Darkness Chapter 15: Intel

"Was that so difficult?" I inquire, raising an eyebrow.

Nelly shoots me a withering look. "Yes, because now I've just endangered 500 people."

"Well, let's try to find a solution that works for everyone," I suggest diplomatically.

Tara gasps dramatically, "You'd do that?"

"We're all just tired of this endless conflict," I confess wearily.

Alec chimes in, "Yeah, we just want to get back to our normal lives."

"Let's call it a night," I propose.

Tara hesitates, letting out a long, drawn-out sigh. "Uhhh..."

Alec playfully nudges her, saying, "Come on, pet."

Brandon interjects, "Tara?"

"It's... It's fine. Love you, Brandon," Tara responds as Alec leads her into his room.

The soldier boy stands there, staring at us. "Nel, I'm sorry. This is all on me. I love you. I should have come clean sooner."

Nelly shakes her head, "Brandon, you don't love me. You love the idea of what we could be." She embraces him, and I can't help but let out a little growl. She shoots me a glare, "Oh, settle down." It's becoming increasingly difficult to keep my cool around her.

Brandon bids Nelly goodnight, to which she replies, "Night, Brandon." I guide her to my room, fully intending to make a move. "I told you I'm not..."

I approach her, closing the gap between us. I can feel her warmth, and I can't resist the urge to taste those lips once more. Her hands rest on my chest as she looks down. "Look up at me."

She slowly raises her gaze to meet mine, uncertainty written all over her face. But her eyes betray her desire, even though she's conflicted. Well, well, my little pet, it seems we're both in the same boat. My hands wander under her dress, only to be met with a surprise. "You mean to tell me you haven't been wearing any underwear this whole time!"

Nelly smirks, "It didn't go with my outfit."

I raise an eyebrow at her, "Are you even wearing anything under that dress?"

Nelly playfully responds, "You'll find out soon enough."

She enjoys teasing. Well, well, well, looks like someone is feeling confident and I like it. I pull her in closer. She eagerly lets me in, our tongues engaging in a fierce battle. She's definitely a fiery one.

I lift her, and she wraps her legs around me. I carry her over to the bed and gently drop her down. She bounces a bit, clearly excited. As she leans back against the headboard, I start to remove my coat. She just sits there, staring at me, biting her lip. "Stand up and undress me," I command, with a hint of sarcasm.

She slowly rises and saunters over to me, focusing on the buttons of my shirt. Once she's done, she runs her hands up my chest and under my shirt, sliding it off my arms and letting it fall to the floor. "Pants next," I order, with a smirk.

She begins to undo my belt when there's a knock at the door. "Hold on!" I yell before turning to Nelly and saying, "You keep going."

Alec interrupts, "Boss, I'm sorry, but we have a problem."

"Don't move." I open the door to find Alex looking just as frustrated as me. "What is it?"

"Peter is downstairs," Alec informs me.

I glance back at Nelly, who is now curled up on my bed. "Have Tara stay with her. I don't trust him."

Alec agrees, "Yeah, same here."

As we make our way past Alec's room, he goes in and sends Tara to stay with Nelly. When we reach downstairs, Peter is there with three of his men and Vicky for some reason. When she turns to face me, I already know what this is about. "Is there a reason I'm being pulled from my beauty sleep?"

Peter sneers, “Yeah, I want the girl. You lied. She's a member of the Resistance.”

“I'm sorry I can't do that.” I can’t and most certainly won’t. 

Vicky spits, “She's Nelly Gordon, the daughter of the scientists who experimented on you. Why would you want her?”

“Exactly for that reason, to make her pay for what they did to me.” Initially, I had planned to torture her, and then I saw her picture and wanted her as my pet. Now I might want her as more than that and that thought fucking terrifies me.

Peter leers, “She needs to die. But not before we've had a little fun with her.”

I get up in Peter’s face. “Are you telling me...me your leader what I'm to do with MY prisoner?”

Vicky smirks, “She's gonna use you and she'll try to kill you just like she did Victor.”

Peter asks, “She's the one who killed Vic?”

Vicky smiles, “I'll bring her down.”

“You'll do no such thing. Vicky, you move up those stairs and you'll deal with me,” I growl.

Peter scoffs, “You are gonna go against your own kind and protect her.”

Nelly says, “I don't need protecting. You want me Vicky, you can have me but if I win you leave Vincent alone!”

Peter scoffs, “Letting your pet fight your battles, how pathetic.”
