Alpha Cameron's Vengeful Mate Chapter 33

Alpha Cameron’s POV 

Once she left my office, I put down the document that I was reading and thought about what she said. Do I want her as my mate, or just a pack member? Would it be so bad to have her as a mate? Having a Luna would definitely help with all this paperwork and from what I’ve investigated of her and her family, her father had a great business mind. Shaking the thought from my head, I pick the document back up and continue to read. This is a proposal from a pack to form an allegiance through trade. They are offering me shares in their company in return for protection in case of a rogue attack or attack from a larger pack. Normally I wouldn’t entertain these kinds of proposals, but this is about business, and owning shares in this company could be a lucrative investment. 

Hours pass and I stand up and stretch a bit before deciding to just call it quits on doing the paperwork for now. I leave my office and head to my room to change into some sweatpants and a t-shirt before heading to the forest to speak with the patrol manager. Once I find him, I have him brief me on what’s going on so far. 

“Michael, report please.” 

“Yes, Alpha.”  

He begins to tell me that the borders have been quiet, though there was a disturbance last night in the southern borders. Someone accidentally trespassed on their way to another pack and they were escorted out of my territory and warned to never make that mistake again because I do not give second chances. After I was briefed on everything, I decided to take a patrol shift and took off my shorts and t-shirt before shifting into my wolf. First, we took a lap around my entire territory before concentrating on the southern border. From there, I could get to the other areas quickly being an Alpha.  

At almost eleven o’clock that night there was someone pushing against my brain trying to mind-link me. I open the link to Talon yelling that I need to hurry and get to the pack house. He sounded like he was in a panic and that is not like him. As I’m running, I’m hoping that no one has gotten through our borders and was attacking the pack. I try to shake that thought from my head because if that was the case the alarm would have sounded.   

When I reach the packhouse, there are people running outside and screaming. I can hear things being broken and two females yelling and Talon sounding like he’s trying to calm someone down. Through the mate bond I can feel my mate’s anger and it is boiling. What the hell is going on with her? I wonder. Scenting the air, I follow the scent of my mate and find myself in the dining hall to find it utterly destroyed. My mate is shaking with anger and so is the person she is staring down. Talon is standing in the middle with his back facing the cause of her anger.  

“Talon, what is going on here?” I asked him. 

“Well, I don’t know how it got started, but I can tell you how it will end if you don’t help me. Tiyanna is too strong.” he said to me. 

“I’ll tell you what happened. This bitch thinks that she can just walk around here and do whatever she wants like she’s a real member of this pack.” says Trinity. 

“Call me that one more time slut, and see if I don’t separate your tongue from your mouth.” says Tiyanna. Is Trinity insane? Does she not see that this girl is close to shifting or feel her Alpha aura. 

“Tiyanna, calm down and will someone tell me what exactly is going on in my damn pack house!” I yell getting everyone’s attention. 

“Alpha, I can explain. Tiyanna and I came back from training and we ran into Trinity, literally. We walked through the door as she was coming out and I guess it hit her when we swung it open. Tiyanna apologized to her but Trinity said it wasn’t good enough. She said that Tiyanna didn’t sound sincere and that she should bow to her and show the proper respect since she will be our Luna. Tiyanna refused and said that she already apologized. That didn’t sit well with Trinity especially since it made her look bad in front of her friends when Tiyanna’s wolf came forward and said that she is the only Luna this pack will have as long as she is breathing. As you can see, it went downhill from there and they started fighting.” said Caroline.  

“Who attacked first?” I ask Caroline. 

“Trinity did Alpha.” she answers. 

“Trinity, did you attack Tiyanna?” I asked her.
