Claimed by My Bully Alpha Chapter 381

Aurora’s P.O.V

I took a step back, my mind racing. "Caleb, I need you to find him. Now," I said, my voice firm, determined. "I don’t care what it takes. I need to know he’s okay. He’s the only one who would know what happened last night."

Caroline stepped up beside me, her hand on my arm, a comforting gesture that didn’t quite ease the panic that was clawing at me. "Aurora, we’ll do everything we can, but we need to be cautious. This... this could be something big. Something we don’t understand yet."

I shook my head, trying to remember what I had witnessed last night before I had chased after Ashton and Maggie. My head was heavy, and my limbs felt as though they were made of lead. I could barely keep my eyes open, let alone stand straight. But I clearly remembered seeing Caleb, Caroline, Jade, and even Mia, drunk to the point of unconsciousness. But that was the thing—wolves don’t get drunk easily, not unless there’s something else at play. Yet, last night, when I had snuck out to follow Ashton, none of them had so much as stirred.

I could see Caroline watching me, her brow furrowed with concern. Her voice was gentle, but there was a hint of confusion in her words.

“You alright, Aurora?” Caroline asked softly, her eyes scanning me for any signs of something more serious.

I barely managed to shake my head, my thoughts fuzzy and sluggish. “I don’t think so. Something’s wrong, Caroline.” I glanced around the room, trying to make sense of everything. “You once told me that wolves don’t get drunk this easily…then how were you guys almost unconscious last night? Could it be…someone had spiked the drinks? Or even the food?”

Caroline’s voice dropped lower, more cautious. “You think… you think it was the drinks? Maybe it was something in the mix? Aurora…we opened all sealed bottles…how could the drinks be spiked? We would’ve smelled the change…we would’ve tasted the difference.

The words hit me like a bolt of lightning, and a jolt of adrenaline surged through me, clearing the fog in my mind, just enough to make me sit up straighter. The truth was there, right in front of me, and I knew it without a doubt. Ashton and Maggie. I’d seen them earlier, their smirks barely noticeable, their eyes glinting in a way that made my skin crawl. They’d been too eager, too quick to push the drinks on us, and we’d all been too distracted to notice the subtle way they slipped something into the mix.

But the thing was, with werewolf senses, any of the wolves in the room might have notices the difference in taste or even smell…unless…

Unless it was rigged with something that couldn’t be detected by even wolf senses.

Magic.

I stood, almost stumbling in the process, and turned to Caroline. My voice was low, but there was a fire building within me, an urgency that couldn’t be ignored. “Caroline,” I said, my words sharp and firm, “I believe Ashton and Maggie rigged our drinks. They did something to us, and they did it on purpose. I know they’re my half-siblings, but it’s getting harder and harder to trust them. It’s not just the drinks, Caroline. There’s something else going on with them, and it doesn’t feel right.”

Caroline’s eyes widened, and she instinctively took a step back, as if the weight of my words was more than she’d bargained for. But she didn’t doubt me—not for a second. I could see the wheels turning in her head, the gears grinding as she processed the information, piecing it together.

“But… why? What could they possibly want with us?” Caroline asked, her voice trembling slightly. She wasn’t used to seeing me this way, so uncertain and scared. I didn’t blame her. Neither was I.

I didn’t have all the answers, but I felt it deep in my bones—this wasn’t some random mistake. I wasn’t too familiar with Ashton and Maggie’s games, but I was getting there. They weren’t just some random half-siblings who happened to be there at Lucas’s house; no, they were something more. They were dangerous, manipulative, and calculating. And I couldn’t let whatever they were planning go any further.

“I don’t know yet,” I muttered, feeling the weight of the situation settle in. “But I will find out. They’re hiding something, and I’m going to get to the bottom of it, no matter what.”

Caroline nodded slowly, her gaze never leaving mine. “I’m with you,” she said quietly. “Caleb and I will both support you, Aurora. I don’t trust them either. But we need to stay smart about this. We can’t let them know we’re onto them.”

“I know.” I told her. “But there is something else that I need to tell you as well…The test with Alice…I think Ashton cheated on it.”
