Betrayed and Claimed by the Lycan King Chapter 51

Isolde's POV

My knees hit the hard floor of Beta Nathaniel's office as Greta pushed down on my shoulders. Every muscle in my body trembled uncontrollably.

"You'd better be on your knees when Beta Nathaniel arrives," Greta hissed, her thin lips twisted in cruel satisfaction.

I looked up at her desperately, tears blurring my vision. "Ms. Moris, please, you have to believe me. I had nothing to do with this. I was set up—this is Evanthe and Sybilla's doing. Please."

My voice cracked as I pleaded, but Greta's expression remained unmoved, her gray eyes cold as winter stone.

"Liar!" she spat, leaning down until her face was inches from mine. "Now I know you're not just a thief, but a whore too. The Beta? You tried to seduce Beta Nathaniel? Are you insane?"

I opened my mouth to protest, but no words came out. My lips moved silently as panic overwhelmed my ability to speak.

*Control your emotions!* Lyra urged inside me. *If we lose control and attack, we're finished.*

The door opened with a quiet click, and my heart nearly stopped. Beta Nathaniel Thornfield strode into his office, his tailored suit and perfect posture radiating corporate power. His dark, calculating eyes assessed the scene before settling on me—kneeling, tear-stained, and trembling.

"Is this her?" he asked Greta, his voice cool and professional.

"Yes, Beta. This is Isolde Blackwood, the Alliance girl who sent those... items to your office."

Nathaniel's lips thinned with displeasure. "This is serious. Such behavior damages Silver Moon's professional image."

"She denies any wrongdoing," Greta added, her voice dripping with contempt. "Claims she was set up."

Fresh tears spilled down my cheeks as I shook my head desperately, beyond words.

"Isolde Blackwood," Beta Nathaniel said, my name crisp and cold on his tongue.

I forced myself to look up, my lips quivering, hair falling in disarray around my tear-streaked face. "Beta Nathaniel," I whispered, barely audible.

"You've committed a serious infraction. You could face severe consequences." His tone left no doubt about the seriousness of the situation.

I swallowed hard, finding my voice at last. "I swear, I'm innocent. I didn't know what was in that box. I was just following instructions to deliver it."

"Tell the truth," Greta urged. "A confession might lessen your punishment."

Something snapped inside me—a combination of fear, frustration, and outrage pushing through my restraint. "I AM telling the truth!" I shouted, my voice echoing in the spacious office. "Emma gave me that box, and I had no idea what was inside!"

Greta gasped at my audacity to raise my voice in Beta Nathaniel's presence, her face contorting with rage. Before she could respond, a deep, commanding voice came from the doorway.

"What's happening here?"

The air in the room seemed to crystallize. I didn't need to turn around to know who had arrived—the scent of pine, winter snow, and something darkly dangerous gave him away immediately. My fear, somehow, intensified even further.

*Our mate is here!* Lyra cried joyfully inside me. *Our mate will protect us!*

"Alpha Ezra," Greta immediately bowed, her entire demeanor transforming in the presence of the Lycan King.

"She delivered sex toys to Beta Nathaniel as a gift a few hours ago, and now she's denying it," Greta reported quickly.

I remained kneeling, frozen in place as the most powerful werewolf in the city entered the room, his Alpha aura washing over me in waves. Each step he took closer made my birthmark burn hotter.

"Explain in detail," he commanded, addressing Nathaniel directly. "What happened exactly?"

Beta Nathaniel straightened his already perfect posture. "I received a package earlier today, allegedly sent by this Alliance Program participant. When opened, it contained condoms, dildos of various sizes, and other sexual items. The packaging indicated it was sent in Ms. Moris's name."

Ezra's stormy gray eyes flashed briefly with gold as they moved from Nathaniel to me kneeling on the floor. I felt stripped bare under his gaze, as if he could see through every layer of my being.

"She continues to deny knowledge of the contents," Nathaniel continued. "Claiming she was merely delivering a sealed box on instructions."

"I don't understand why she won't just admit what she did," Greta interjected. "The evidence is irrefutable."

Ezra stood silent for a long moment, his expression unreadable as he studied me. I couldn't hold back my tears, my entire future hanging by a thread as I knelt before these powerful Lycans.

"Please," I whispered, looking directly at Ezra. "I'm innocent."

Something flickered in his eyes—a decision made, perhaps.

"Leave," Ezra commanded suddenly, his eyes still on me but his words clearly directed at Greta.

Her mouth fell open in surprise before she quickly composed herself. "Yes, Alpha," she replied, bowing deeply before retreating from the office.

When the door closed behind her, Ezra's attention remained fixed on me. "Stand up."

As Ezra's stormy gray eyes bore into mine, a strange heat began to coil deep within me, unbidden and overwhelming.

My knees trembled, not from fear now, but from a primal, animalistic need that surged through me. My skin flushed hot, and I felt a slick warmth gathering at my core, soaking through the fabric of my underwear. My lips parted and a soft, involuntary moan nearly escaped.

I shifted slightly, and the movement only worsened the sensation, the friction of my thighs sending a jolt of pleasure through me. My nipples hardened, painfully sensitive, and I could feel the wet heat dripping down my inner thighs, leaving me mortified yet powerless to stop it. My mind screamed at me to pull myself together, but my body was no longer my own—it was his, caught in the spell of his gaze.

*There is something wrong with his eyes!*

My legs nearly buckled as another wave of arousal hit me, my core clenching with need, my body begging for his touch, his claim, anything to ease the torment.

“She didn’t do this,” Ezra stated with absolute certainty, his voice cutting through the fog of my desire like a blade and saved me.

The words hit me like a bucket of ice water, snapping me out of the lust-induced trance. My eyes widened, my breath catching as clarity flooded back. I gasped, horrified at the state of my body—the soaked fabric clinging to my thighs, the flush of my skin, the way I’d been moments away from losing myself completely under his gaze. My heart pounded with a mix of relief and shame as I realized what had just happened, my mind reeling from both his declaration of my innocence and the humiliating way my body had betrayed me.

“Are you certain, Alpha?” Nathaniel asked, his expression confused.

“She didn’t do this,” Ezra repeated, his voice leaving no room for argument. “This was a trap set for her.”

I swayed slightly on my feet, light-headed with relief, confusion, and the lingering heat that still simmered beneath my skin. The Lycan King—a man who barely knew me—had just declared my innocence without a shred of doubt. My heart pounded wildly in my chest as a single question echoed in my mind.
