Alpha Cameron's Vengeful Mate Chapter 53

“You can’t do that!” she yells. “I’ve been your lover and loyal member for years. I was only protecting what was mine.” she said. How delusional can she be? She infuriates me even more. 

“HOW DARE YOU SAY THAT! Do you call beating, torturing, and having fellow women raped protecting what’s yours? And for the record, I never belonged to you. You were just a means to an end, and you knew that from day one. Do not act as though there was ever anything romantic between the two of us. You should be grateful I’m showing you some mercy and not having you raped and killed, but you will endure ever beating and torture that you put them through and when it is over, you will be leaving this pack as a rogue. Don’t think that I’ve forgotten how you’ve disrespected every member of this pack including my mate, mother, and sister. You will endure extra punishment for those crimes as well.” I state before motioning for the guards to tie her to the pole outside and begin her punishment. They already know what is to be done and when it is finished, I’ll renounce her as a pack member. 

“There is one more order of business that I must conduct but you all are dismissed except for Tiyanna.” She turns to look at me with a confused look on her face. Once everyone is gone, I turn to her and grab both of her hands in mine. 

“I know that I’ve made mistakes with you and have done everything I could to push you away. I’ve said there is a reason for it, but I haven’t told you what that reason is, and I don’t know if I’m ready. Then again, I don’t know if I’ll ever be ready to talk about it, but I’m hoping I’ll be able to one day. This is me talking and not the bond. There’s so much that you don’t know about how I became Alpha other than my father dying.” 

“Cameron, I don’t want to pressure you to do anything you’re not ready to do, I definitely have things that I don’t want to talk about yet. I get it but you made me feel like you didn’t want me. Do you know how that feels when you’ve felt that from your pack and former mate then you’re given a second chance to have someone love you and are rejected by that person as well?” she says and her lips tremble a little. I pull her to me and hug her tight. 

“I’m so sorry for hurting you. I can’t promise that I’ll be a good mate to you. I still don’t know if I want to be but believe me when I tell you that I want you in my pack and as the Luna. Maybe we can work on the mate stuff. We’ll go slow and see if we can work together. There’s something we should discuss later, but I would like to ask you something.” 

“Okay, what is it?” she says. 

“Would you like to go on a date with me sometime this week?”  

“A date? With you? This week?” she asks like she can’t believe I asked her out. Honestly, I can’t believe I asked her either. 

“Yes, unless you don’t want to then it is fine. My wolf actually suggested it anyway.” I say nonchalantly and see her face fall a little, but she quickly masks it and stares for a few seconds, and I figure she’s speaking with her wolf. Then she looks up into my eyes and shakes her head with a smile. 

“My answer is yes, Alpha Cameron. I will go on a date with you.” 

Tiyanna’s POV 

We both left the meeting hall, and I could hear Trinity’s screams and smell the blood before we even got close to where she was located. He said there is something else he wants to talk to me about but would rather have that conversation in the privacy of his office. As we turned a corner, I could see a huge crowd formed and they parted as we approached while bowing in respect to us. I’ll have to get used to that but for now I want to see what’s going on up ahead. When we finally reached the head of the crowd, the sight before me was gruesome. Trinity was slumped as much as the chains keeping her in place on the pole would allow her to be, and her body was damn near unrecognizable. 

Trinity was on the ground beaten and bloody, but she looked up at us when we approached. The look she gave me would have made a lesser wolf run and hide but all it made me do was smirk in return.
