The Abandoned Luna's Journey to Power Chapter 349: The Strength of Blaze Pack
Prince Adam's POV:
Inside an abandoned wooden cabin outside the monastery, the cold wind whistled through the cracks in the boards and poured into the room.
Chase stood guard more than 30 feet away from the door, making sure no one could come close.
I looked at Cindy, her face drawn and serious, and my chest tightened.
"Tell me what happened. Why would Uncle Niall suddenly use a Bond-Breaking Order on Lady Sephiria? Has he lost his mind?" I asked in a low voice.
The Bond-Breaking Order was created by the royal blood. It allowed the one who used it to avoid the pain of the broken bond while forcing the other party to suffer twice the agony.
I had personally watched Cindy use it before. Even a powerful Alpha like James could barely endure the pain. His wolf spirit had remained weak for a long time afterward.
Yet Uncle Niall had used it on a defenseless Omega. The thought alone was horrifying.
Cindy took a deep breath and began explaining everything she had learned from Katie. She told me how Uncle Niall had accused Lady Sephiria of being jealous and of harming his mistress, Leanna, which had caused her to miscarry. Using those accusations, he had forced a divorce and severed their bond.
"He's ridiculous!"
I slammed my fist onto the dusty wooden table beside me. The table groaned under the impact and nearly collapsed.
"Everyone among the older generation in the Royal Court knows Lady Sephiria's character. She can't even bear to step on an ant. How could she possibly harm Leanna?" I scoffed. Fenrir inside me gave a mocking look as well. "Jealous? That's the most absurd excuse I've ever heard. Just to make room for that mistress, he's willing to throw such filthy accusations at her?"
"Adam, don't you think something about this feels strange?" Cindy looked up. Her silver-gray eyes shone with calm intelligence.
"Of course." I let out a cold snort as I quickly sorted through the information in my mind. "With Uncle Niall's status, he could do whatever he wanted with Leanna and no one would dare interfere. Yet he risked public criticism and even used the extreme method of a Bond-Breaking Order to end the bond. That means he urgently needed the identity of a single man."
Cindy nodded, then dropped an even bigger bombshell.
"And there is something else you don't know, Adam. After dealing with Sephiria's situation, Prince Niall once tried to go to Silverpeak Pack to ask for my hand."
My whole body stiffened, and my eyes narrowed instantly. A strong killing intent burst out of me before I could control it.
"That old bastard... How dare he think about going after you?" I growled through clenched teeth.
"He never got the chance." Cindy gently held my hand to calm me. "King Ryken had given me three months to decide, and I chose you. When Prince Niall realized there was no opportunity left, he immediately changed his target. Right now, he has taken a large fortune to the southern Blaze Pack to propose to Viola."
"Viola?"
This time, I was completely stunned.
If Uncle Niall had proposed to Cindy, it could barely be explained as my father's earlier intention or a test.
But turning around and proposing to Viola was a completely different matter.
I leaned back against the wooden wall as my mind raced.
"Blaze Pack..." I muttered, my brows knitting tighter and tighter. "They may not hold a noble title in the Royal Court, but they're practically the rulers of the south. They were involved in the major merchant guilds, mercenary groups, and the southern sea trade routes. Their wealth and influence are astonishing."
Suddenly, I looked up at Cindy. At the same moment, the same realization flashed in both of our eyes.
"This is far more than a simple marriage alliance," I said slowly, my voice filled with chilling coldness. "Leanna's family, Scarlet Pack, controls the eastern mines and part of the military forces. Blaze Pack holds the immense wealth of the south. If Uncle Niall manages to get both of these forces... What exactly is he planning?"
