Alpha Cameron's Vengeful Mate Chapter 15

I’m in shock at what he just said to me, so much so that I didn’t hear when Alpha Conrad said that they accepted my terms. The conversation with my wolf only made me angrier, and now I really wanted blood. I looked in my mate’s direction and I saw her face pale a little, so I knew the look I had was a murderous one. She's the reason for all this damn discord right now, and I must put an end to this mess within this pack so that I can handle her.  

“Amelia, you should go and put on fighting gear. You will be fighting someone of my choosing, remember, so be ready for anything.” I smirked at her, and she smiled what I guess is supposed to be a seductive smile. I can tell that the thought of taking another mate from Tiyanna makes her feel as though she’s won. The joke will be on her soon enough.  

When she returns, I make a show of looking through the entire pack as if I am looking for someone suitable to fight her. Her smile broadens when I land on an omega with blonde hair. The girl is about 5’4 and very skinny though not malnourished. Omegas usually aren’t very strong, but they can be with the right training. I have elite warriors who were omegas.

“I’ve made my choice,” I say as I smile at the omega who is now trembling with fear. She thinks that I am going to pick her poor thing.  

“Seriously? You're picking an omega for me to fight must mean you really want me by your side.” Amelia says and giggles lightly. I grin on the inside as I’m going to watch her smile fall in a minute. 

“Well, I have to pick someone on your level,” I said and smiled as her smile started to fall a bit. “Besides, I can’t have my new Luna being beaten to a pulp. How would I explain that to my pack? Maybe someone a bit tougher than an omega.” I glide my eyes back over the pack again and my eyes rest on the mate of the beta and I stare at her. I saw Amelia’s face light up again. Okay enough playing around with these people.  

“I’ve found a better opponent. Take your fighting stance, Amelia, and we shall begin.”  

“I’m ready.” She says while bouncing on the heels of her feet. The crowd lines up behind her and I look back at the mate of the beta before I call the name of the fighter to approach the makeshift ring. 

“Tiyanna! Approach the ring. You’re my fighter.” I smirk at Amelia as she hears the name I call. 

Tiyanna looks at me in shock but slowly starts to make her way toward the ring, but turns to stand in front of me instead. I look down at her when she is in front of me and I tilt my head, letting her know that she has permission to say whatever she has on her mind. 

“What are you doing?” She whispers to me. 

“Well, little mate, I figured that I could give you a gift,” I whispered back to her. 

“And what gift would that be Alpha Cameron?” she asks. 

“The greatest gift I can think of to give you. The gift of revenge. Enjoy.” I say, smiling at her, and she smiles back. 

“Thank you.” is all she said before turning to face her opponent. 

Tiyanna’s POV 

The last thing I expected was for Alpha Cameron to basically propose an Alpha challenge. Alpha challenges usually happen when a pack member of the same pack or Alpha of a rival pack, wants to take over position from the current Alpha of the pack. If it is a pack member, then all you have to do is get the current Alpha to submit, but there have been cases where it goes beyond that at times. In the case of a rival Alpha, death is the only way those challenges end. The challenge is different though. Instead of outright challenging Alpha Conrad to take over the pack, he proposed that Amelia fight someone of his choosing with the promise of his taking over the pack if she wins and making her his mate and Luna. Now, to say that I was pissed hearing this is an understatement, but Talon told me that Alpha Cameron said he had a plan and that I should calm down before he left to get the gasoline with some warriors.  

After a bunch of talking, he calls my name and I make my way to the ring, but first I go to ask him what is going on. I couldn’t understand why he had chosen me as his fighter for this challenge. I mean he knows that I will hurt this girl and if he really wants her to be his mate instead of me, then I hope he has a good doctor on staff. Once he told me that he was giving me the gift of revenge, I understood that he wanted me to finish our fight earlier. Well, if he wants a messed-up Luna, I’ll oblige him. 

We both get into our fighting stances and, though hers looks more professional, I’m stronger and more skilled. She is of Alpha blood, but I am of double Alpha blood, which makes me stronger by nature. Fighting isn’t all about strength though, and that’s where I have one up on her. When she attacks, she relies on the help of her wolf strength, which means she won’t last long in a fight, as that takes up a lot of energy. Our wolves are doing the double duty of lending us strength to fight while simultaneously trying to heal us takes a toll and if we’re not careful, that could put our wolves down for a while as they try to rest. That downtime can put us in danger if we are ever attacked. 

“There are rules to this fight.” I heard Alpha Cameron say as he came to stand in the middle of us.
