The Abandoned Luna's Journey to Power Chapter 360: I Am Viola
Cindy's POV:
I looked at Lucien. Even though it felt cruel, I knew I had to throw this bloody truth right in their faces.
"She's dead."
I spoke slowly, each word clear and heavy, as if every syllable were a block of frozen iron. "Sephiria passed away two nights ago, at midnight, in that pathetic place. She closed her eyes forever. And when she died, not one of you three she carried for ten months was by her side."
"Mother!!!"
Lucien let out a desperate, heart-wrenching scream. It sounded like his soul had been ripped from his body. His legs gave out, and he collapsed to his knees, grabbing fistfuls of his own hair. Then he slammed his forehead against the floor again and again, each impact making a dull, painful thud.
"No... No way... Mother..."
Prince Niall finally snapped out of his shock.
He glanced at his son crying on the floor, then looked at Adam and me. A flash of vicious calculation crossed his eyes, but it disappeared quickly, replaced by a mask of fake sorrow.
"Sigh..." Prince Niall let out a heavy sigh. He even lifted his sleeve and pretended to wipe tears that did not exist. "How could this happen? Sephiria was jealous and made mistakes, but I always believed that as long as she prayed sincerely in the monastery, one day she would come to her senses. I never thought she would—sigh. This must be the will of the Moon Goddess. She insisted on going to the monastery to serve the goddess. I simply couldn't stop her."
"Bullshit!"
The furious shout exploded like thunder.
Viola, who had been standing behind me all this time, could no longer tolerate the old bastard's hypocritical performance.
She yanked the barbed whip from her waist and cracked it hard against the floor. The sharp sound echoed through the hall as the solid marble beneath it split open with a jagged crack.
"Serve the Moon Goddess? No one would willingly leave the home they lived in for decades when they're gravely ill, just to go die alone in that pathetic place!"
Viola's red hair seemed to flare on its own, and she looked like an enraged lioness. She pointed at Prince Niall's face and cursed without restraint, "You and that shameless woman were the ones who forced her there! You old bastard, Prince Niall! You used a Bond-Breaking Order on your weak Omega ex-wife just to make room for that bitch! That thing destroys a person's soul. It's torture! You were the one who pushed her to her death with your own hands!"
When the words "Bond-Breaking Order" were spoken, Leanna's face turned even paler.
Prince Niall's eyes flickered as well, but he immediately denied it. He even straightened up and put on the air of a dignified elder. "What nonsense are you spewing? Who do you think you are to slander me like this? When have I ever used a Bond-Breaking Order on Sephiria? This is an outrageous accusation against a prince!"
"Slander?" Viola sneered. The contempt in her eyes was almost overflowing. "Of course, the dead can't testify for themselves. You blocked all the news, and the maids who know the truth are too afraid to speak. But do you dare to swear to the Moon Goddess that you never did it?"
"How dare you!"
Leanna, who had been hiding behind Prince Niall the whole time, finally lost her patience.
With Prince Niall backing her, she pointed at Viola and shrieked, "How dare a wild girl with no background like you talk like this in front of a prince! This is our family's private matter. What right does an outsider like you have to interfere? What are you trying to do?"
"Who am I?"
When Viola heard that, she suddenly threw her head back and burst into laughter. Her laughter was filled with sharp mockery and blazing anger.
She strode forward and ripped off the black cloak she had been wearing for warmth. Beneath it was a crimson suit of armor that marked her as a knight of the Blaze Pack.
"Open your damn eyes and look carefully! I'm Viola Silva from the Blaze Pack!"
Her bright eyes locked onto Prince Niall. Each word she spoke landed like a loud slap across the old man's face.
"Prince Niall! Didn't you bring a mountain of gold to the Blaze Pack to propose to me? And now you don't recognize the woman you wanted to marry?"
