EZRA'S POV

Several hours later, I sat in my office, the weight of everything pressing down on my shoulders like a physical force. The evidence was damning, overwhelming, and yet part of me still couldn't quite believe the depths of Evanthe's deception.

My phone buzzed against the desk, Orion's name flashing on the screen.

"Alpha Ezra," his voice came through crisp and professional. "All relevant personnel have been taken to the group's safe house as per your instructions. Nathaniel and I, along with several security personnel, are handling the remaining matters at headquarters, but we just learned that Evanthe went to our parents' house. I'm calling to ask whether we should execute the arrest there, or wait for you to handle it personally."

I closed my eyes, pinching the bridge of my nose as exhaustion threatened to overwhelm me. *Evanthe will never stop giving me headaches.* The thought of her right now, probably at the Hawthorne family home, basking in what she believed was her victory over Isolde, made my jaw clench. She was probably bragging to her parents about how she had me wrapped around her finger, how she'd manipulated the Lycan King himself.

"I've changed my mind," I said, my voice hard with resolve. "Wait for me at headquarters. I'm coming over, and we'll go execute the arrest together."

The truth was, I didn't want to miss seeing Evanthe's expression change from confusion to fear to terror when her crimes were finally exposed. I wanted to see her father Aiden Hawthorne lose his shit like he always did. *Those people have been fucking my life up for far too long. I want to witness every second of their downfall.*

I stood, pulling on my tailored suit jacket with sharp, precise movements. After pocketing my phone, I strode quickly from my office, my steps echoing through the hallway as I made my way to the waiting luxury sedan.

Thirty minutes later, our convoy of black SUVs pulled into the Hawthorne estate. I rode with Orion and Nathaniel, watching as Cade expertly navigated the winding driveway. The moment we stopped, I opened my own door and stepped out, the others following suit. Within seconds, the entire courtyard was filled with security personnel in black suits, their presence unmistakable and intimidating.

I walked toward Orion, noting his expressionless face. Something about his demeanor concerned me—this was his family we were about to destroy, after all.

"Are you sure you want to witness all this?" I asked him quietly.

His response was immediate and firm. "Of course I do." His voice carried no hesitation as he continued, "They did wrong. Specifically, Evanthe committed many unforgivable crimes. She's my sister, but I don't even recognize her anymore. Now, I only see her as a criminal who must be punished for her crimes."

There wasn't a trace of doubt or retreat in his words. I nodded calmly, placing a reassuring hand on his shoulder. "If that's how you feel."

Orion turned to lead the way toward the front door, but it seemed his parents had already sensed our arrival. The door suddenly swung open, revealing Aiden and his wife, with a surprised-looking Evanthe walking between them.

"Alpha Ezra... what a surprise!" Aiden called out, his voice almost jovial. He looked around at all the security personnel scattered throughout his property with a confused but amused expression, a pleasant smile plastered across his face. He clearly had no idea why we were here.

Both Mrs. Hawthorne and Evanthe wore similar smiles. The sight of Evanthe's smile made my blood boil with rage.

"Alpha Ezra..." Evanthe stepped forward, her voice sickeningly sweet. Her gaze swept over my shoulder, taking in the men behind me, before returning to my face. "I'm so sorry I left headquarters without notifying you. I just wanted to visit my parents and let them know I was discharged from the hospital and that everything was fine."

She giggled—actually giggled—as if this were some sort of social call.

I noticed something in her eyes that confused me, a strange light that seemed almost... manic. Her laughter was equally bewildering, especially given the tense atmosphere that any person with half a brain should have been able to detect.

"You... you really didn't need to bring a security team to pick me up from headquarters," she continued, still laughing. "I was at my father's house, so I was completely safe."

"What?" The word escaped my lips before I could stop it.

Evanthe's misinterpretation continued as she beamed at me. "I'm sure when your security personnel told you I was here, you must have been very worried. You thought I was in danger, so you brought so many people here, right? You even brought your Beta and Gamma with you. Oh... seeing how much you care about me, I'm really touched."

*Jesus Christ, I've really had enough of her bullshit.* Prime was snarling in my head, demanding we end this charade immediately. The woman was so delusional, so convinced of her own narrative, that she couldn't see the writing on the wall even when it was spelled out in front of her in ten-foot letters.

I stared at her, my expression carefully neutral, as she continued to dig her own grave with every word that came out of her mouth. Behind me, I could feel the tension radiating from my men, everyone waiting for my signal to move forward with what we'd actually come here to do.

The irony wasn't lost on me—here was Evanthe, the master manipulator, the woman who had orchestrated an elaborate scheme involving fake pregnancies, poisoning, and framing an innocent woman, and she couldn't even read the room well enough to realize she was about to be arrested.
