You're right. If they see me like this, Christina and Harper will be worried."

Well, maybe not Christina, but Harper definitely would.

Bob was stunned, hardly believing his eyes. William actually listened to him?

Just then, the phone rang. It was Timothy King, the private detective.

William answered immediately, his voice urgent. "Do you have news about Christina and Harper?"

Timothy's voice was filled with excitement. "Mr. Cavendish, we've found them! I'll be there right away!"

William sat up straight, his exhaustion momentarily forgotten.

When Timothy arrived, William rushed to meet him, his usual composed demeanor gone.

"Mr. Cavendish, we've located Mrs. Cavendish and Miss Cavendish near a village far from the city outskirts. They're in an old, abandoned factory."

Hearing this, William wasted no time arranging for Christina and Harper to be brought back. But then he hesitated and decided, "No, I'll go get them myself!"

He couldn't rest until he saw Christina and Harper safe with his own eyes.

As he took a few steps forward, William stumbled, his vision darkening. He nearly fell.

"Mr. Cavendish!" Bob exclaimed, quickly supporting him.

"Mr. Cavendish, you should go to the hospital. You haven't slept or had much to drink these past few days. Your body can't take this."

William shook his head, determined to leave.

"Harper is so timid, and Christina loves cleanliness. That place is filthy. They might be hurt..."

His words were becoming incoherent, but he insisted on going to the factory himself.

No one could stop him, so they let William get into the car and head towards the outskirts.

The car ride was bumpy, but William didn't close his eyes, staring straight ahead, willing the car to go faster.

Everyone felt a pang of sympathy for him.

They had all seen how William hadn't slept or rested these past days. Christina and Harper were his everything. It was a miracle they were safe.

"Mr. Cavendish, don't worry. From what I know, Mrs. Cavendish and Miss Cavendish were given food and water daily. They weren't starved," Timothy reassured him.

William clenched his fists. Whoever took them had treated them well. This didn't seem like a kidnapping but something deliberate.

"Have you found out who took them?" William asked, frowning.

Timothy hesitated. "Mr. Cavendish, it's complicated. I'm still investigating. Please be patient for a few more days."

"Alright."

Finding Christina and Harper was a blessing. As for the rest, William's eyes darkened with resolve.

He would uncover everything, and those who dared to harm his loved ones would pay.

When they reached the factory, William quickly got out of the car and rushed to the second floor.

Hearing the car and footsteps, Christina instinctively hugged Harper tightly.
