Prince Adam's POV:

Why would a fringe prince—someone long known for his bad reputation and love of pleasure—suddenly begin gathering wealth so aggressively and forming alliances with packs outside his territory?

"He's seeking greater hidden benefits." Cindy's eyes were as cold as ice. "He might even be planning something that could shake the Royal Court itself."

"This matter is extremely serious." I tightened my grip on Cindy's hand, my expression more solemn than ever before. "Uncle Niall is still my uncle and a core member of the royal family. Without solid proof, no one would dare move against him. I'll keep an eye on this quietly. I'll activate the old intelligence network that remained loyal to me from my days in the military. They can investigate what his territory and Scarlet Pack have been doing recently."

"But that's too dangerous, Adam." Cindy held my hand tightly, worry filling her eyes. "Your identities are sensitive. If he discovers you are investigating him, and he becomes desperate—"

"Cindy," I said with a small smile as I gently smoothed her furrowed brows.

"Did you forget who I am? I may be King Ryken's eldest son, but before that, I was a soldier. I once served as the grand marshal of Southreach."

I straightened my back and stared at the snowy landscape outside. My voice was calm, but every word carried weight. "If Uncle Niall is truly plotting something shady behind the scenes, if he really plans to commit treason against the kingdom, then once he makes his move, the first to suffer will be the soldiers on the front lines. Even the unarmed citizens of this kingdom will not be spared.

"As a prince, I've lived on the support of the people. I cannot simply watch a venomous seed grow near the heart of the kingdom. Even if the path ahead is dangerous, I must uncover the truth."

Cindy looked at me. The worry in her eyes slowly turned into deep understanding and respect.

I knew it. She wasn't like the usual noble ladies. She was a warrior as well. She could understand me.

"Got it." Cindy sighed softly and stepped forward, gently wrapping her arms around my waist. "This is who you are—an Alpha warrior who always places duty and honor above everything else. I won't stop you from digging into it, but you must promise me something. Be careful. Prince Niall is a venomous snake, and he hides very well."

"Don't worry. I just got married. I'm not about to die." I lowered my head and pressed a kiss to her forehead, lingering for a moment to savor her warmth.

"Lady Sephiria is too ill. The conditions at the monastery are poor, and Leanna's spies are all around outside. With her current health, forcing her into a carriage back to the Royal Court would likely kill her halfway there." I gave Cindy my instructions. "Stay here with her for a few days. Before the full-moon banquet of the Moon Goddess Festival, I'll bring a team of elite royal guards and personally drive the carriage with the steadiest wolves to bring you home. Even if Uncle Niall himself tries to block the way, he will not be able to stop us."

"Alright."

Half an hour later, Chase and I braved the wind and snow, racing from Coldmoon Monastery toward the Royal Court.

Cindy's POV:

After seeing Adam off, I returned to the small courtyard where Sephiria was staying.

As soon as I stepped through the door, I saw Carla walking out with a glass that was already more than half empty.

"Your Highness, Lady Sephiria just finished most of the medication!" Carla said excitedly, her face bright with joy. "Ever since Prince Adam arrived, Lady Sephiria's spirits have clearly improved. This is the first time in two weeks!"

A small sense of relief settled in my heart. I removed my cloak, which was still covered in snowflakes, and quickly walked into the inner room.

Sephiria was leaning against the headboard. Her face was still pale, but there was finally a faint light in her eyes.

When she saw me approaching, a weak yet gentle smile slowly appeared on her lips.
