Mabel's pov

I sat down on the cozy couch next to the fireplace, a cup of coffee in hand. Adam sat down next to me, and we started chatting. I took a deep breath and said, "My childhood wasn't rosy." Adam looked at me with a mix of curiosity and concern. "What do you mean?" he asked.

I hesitated for a moment, gathering my thoughts. "It's just... I was always the second-best child. My younger sister was the favorite, and she always got more attention than me. No matter what I did, it was never enough. I never felt like I could measure up." I could feel the weight of my words, the heaviness of the memories I was sharing.

I could feel Adam's eyes on me, his expression filled with empathy. He reached out and put a hand on my shoulder. "That must have been so hard for you," he said. "Did you ever talk to your parents about how you felt?" I shook my head. "I was too afraid. I didn't want to cause any trouble." Adam nodded, understanding. "That must have been really isolating for you."

I took a sip of my coffee and continued, "I always felt like I was on the outside, looking in. Like I didn't really belong. And it wasn't just my parents. It was like everyone saw me as less than my sister, like I was somehow less deserving of love and attention." I paused, the words catching in my throat. I could feel the emotion welling up inside of me.

Adam was silent for a moment, and then he said, "That's so sad. Nobody should have to feel like that, especially not a child. You deserved better than that." I nodded, feeling a weight lift off my chest. It felt good to finally share these thoughts with someone. "Thank you," I said.

"For what" He asked

"For taking me with you that night" I replied

"I've never really talked about this with anyone before." Adam smiled. "Of course. You can talk to me about anything, anytime. I'm always here for you and I want to stay in your life forever"

I looked at Adam sitting in front of me. I was overcome with gratitude, my heart swelling with love. I thought about all the times they had been there for me, supporting me, comforting me, caring for me. I thought about all the sacrifices he had made for me, and I felt a sense of awe and wonder. I felt so lucky to have him in my life, to have their love and support. I didn't know how I could ever repay him, but I knew that I would spend the rest of my life trying

I realized that the best way to show my appreciation was to just be there for him and support him, in the same way he had supported me. To give him the same love and care he had given me. I wanted to show him how much he meant to me, how much I valued him. I wanted to make sure he knew that I was always there for him, no matter what. I knew that I could never repay him, but I could show him my love and gratitude every day.

Adams's eyes was filled with love and compassion. he reached out and gently touched my cheek, his hand soft and warm. I closed my eyes, enjoying the feeling of his touch. And then he began to speak, his voice low and soothing. he told me about his childhood, about the good times and the bad. I listened intently, hanging on every word. I was captivated by his story, by the memories.

He sat down next to me, and I felt the warmth of his presence. He took a deep breath and began to speak, his voice soft and low. "When I was a child, my mother always said, 'Learn as much as you can, for knowledge is power.' I took her words to heart, and I spent my childhood reading books and exploring the world around me. I became curious about everything, and my thirst for knowledge only grew as I got older." He paused, and I could see the memories playing out in his mind.

As I grew older, my father began to teach me about responsibility and duty. He would tell me, 'A man must take care of his family and his community. He must be strong, and he must be a leader.' I absorbed his words, and they became a part of me. I felt the weight of this responsibility, and it pushed me to become the best version of myself." I sat there, enthralled by his story. I felt like I was there with him, witnessing his childhood.

I could see the young version of him, his eyes bright with curiosity and his mind eager to learn. I could see the older version of him, his face serious and his eyes full of wisdom. I could see the impact of his parents' words on him, how they had shaped him into the person he was today. And then, he looked at me and said, "And now, here I am, with you, sharing my story"

I smiled at him, feeling a rush of affection "And now, I want to share my knowledge and my experiences with you. I want to help you become the best version of yourself, just as my parents helped me. I want to teach you everything I know, and I want to see you grow and flourish." He said and I felt overwhelmed by his words, by his generosity and kindness. I didn't know what to say, but I knew that I would never forget this moment.

As he finished speaking, I felt a moment of stillness. I felt as if the entire world had paused, and it was just the two of us. And then, I felt a rush of emotion, of gratitude and love. I reached out and took his hand, and he looked at me, his eyes full of understanding. I knew that we would always be connected, that we would always be there for each other. And I knew that I would never forget this moment, this feeling of peace and joy.
