Logan Chapter 50
-Emory-
We finally arrive at the pack house. I know this because after my third climax in one car ride, Logan pulls my pants back up my legs and pets my hair until I come down. I hear the driver talking to someone guarding the gate, and then I finally have a chance to see how Logan actually lives. I’m still feeling a little fuzzy, but when I finally focus on the house- mansion, actually- I see a gorgeous front porch with columns, of all things. The whole outside of the house is very Antebellum South. It’s a bit out of place in New York City, but it’s beautiful and I can tell just from looking that it’s old. The paint is new, as are the gutters and roof, but they’re all updates to a stately old dame. I can’t wait to see the inside.
All of this grinds to a halt in my head when I think back about some of the things Logan said while he was talking dirty to me earlier. I feel myself blushing all over again when I realize he mentioned me ‘putting on a show’ for him while he was in wolf form. “Wait a minute. You remember being a wolf? Like you were aware the whole time?!”
Logan quirks half a grin at me, like he didn’t think this was the conversation we’d be having. Me either, buster. “Yes? There were some times when my wolf put me in the back seat, but I spent almost the whole time trying to figure out how to have hands again so I could just hold you. It was so frustrating.” Oh no.
“So you… you remember eating dog food, and having to pee outside, and, and, all the stuff I said while I was crying? You remember me masturbating??” I just want to end it all. I can’t believe he can even speak to me after I took him on walkies. I was so deliciously relaxed just a minute ago, but I can feel every muscle cranking back tight again.
Logan looks at me strangely. “Did you… think I was just the wolf when I was on four legs? Did you not realize what it meant when you watched me change? We’ll have to have the rest of this conversation later, love. Let’s get out and introduce you to Landon.” Logan gets out of the car while I try my hardest not to hyperventilate. After three deep breaths, I take his hand and climb out behind him.
Landon definitely looks like Logan’s brother. They have the same eyes, the same hair color and texture, but Landon stands a couple of inches shorter and is a little wider through the shoulders. He has the same damn dimple, but somehow his smile looks more mischievous than Logan’s. Thankfully, it’s a little less devastating, or this whole thing would be even harder. I get to my feet and hold out my hand to shake his, only for him to kiss my knuckles and bounce his eyebrows at me.
“Now I understand, bro! You must be the incomparable Emory that has caused all this trouble. I’d start a war for you, darlin, just say the word.” He grins at me in a way that says he’s not serious, unless…? I can’t help but laugh at his antics, even as Logan smacks the back of his head.
“I think we’ve had enough excitement lately, don’t you? You must be Landon. Excellent to meet you. Logan said you’ve been holding down the fort here while we were… playing house. I can’t thank you enough for holding the home front together while we figured ourselves out.” Landon outright guffaws.
“Playing house? Is that what you’re going to call it? I got the full run-down from James. Sounded more like pet play to me. I didn’t think you were kinky like that, Logan!” It’s easy to see that Landon is all about fun and games. Logan needs someone to keep him from being all serious all the time, though. I’m glad they grew up to balance each other out.
Logan tries for another head slap, just for Landon to dance out of the way. I keep forgetting that these men aren’t human. They’re far more graceful than I keep expecting for their physiques. “That was part of the mating bond, ass! We had no idea what would happen. It could’ve happened to anyone.” I pat Logan’s arm to calm him back down. Apparently getting stuck as your wolf is something to be embarrassed about. Noted.
“Yeah, but it happened to you. Big, bad, alpha got stuck like a toddler. And if it could happen to anyone, then obviously I need to tell everybody! I’ll get right on it. Nice to meet you Emory! Can’t wait to see your bedhead tomorrow morning at the breakfast table! Try to let Logan shower off a little bit of your scent before meeting everyone else next time!” Landon jogs away after the last jab, laughing to himself and dodging Logan’s threats. I can feel my entire body heating with a rush of blood. On the one hand, having Logan smell like my… privates… might be the most embarrassing thing I can think of. I can’t believe I didn’t think about the fact that everyone in the pack would know what we were just doing.
I’m almost grateful to Landon for letting me know. I’m glad to see that he’s the kind of person that will tell you the hard truths without being a jerk about it. Even though I know Landon was taking it easy on me because he loves his brother, I’m happy that we could start with a positive interaction. I might be the most embarrassed I’ve ever been- and that’s a high bar lately- but that could’ve gone much worse. Just the entire rest of the pack to go.
