The Lunar Queen Chapter 111

Lyric POV

I sit in his arms for a moment before Cole walks back into the office.

“Are we good now guys?” he asks stepping inside and closing the door.

The amusement in his voice tells me he already knows the answer.

“Yes, I asked him to mark me” I say.

He raises a brow.

“And?” he asks.

“I told her I would if that is what you both wanted” Kairo says.

“I get why she wants the bond to be completed before we leave so yeah, Zeus is already pushing to complete the bond” Cole says.

The fact that neither of them hesitated settles something restless inside me.

A knock on the door stops me mid sentence.

“Alpha the council would like a meeting” Javier says walking in.

I bounce in Kairo’s lap in excitement.

“Yes let’s go meet with your council. Oh and Javier gather the pack and send a message to the packs in the kingdom, let them know we are hosting a celebration, attendance is mandatory” I say.

Kairo just chuckles when Javier looks at me.

“You heard your Queen” he says to him.

The title still catches me off guard every single time.

“Gather the pack now, he’s going to address them right after the council meeting” I say.

I turn in his lap.

“Can we come?” I ask.

He gives me a look.

“You two are my mates of course you’re coming” he says.

Like the idea of us not being beside him never even crossed his mind.

“Okay so I need to go put on Queen clothes” I say moving to get up but Kairo grabs my waist lightly.

“Don’t move yet” he says low in my ear making my entire body go hot.

The huskiness in his voice sends heat straight down my spine and Nova practically melts in my head.

Cole laughs leaning against the wall watching us.

“Oh this is going to be fun” he says smiling.

“What?” I ask.

“How about asking your mate” he says laughing.

“Hey in my defense it’s been a very long time since I’ve been this close to anyone, let alone my mate” Kairo says voice husky as he looks at me with lust in his eyes.

Nova purrs in my head like a cat in heat.

The bond between us feels hotter now that marking has been brought up.

“Yup going to shower and change” I say hopping off him.

Running away suddenly feels like the smartest option.

“Javier how about you show me to my mate’s room and I will get ready for this meeting” I say looping my arm through his and walking out the room with him leaving Cole and Kairo’s laughter behind us.

Javier laughs as we walk out.

“I never thought I would see his face again, but hearing him laugh is something else entirely” he says.

“Yeah I know that couldn’t have been easy” I say.

“I knew when you came into the study earlier” I say softly.

“He’s my best friend and he lost everything in a matter of minutes and I couldn’t help him, so I stepped up” he says.

**The sadness in his voice makes it clear he’s been carrying this kingdom on his back for years.**

“But it’s been hard, I don’t have a mate so it’s just been me doing everything for years” he says.

“Bright side your King is back and he is back with two mates” I say.

“Yeah you’re right about that, I still can’t believe he has two mates” he says.

“You don’t seem surprised one is a man” I say.

He chuckles and shakes his head.

“Kairo and I are old, so he’s dabbled and besides the Moon Goddess doesn’t make mistakes” he says.

**Well that explains why he adapted so quickly.**

“Well this was Fate’s doing, I guess that would be Selene’s sister” I say shrugging.

“What is the council like?, are they all secretly plotting against Kairo, anybody that doesn’t like him?” I ask.

He shakes his head.

“What? No, wait that actually happens?” he asks looking at me.

I burst out laughing.

“Oh you have no idea, but I’ll tell you about it later” I say.

“The entire council was handpicked by Kairo’s grandfather, the first Lycan and Lycan King. They are all Lycans and love Kairo and were all hurt by what happened to him and his family. They grieved them for years, the whole kingdom did” he says.

I smile at that information.

**Maybe this kingdom won’t be nearly as exhausting as the East.**

“Oh yay becoming Queen in the West is going to be so much more smoother than it was becoming Queen in the East” I say rolling my eyes.

“It was that bad?” he asks.

“Yup plotting council, evil cousins, the works, but glad that isn’t the case here” I say as we stop at a room.

“Your bags were already brought up and are in the room” he says as I open the door and step inside.

“Holy shit the room is huge” I say and Nova laughs in my head.

**Of course the Lycan King would have a ridiculous room.**

I grab my suitcase and set it on the couch and open it and grab a pink gown with long sleeves and a deep back. I love a good plunging back or neckline.

I lay my clothes on the bed and walk into the bathroom.

The shower is big enough to fit five people and it has about six shower heads.

**This man’s bathroom is bigger than some apartments.**

It is heaven.

It takes me a while to figure out the shower heads but when I do it’s like showering in a waterfall.

I wash my curls and my body quickly.

Once my hair is fully rinsed I climb out and wrap a towel around my body and towel dry my hair.

I don’t see any hair products in his bathroom so I walk out into the room and my entire body freezes as both my mates are standing in the middle of the room looking at me like I’m their next meal.

My thighs clench together and they both sniff the air and smile wickedly.

**Fuck you Fate and Selene, how are these two gorgeous wolves mine.**

They both take a step towards me and my feet are stuck. Kairo licks his lips before bending close to my ear. "We got an hour"
