**Nelly**
I awaken to find myself confined in a room. Panic sets in as I shout, "Peter, release me!" I anxiously wait on the cot, feeling like an eternity has passed before I hear the door click open. Peter enters with a smirk, maintaining his distance. I glare at him, demanding answers, "Why have you abducted me?"
Peter smirks. “Easy. Vincent owes me. You were his, now I'm going to make you mine.”
“Uh...l don't think so!”
“I don't care if you stay down here forever, but you will give me what I want!” he yells.
“Delusional like so many others,” I roll my eyes.
“You won't be saying that when you need blood, and by the looks of it, there's nothing in here that you can feed on,” he says smugly.
“I won't be here that long. Vincent will come for me.”
Peter grins, “I'm banking on it. When he does, I'll kill him, but not before I take that baby from you right in front of him.”
“You killed Tara, didn't you?” We had suspected it, but I want proof.
“Why do you care? But yes. I also killed his first wife, Bianca. So adding you will be easy,” he said.
“Why?”
Peter gestures around dramatically. "Isn't it obvious? She left me for him. They always choose him. Women, the other hordes, the wolves. What does he possess that I lack?"
Oh, boo hoo, I mean, come on. I guess even vampires can experience envy. "Seriously, you want me to compare the two of you? Vincent has the physique of a god, while you, not so much. Additionally, he is a skilled lover. It seems like you have to compensate for something." Yes, I know I am provoking him. It's entertaining. Perhaps it will cause him to make a mistake. "In terms of everything else, he listens to others. He attempts to solve problems, not just with temporary fixes. He genuinely cares and has a compassionate heart. You, on the other hand, are consumed by revenge and vengeance. You are heartless and cold. Who would want to follow that?"
He storms towards me, grabbing my wrists and pinning me against the wall. "You will behave while you are here, or you can say goodbye to your child because I will cut it from your womb."
"Don't you dare threaten my child!" I kicked him in the groin, causing him to double over in pain. As he falls to the floor, I kick him in the stomach and make a run for the door. Dodging through the maze of hallways, I finally reach the exit and sprint outside. Desperately searching for a phone, I follow a road in the hopes of finding help. Eventually, I came across a house. When the door opens, I plead to use their phone. I dial Vincent's number. Please, pick up.
“Hello?” he asks.
“Baby?”
"Oh my fucking god, Nelly. Where are you?" he inquires urgently.
"I have no idea. I stumbled upon a home along the road," I respond.
I ask the residents of the home for our location and quickly relay the information to Vincent. "Quinn's wolves are in that area. You should be able to hear them howling," he says, and I confirmed.
"I will make my way there as fast as I can. I was so worried I had lost you," he says before ending the call. I express my gratitude to the couple and follow the sound of the wolves. Before I know it, I am surrounded by the majestic creatures. One of them transforms back into a human, revealing himself as Quinn's beta, Beau.
After about an hour, we begin our journey back to the chateau when I hear my name being called.
"Nelly!" Vincent screams, and I respond by calling his name back. He picks me up, and I instinctively wrap my legs around him, holding on tightly, afraid that I might wake up back in the cell. "Did he harm you, my love?" Vincent asks with concern.
"No, but I made sure he won't be using his manhood anytime soon," I reply with a hint of satisfaction, hoping that I had inflicted some lasting damage.
“He's lucky that's all that happened. I'm so sorry. Please forgive me. I promise to work on my directness,” Vincent pleads.
I kiss him. “Yes, my love.” I wonder if I could ever stay mad at him.
“Let's get you home. Then I'm going to find Peter and kill him,” he says.
“I'm going with you. You need me to find the place.”
Quinn nods, “She's right, man.”
“No!” Vincent yells.
“What happened to you not dictating what I will and will not do?”
Quinn winks at me. “Keep it up, dumbass! Your wife might agree sooner to be my vampy mistress.”
