**Nelly**

We are all hanging on Quinn's every word, disbelief written on our faces. "There is absolutely no way in this world that I could be pregnant," I declare, my voice filled with a mix of confusion and denial. As a newcomer to the world of vampires, I am certain that such a thing is impossible.

I turn to Vincent, hoping for some reassurance, only to find him just as stunned as I am. "It's not possible. We..." I begin, my words trailing off as Quinn interrupts with a sharp question.

"Are you questioning my keen sense of smell?" Quinn challenges, his tone daring us to doubt him.

I hesitate, unsure of how to respond. "Quinn, we simply can't..." I try to argue, but Quinn cuts me off with a dismissive shake of his head.

"You are indeed doubting me," Quinn asserts confidently. "You are speaking to someone whose sense of smell is a hundred times more acute than any human's."

Frustrated, I turn to Vincent for support, only to find him grinning mischievously. "Vincent, you're starting to worry me," I admit, my voice tinged with concern. The situation is becoming more bizarre by the minute, and I can't shake the feeling that something truly extraordinary is about to unfold.

Quinn laughs. “I think we broke him. I didn't think that was possible.”

“No, you broke him with your stupid scent bullshit.” I'm so busy arguing with Quinn that I don't hear Vincent come up behind me. He wraps his arms around me, pulling my back against his body as he runs his hand over my stomach.

"You...." I feel a sudden wetness on my head. I turn in his arms and gaze up at him, only to see tears streaming down his face.

"What's wrong?" I ask, gently wiping away his tears as he looks down at me with a mixture of joy and fear.

"We are going to have a baby," he whispers, his voice filled with emotion.

"Are you happy?" I inquire, feeling a rush of excitement and trepidation.

"Yes. I just never imagined I would become a father," he admits, his voice cracking with emotion.

"We must keep this a secret. If the wrong people discover our secret, we could be in danger," I caution, my heart racing with fear.

"You won't be alone. I will protect you," he vows, his eyes filled with determination.

"Vincent, I can't..." I begin, but he silences me by placing a finger on my lips.

"Nelly, you are the first vampire in centuries to carry a child," he reveals, his voice filled with awe.

"Perhaps I was already pregnant before you turned me," I suggest, my mind racing with possibilities.

He shakes his head solemnly. "If that were the case, you would have lost the baby. The transformation is too taxing on the body," he explains, his voice filled with concern.

Quinn nods solemnly, his eyes filled with concern. "Yes, he's right. This occurred while you were in this form."

"How is that even possible?" I ask, my voice tinged with disbelief.

Vincent leans in, his expression grave. "It could have been one of the tests. Something changed within me, and as Quinn suspects, perhaps your parents did something to you as well. That wolf attack didn't alter you," he explains.

Quinn nods in agreement. "Show me."

I raise an eyebrow. "You just want to see me nude?"

Vincent chuckles softly. "That's a bonus. But no, it's possible that the wolf that attacked you infected you. Let me take a look, please."

I roll my eyes before lifting my shirt to reveal the scar that remained after my transformation. Quinn runs his finger along it, his brow furrowed. "There's nothing extraordinary about it, so it's likely your parents gave you something. We must monitor your pregnancy."

I nod, my mind racing with questions about my parents' actions and the nature of wolves. "How can you detect it at such an early stage?"

Quinn grins mysteriously. "It's a gift. You're onto something. Keep this information hidden for as long as possible. We must establish a peace treaty soon. Otherwise, they may suspect that we're breeding vampires or hybrids."

Vincent looks concerned. “I'm not worried about the rebels. It's other vampires I'm worried about. They will want her to try and breed with her.”

“You could be in the same danger, Vincent. I may carry the child but you are a damn donor.”

“But..” He tries to argue.

I interject, “Oh no. If I don't go anywhere, neither do you!”

Quinn winks, “Hey, you could always stay with me, doll. I could use another female.”

“Fuck you, Quinn!”

Quinn smirks, “That's what I want, hun. So are you offering?” Vincent is about ready to fly at him when I catch him. Quinn sits at his desk laughing. “So now we are gonna have little baby vamps running around. My pups need someone to play with. Good. We can be one hugely dysfunctional family.”

“Yeah, more like a bite. I've seen your so-called pups. They're vicious. Not putting my child in the middle of that,” Vincent says.

Quinn chuckles, “Hey, your kid will bite too. Yours will just drink my pup's blood. What would happen if we had a kid....? Ooohhh. Werevamp or a vamp wolf....ooohhh. No wolfpire.”

“Shut up!”

“Yeah, what she said! Your pack will keep quiet about this, too.”

Quinn nods, “Yeah, man. Of course, they won't say anything.”

Vincent puts his arm over my shoulder. “Let's get you home.”

“Thank you, Quinn.”

Quinn smiles, “Take care, Nelly. If you wanna visit us in a month, I can have one of my elders check you if you want to keep this quiet.”
