Alpha Cameron's Vengeful Mate Chapter 24

“You really should learn to keep your hands to yourself. I have already been told the rules but that doesn’t mean that I will not defend myself. Leave before this gets out of hand.” I tell her with my hands folded under my chest which is noticeably bigger than hers. 

“You won’t get away with this.” she says before storming out of my room. I shake my head and go to my bag taking out a nice blue blouse with a V-neck showing some cleavage and a pair of jeans that hug my curves and I put on some black ballet shoes. I decide to let my hair stay in its naturally curly state as it air dries and let it hang down my back.  

Picking up my phone, I text Caroline and ask her to walk with me to the dining hall for dinner. Cameron said that he’d be in his office so at least I could avoid him until I leave tomorrow. She instantly texts back and says that she is on her way. I sit in the sitting room and wait for her to arrive, then I realize that I need to ask her a question when she gets here. Shortly after, a knock is at the door and I get up to answer and am grateful to see her on the other side.  

“Hey. You look really good all clean.” She says teasingly. 

“Thanks.” I say and giggle. She grabs my hand then loops her arm with mine as I close the room door and we make our way downstairs. 

“Caroline, when I finished showering, there was a surprise guest sitting on my bed. Will I have to lock that door to stop it from happening? I mean I was treated poorly in my old pack but even they didn’t just come into my room like that.” I say irritated.  

“Surprise guest? Nobody should have been in your room. Everyone knows that you are the guest of the Alpha. Even Talon would knock or make his presence known before entering a room especially the room of a female.” she says looking shocked. 

“Well, she said that she is the future Luna and that I was in her room and needed to pack my shit and get out. I told her that she needed to talk to the Alpha if there was a problem because I only went where I was told.” 

“Oh no. Trinity really needs to learn her place. If Alpha Cameron heard of this, he would not be happy.” she says. Before I can say anything, Talon walks over. 

“What would Alpha not be happy about?” he asks as he places a kiss on Caroline’s cheek and she blushes. 

“About Trinity going into her room and telling her to get out.” says Caroline. 

“She did what!” comes from a booming voice and all three of us turn around to see a fuming Alpha Cameron. Why do I feel like I’m the one that he is mad at though. 

“Alpha, calm down. It was only a misunderstanding.” said Talon standing between us and my mate. I’m still trying to figure out if he is mad at me or not so I remain quiet but on guard. 

“I want to know what the hell is going on and I want to know now.” he says to Talon but he is looking directly at me. 

“Well, I don’t know everything. I came in a few minutes before you did, but from what I gather, Trinity said that Tiyanna is in her room and should pack her things and leave.” said Talon trying his best to diffuse the situation. Personally, I’ve had enough of the whole conversation. 

“Caroline, I think that maybe I should just go back to my room and have dinner there. It seems the Alpha has business that doesn’t concern me to handle and I want no parts of any of that mess.” I turn to leave heading back upstairs when a loud growl rips through the hallway and I turn to see my mate glaring at me. 

“You will not be going anywhere. Dinner is in the dining room and as for this mess that you’re speaking of, it seems like you are at the center so you will stay and deal with it.” He is almost shaking with anger and I’ve had enough. 

“I am not one of your servants or pack members that you can control with anger and fear. Unlike them, I am not afraid of you or what you may or may not do to me if I don’t comply. You’ve seen the pack that I came from and my wolf told you what happened to me, and you saw the marks on my back which means you know that I am accustomed to torture and pain. I’m done having Alphas and men with complexes treating me like shit, so if you want me to do something then you learn to ask me like a normal person. Commands get you nowhere with me.” I yell at him. Everyone in the hall is staring in shock including my mate, but at least he has stopped shaking. 

Before I can blink, he walks to me and grabs my arm then pulls me into the dining hall. When we enter everyone goes silent and look at us. What the hell is he up to now? I wonder to myself. Looking around the room, my eyes land on Trinity who has a smirk on her face seeing my mate holding me forcibly. I’d love to claw that look right off of her face. My wolf starts to surface and normally I’d try to subdue her, but not this time. I need her close just in case something happens. 

“Trinity, I’m hearing something disturbing, but I know it can’t be true because nobody here would ever question a decision that I’ve made, right?” he says to her. 

“I don’t know what that whore has told you but it isn’t true. I’d never go against anything you say Cameron.” she says batting her lashes at him and my wolf growls. 

“Calm yourself Tiyanna.” he says to me while looking at Trinity. My wolf huffs in my head but stays on the surface. 

“Then tell me why my Beta and his mate are telling me of an incident that happened on my floor involving you and my guest.” Guest? I’m your mate asshole. Whatever, we’re out of here in the morning. 

“You know what, we should just forget the whole thing. I mean, I am leaving in the morning anyway.” I say and try to pull my arm from his hold. 

“Oh no, Tiyanna. That’s not how things work around here. You see one of you is lying to me and that deserves a punishment. Now, who is telling me the truth? Trinity, were you or were you not in her room and did you tell her to pack her things and leave?” says my mate though I can tell from our bond that he knows I’m telling the truth. 

“Well, I was in her room, but I only wanted to check on her and I only told her to leave after she attacked me.” she lies. 

“That’s bullshit! I only pushed you when you ran at me trying to hit me. It isn’t my fault you went flying into the dresser.” I say defending myself. Cameron looks at me and then back at her. 

“Tiyanna what did I tell you before you stepped foot into my house? Was I unclear of the rules or do you think they don’t apply to you?” he says sounding pissed that I hit his little toy.
