Logan Chapter 102

Emory and I have been brainstorming for days, and the only real option we’ve found is to “dilute” the weirdness of the livestream of our mating ceremony by getting caught having risky sex. Probably multiple times. The immediate concerns are about public indecency charges, as well as exposing ourselves to people who have no part in this quiet war we’re waging. My mind has been alive with ideas, but Emory is still mostly stuck on her panic.

Since I’m better suited to planning things like this anyway, I start thinking through ways we could accidentally-on-purpose get caught. On day two of plotting, I think to ask the guys about it.

Me:

I have a weird-ass question to ask you all, but there’s a sane reason behind it.

Ollie:

I love it already. My day has finally begun.

Deek:

What does that even mean? Do you just stay in bed when nobody has any gossip, you old woman?

James:

Ask the question, Logan.

Deek:

Yeah, some of us still work.

Me:

I’m on my honeymoon!

Me:

Anyway. How would I go about getting caught having sex with Emory in “public” without getting arrested?

Ollie:

Ohh this sounds like a James question! Emory must be kinkier than we ever could have thought!

Me:

Fuck off, Ollie!

James:

How public does it need to be? Who do you want to catch you? Clearly, you can’t just pull her into an alley somewhere.

Me:

I need it public enough to end up on the conspiracy sites

Deek:

Are you seriously fighting fire with fire by making porn of yourselves?

Porn! We could just post it ourselves!

Ollie:

No, they’d never believe it. It needs to look like found footage.

James:

You could go to a sex club and have security “leak” some of the footage. You’d have to pay big money for that or go somewhere that already has a terrible reputation for that, though. Nowhere else would risk the breach of trust for their other clients.

Me:

I’m not sure how comfortable with that Emory would be. No need to ruin someone else’s life trying to mop up ours.

Ollie:

No use recording in your own home, either. Conspiracy nuts will be suspicious of you all acting too comfortable with your surroundings, or being in a normal bedroom.

Deek:

I have an idea.

Deek:

I already regret it, but I have one.

Me:

Well? Let’s hear it, idea man. We’ll get James to go over it before we execute this time.

James:

Can’t. Wait.

Ollie:

Me either!!

Deek:

One or all of us host events. You very obviously sneak off with your girl and get hot and heavy. We’ll give you a head start and send someone after you. They post it online, the other guests would have seen you leaving the room. Boom. Deviants, not wolves.

Ollie:

Watch it, D.

Me:

Won’t that cause people to look more deeply into you? There are people who are already speculating because they know we’re friends. I wouldn’t want to drag you down.

James:

We frequently attend each others’ events, anyway. We won’t schedule anything we weren’t already planning on. Also, Logan, I’ll see if I can get you connected with a local group that does BDSM parties. Someone should be fine with posting footage. I’m sure there’s someone who will get off on it.

Me:

Great. We’ll go from there, then.

I can’t help but sigh in relief when I have a firm plan of attack. I hate having loose ends left to solve. It makes for bad business and it almost always comes back to bite before long. I check in on Emory’s current thoughts and realize she’s been too busy talking to the cooks to eavesdrop on my plotting. I decide to put the whole thing out of my mind so I can surprise her. She loves when I spring sexy new games on her, even if she pretends to hate it. Telepathy has been one of the hottest parts of our relationship. I get an inside look at whether she’s actually reluctant about something we’re doing or she’s just embarrassed by how much she likes it.

It’s one of my favorite things to watch her master her nerves or embarrassment simply because I asked her to and she’s too aroused to back down. She gets so feisty in the moment, and I love that I’m gradually drawing that personality out of her after years of being buried under anxiety and self-consciousness. It’s like watching a flower bloom to see her slowly but surely gain confidence in everyday situations. She’s even getting better at faking it in front of the pack. Everyone understands, of course, that she’s a human in a very new situation, but she’s starting to hold her own. She has a very motherly presence with the pack that I think has been missing for a long time. She nurtures us all in a way we’ve been going without, and I think it’ll pull us closer together than we’ve been before- more like a big family than the looser community we’ve become.
