Betrayed and Claimed by the Lycan King Chapter 330

Ezra's POV

I woke up in one of my guest suites with a splitting headache and rage coursing through my veins like poison.

I sat up, running my hands through my hair, trying to calm the fury that threatened to consume me. The very thought of Lillian's naked body sprawled across the sheets where Isolde had once slept, where we'd shared moments that meant everything to me, made my skin crawl. It felt like betrayal—like I was cheating on Isolde just by allowing Lillian to remain in that sacred space.

*That manipulative bitch always ruins everything,* I thought bitterly, my jaw clenching. *She's so fucking annoying.*

I couldn't even stand the thought of sleeping in my own bedroom now. Maybe I should just get a new master suite altogether. The entire room felt contaminated by her presence.

Throwing on yesterday's clothes, I stalked toward the elevator like an angry Alpha wolf, my frown deep enough to intimidate anyone who dared cross my path. As the elevator descended, I could already hear the sounds of activity from the private dining room below—dishes clinking, Lillian's voice giving orders to Una like she owned the fucking place.

I let out a heavy sigh and rolled my eyes. Of course she was down there, probably preparing some elaborate breakfast I never asked for, playing house like nothing had happened.

*Not today,* I decided firmly. *I won't eat a damn thing she's made. I don't care if she figures out how I really feel about her.*

The elevator doors opened, and I strode out quickly. The sound of the elevator running must have alerted Lillian because she came rushing out of the dining room just as I emerged, intercepting me in the spacious living area.

"Good morning, Alpha," she said, that brilliant smile lighting up her face, practically bouncing on her feet with excitement. She was wearing some designer dress that probably cost more than most people's monthly salary.

The sight of her smile made my mood tank even further. "Good morning, Lillian," I replied, my voice rough and distant.

Her bouncing stopped abruptly, and she went quiet, clearly picking up on my cold tone.

"Your breakfast is ready," she said, gesturing toward the dining room.

I glanced over and saw the elaborate spread—perfectly arranged dishes, fresh-squeezed juices. The delicious aroma wafted toward me, and despite myself, I felt a pang of hunger. But I couldn't. If I ate that breakfast, it would be like giving her permission for last night's stunt, encouraging her to try more of those fucking tricks.

"I'm not in the mood for breakfast," I said firmly.

The smile vanished from her face instantly. "Why not?"

"I just don't want to eat."

I turned to leave, but her voice stopped me. "Is it because of what I did last night?"

I stopped in my tracks, slowly turning back to face her with a frown. My eyes automatically swept the area, making sure no one else was within earshot. The last thing I needed was for this to get back to Isolde.

"That was highly inappropriate," I said quietly.

Lillian's expression shifted to something almost defensive. "I really don't think I did anything wrong, but if I offended you, I'm sorry. If you don't want me to do it again, I won't."

"I don't want you to, so I'm counting on you to keep that promise."

But she couldn't leave it alone. She never could. "But why not? I used to be your mate... don't you find me attractive anymore?"

The question hit me like a slap. She was completely missing the fucking point. This wasn't about her attractiveness—it was about my loyalty to Isolde. I'd told her about Isolde before. Was she pretending to be oblivious, or was she really that selfish?

I felt my patience snap. I was done playing this game.

"Lillian," I said, my voice sharp with finality. "I don't want you making me breakfast anymore. Don't waste your time, because I won't eat it. And as for what happened last night—it can never happen again. Please."

Her face flushed with indignation. "What if I can't do that? You used to be my mate, I have the right to—"

"I have to go now," I cut her off, my tone brooking no argument. "Have a good day."

I turned and strode toward my private elevator with my head held high, ignoring the angry, incoherent muttering I could hear behind me. I didn't give a damn what she had to say.

When I reached the main hall, Una was waiting with my briefcase, professional as always.

"Keep my master bedroom locked at all times," I instructed her coolly.

Una nodded without question. "Of course, sir."

I took the briefcase from her hands and headed toward the executive elevator, my mind already focused on what needed to happen next.

*Orion and I really need to talk.*

This situation was spiraling out of control.
