Betrayed and Claimed by the Lycan King Chapter 153
SYBILLA'S POV
Three days. That's how long it had taken to perfect this plan, and now everything was finally falling into place. I couldn't stop the excitement bubbling through me as I paced my apartment, imagining Isolde's face when she was publicly humiliated and punished.
My lips curled into a satisfied smile. Soon she'd be locked away or, better yet, subjected to public punishment. The thought of her being whipped in front of everyone at Silver Moon made me almost giddy with anticipation.
*She deserves it,* Vixen, my wolf, agreed. *After all the attention she's been getting from Ezra.*
*She thinks she's so special,* I thought bitterly, remembering how Ezra looked at her. That hungry gaze should be directed at me, not her.
"She'll finally be out of my way," I whispered to myself, smoothing down my designer dress. "And Ezra will see her for what she really is."
The sound of heels clicking against marble flooring alerted me to Evanthe's arrival before she even entered my suite. She swept in wearing an impeccable gray business suit, her blonde hair pulled back in a sleek ponytail, radiating authority and calculation.
"Is everyone ready?" Evanthe asked, her blue eyes scanning the room where six other girls from the Moon Alliance Program were gathered.
"Yes, we're all prepared," I confirmed, unable to keep the excitement from my voice.
Evanthe's lips curved into a slow, dangerous smile as she motioned for everyone to gather in a circle. "Good. Let's go over the plan one more time."
We formed a tight circle, and I felt a thrill of anticipation. This was it—the moment I'd been waiting for since Isolde first stepped foot in the Alliance Residence.
"Isolde has been lured to the room where we store food for our VIP clients," Evanthe explained, her voice low and precise. "The security cameras will catch her entering, which will serve as evidence."
She turned to Nyssa, a tall brunette with sharp features. "Nyssa, while she's away, you need to go to the training center's locker room and plant the herbs and poison in her locker. Don't get caught!"
"I won't!" Nyssa promised, her eyes gleaming with malicious intent.
Evanthe nodded approvingly before addressing Nora and Abby, two girls who'd been particularly hostile toward Isolde since her arrival. "Have you both eaten the food with the special additives?"
They nodded in unison.
"Excellent. Isolde will easily win your matches, and afterward, you two will step forward and accuse her of drugging your food so she could win easily. The herbs Nyssa plants will serve as evidence of this."
My heart raced with excitement. The plan was brilliant.
"Sybilla," Evanthe said, turning to me, "you'll lead Clara, Amara and Molly to the room where Isolde has been lured. You'll poison the meals intended for our special VIP guests."
My pulse quickened. This was risky, but the thought of finally getting rid of Isolde overrode any concerns. "I understand."
"Don't worry about the security footage," Evanthe assured us, her voice dropping even lower. "Isolde's entry into the room will be preserved as evidence, but yours will be immediately deleted... I've arranged for someone to handle the footage. So you don't need to worry."
I let out a small sigh of relief. The last thing I wanted was for this to be traced back to me, especially in front of Ezra. I couldn't bear the thought of him looking at me with disappointment—or worse, disgust.
"Now that we're clear," Evanthe declared, straightening her already perfect posture, "let's each take our positions... The rest of you, start moving!"
"Yes, ma'am," the other girls chorused, and we all dispersed.
Outside the Silver Moon apartment building, I watched Nyssa hurry toward the training center while I led my group toward the Privilege Apartments where the food was prepared and stored.
As we approached the entrance, I spotted Isolde walking out, looking confused and muttering to herself. Perfect—Evanthe had successfully lured her there.
"Aren't you supposed to be at the training center?" I called out, unable to resist the opportunity to taunt her. "I heard the matches have already started."
Isolde barely glanced at me, distracted by whatever thoughts were running through her mind. "Why would Orion ask me to meet him here in the first place?" she muttered. "And all that food! What the hell is going on?"
She brushed past me without another word, heading in the direction of the Battle Arena.
I couldn't help the smirk that spread across my face. *Genius,* I thought, mentally applauding Evanthe. She had managed to get Isolde exactly where we needed her to be. The satisfaction of watching my stepsister walk straight into our trap was almost as sweet as I imagined her downfall would be.
*She never even suspected a thing,* Vixen purred with satisfaction inside me. *So much for her superior instincts.*
Once Isolde was out of sight, I motioned for the other girls to follow me into the building. We made our way to the private room where the VIP meals were prepared, finding it conveniently unguarded.
I pulled out the special substance Evanthe had provided and carefully tipped it into each elegantly plated dish. My hands moved with practiced precision—this wasn't my first time sabotaging someone.
"Make sure it's evenly distributed," I instructed the others as they followed my lead with the remaining plates. "It needs to be undetectable until it's too late."
Clara looked nervous, her hands shaking slightly as she sprinkled the powder. "What if we get caught?" she whispered.
"We won't," I assured her confidently. "Evanthe has taken care of everything. Besides, all evidence will point to Isolde."
When we finished, we high-fived each other and quickly slipped out of the kitchen before the security staff returned.
"It's done," I announced, unable to keep the triumphant smile off my face. "Isolde is finished."
The evidence against her was overwhelming: poisoning important clients' food, drugging her competitors to win easily, security footage showing her in the food storage room, and the same poison found among her belongings. There was no way she could talk her way out of this.
*Finally,* I thought as we walked away, *I'll be rid of Isolde once and for all. And Ezra will be all mine.*
The thought of having Ezra's full attention again made my wolf purr with anticipation. After Isolde was gone, I would comfort him, show him I was the better choice. The Luna position that should have been mine from the beginning would finally be within reach.
