Claimed by My Bully Alpha Chapter 432

Aurora’s P.O.V

I shook my head, my chest tightening as the thought dug deeper into me. “No… no, this is impossible,” I said, my voice sharper than I intended. “For you to even dream of achieving something like this, you’d need sacrifices.”

Ashton’s eyes didn’t waver. He nodded slowly, almost too calmly. “You’re right,” he said. “We do need sacrifices.”

Caroline, who had been silent until now, snapped out of her shock. Her voice cracked as she demanded, “What the hell do you mean by that? Sacrifices of what? Of who?”

Ashton turned to her, his expression unflinching. “Witches aren’t the only ones with magic running through their veins,” he replied.

Caroline’s brow furrowed, her voice rising with disbelief. “Stop talking in riddles, Ashton! What the hell are you trying to say?”

His lips curved into something between a smirk and a grimace. “Wolves,” he said simply. “Wolves are not just animals. They are mythical creatures, born from the essence of the moon goddess herself.”

I felt my stomach twist. “No…” I whispered, already knowing where he was going.

Ashton looked straight at me. “Sacrificing an entire pack of wolves,” he continued, his tone deliberate, “…is equal to sacrificing three covens of witches.”

Caroline let out a harsh laugh, but it was shaky. “You’re insane. You can’t mean that.”

“I do,” Ashton said, firm, unyielding. “It’s the truth.”

I felt my hands curl into fists. “And you’re telling me… you would actually go that far? You would slaughter a pack for this? My pack?”

Ashton tilted his head. “If it brings us what we seek, then yes.”

Caroline’s eyes widened, her voice breaking. “You’re a monster.”

He didn’t flinch. “Maybe. But monsters are the ones who survive.”

I took a step toward him, my anger burning. “Over my dead body will you touch my pack.”

Ashton met my glare without hesitation. “If that’s the price, Aurora… then so be it.”

I looked at Caroline, my eyes wide, and hers mirrored mine with the same terror.

“It wasn’t a rogue attack,” she whispered, voice trembling. “Aurora… it was the start of something worse.”

My chest tightened, and without thinking, I reached for Caleb through our bond. “Caleb…” I choked out, but the moment I tried, a searing pain exploded in my head. I screamed, clutching my temples.

Caroline let out the same cry, doubling over. “No, Aurora, I can’t…”

“Maggie!” I gasped, forcing myself upright, my voice shaking. “What’s happening? Why can’t I reach him?”

Maggie’s expression didn’t soften. Her tone was cold, almost final. “Because your attempts are pointless. You’re not in the same plane anymore. This is an entirely different dimension, locked in time and space.”

Caroline’s head snapped toward her. “That’s impossible! Our bond, it’s stronger than any barrier!”

“Not this one,” Maggie cut in sharply. “Here, you can scream all you want, but they will never hear you.”

I shook my head violently, refusing to believe it. “No… no, you’re wrong. Caleb would feel me, he always feels me.” My voice broke halfway, desperation bleeding through.

Maggie’s eyes darkened. “And yet he doesn’t, does he?”

Caroline’s hands fisted at her sides, her voice rising. “Then how do we warn them? How do we tell them what’s coming?”

“You don’t,” Maggie replied flatly. “You have no means of warning them. Whatever happens out there… your pack will face it blind.”

I staggered forward, glaring at her. “You can’t expect us to just sit here while they, while Caleb…” My throat tightened, rage mixing with fear. “Tell me there’s a way!”

“There is no way,” Maggie said simply.

Caroline grabbed my arm, her grip trembling. “Aurora, what if she’s right? What if they’re already under attack and we can’t…”

“Don’t say that!” I snapped, voice raw. “Don’t even put that into words!”

Caroline’s eyes brimmed with tears, but she held my gaze. “Then what do we do?”

I pressed my hands against my temples, fighting the pain that still lingered from the failed bond.

“We find a way,” I whispered fiercely, more to myself than to anyone else. “I don’t care what dimension this is. I don’t care what Maggie says. I will not let them face this alone.”

Maggie only watched us, silent, her expression unreadable.

I stared at Maggie’s nonchalance, my chest tightening, the words spilling out of me before I could stop them. “How can you even do this? Out of all your tricks, all your lies, your games…I thought your feelings for Jade were at least real.” My voice cracked halfway, and I hated that she could hear the break in it.

Maggie didn’t flinch. She held my gaze, her jaw stiff. “They are real, Aurora. Every bit of them.” She shook her head, almost angrily, as though I was the one twisting her truth. “That’s exactly why we shifted him before any of this happened. You think I would’ve risked him?”

I blinked at her, stunned, my words caught in my throat. “Shifted… him?” I whispered, then my eyes darted past her, scanning the space until something pulled me like a thread. There, on the far end of the dimension, near the edge where the void churned in silence. A body lay motionless. Not dead, just unconscious.

My stomach dropped. When had they shifted Jade? He had been under strict surveillance since he was admitted to the infirmary!

“No…” I breathed. “No, Maggie… tell me that isn’t…”

“It’s Jade,” she said softly, almost reverently, as if the name itself was a secret she had protected for too long.

I stumbled a step forward, my voice louder now, shaking. “You left him there? Lying on the edge of the void like some discarded… What, token? You call this love?”

Maggie’s eyes glistened, and for the first time, her voice broke. “Don’t you dare think I don’t love him. That’s why he was the first one we saved. That’s why he’s here at all. You think I’d let anyone else touch him? You think I’d let him disappear like the rest?”

I swallowed hard, my throat raw. “Then why keep him here? Why bring him in the heart of danger without even telling us?”

She shook her head again, stepping closer. “Because if you knew, Aurora, you would’ve tried to stop me. You would’ve dragged him away before we were ready. And I couldn’t let that happen. Not when he means everything to me.”
