The Rare and Rejected Mate Chapter 10

"Her signal, it's moving." We hear from the other room. "Alpha Richards, Deon, her signal is moving fast we need to move before it's too late and we lose her."

"Find my daughter and bring her home." Alpha Richard states.

"Find your future Luna safe and alive." With those words, they leave out the door to go find her.

"I hope they find her, Ames has been my best friend since we were little, I don't know what I would do without her."

We go to the Living room and sit on the sofas while Alpha Richards opens the door.

"Alpha Richards, can I speak to Kevin?" He turns back to Kevin and a sour face Diamond.

"No, Jen you cheated on me remember and besides you only wanted me for my title, and to find out you rejected your mate only because he wasn't an Alpha, just shows how greedy for the power you are." She tries to walk in but, the Alpha stops her."

"You are no longer welcomed here.....wait didn't I say this to you before, why do you keep coming back here? Leave my family alone, now that you are no longer trapping my son, you have no business with us anymore."

"Wait a minute Jen." I walk over to her and whisper in her ear. "If I find out you had anything to do with Amber's disappearance I will not hesitate to kill you, understand? Now leave and never come back. " I slip another, smaller tracker on her in addition to the tracker Austin left behind in a hurry. She stands in the doorway as Alpha closes the door on her, she bangs on the door as loud as she can yelling for Kevin to talk to her.

A few hours later, it's about 8:00 at night and she is still out there, Kevin decides to go out there and have a talk with her to maybe get her to leave.

"Kevin, thank you for coming to talk to me."

"What do you want?" Kevin has us on speakerphone as he is talking to Jen.

"I miss you."

"Really, that not what it was at the restaurant and what it looked like on the pictures and the video I have of you JERKING OFF OUR TEACHER!"

"I deserved that, but that was in the past I'm all about you now."

"You mean the past few days ago, stop lying to me Jen, and just tell me the truth. You were just with me for the title, right?"

"Yes, I was but, then I fell in love with you."

I did too, but my feelings were real and now I can't stand to look at you anymore." There's a pause before Jen speaks.

"You will if you want to keep your sister and Diamond safe." We all look at each other.

"You know where Amber is and Diamond is already safe with me and my family."

"I don't know where she is but, I know who took her and they will come for Diamond sooner rather than later."

"What do you want?" We look out the window and see her walk towards Kevin and reach in his pocket, talk out his phone, and smash it on the ground after that it seems like she whispered something in his ear and then kissed him.

"Come on Kevin, tell her off." Diamond is so close to exploding that I have to physically restrain her before she kills someone, literally.

"Kevin, what-----why is she still here?" Jen is cuddling Kevin's arm tightly with a smile on her face and Diamond is not happy.

"Diamond, I......."

"Come on Kevin, do it."

"I have to------"

"He has to break up with you." We all see the pain on his face.

"Tell me she's lying Kevin, this is all a joke right. No, no, this can't be real after all the things we went through to get to where we are now. You said you love me."

"Well, he doesn't anymore and has never loved you." Kevin's voice is in my head.

"We have to talk, something you should know." I see Jen pinch his back and the mind-link cuts off as I see Jen slink her way over to me.

"Don't think since you are part of the strongest pack, doesn't mean I can't hurt you. If you tell Diamond anything that Kevin told you I will have no problem doing whatever I like to your precious mate."

"You don't scare me, Jen or should I call you by your real name, Jennifer Branks, the wanderer. Tell me how many men have you seduced in the many packs you robbed and gained their secrets. So, you're the last one to threaten me."

"Well, I hate to go, but this beauty won't stay like this on its own, I'm going to the spa." She leaves while Diamond who slipped outside somehow slipped the tracker underneath Jen's car. Diamond isn't stupid, she knows that something big is going on and she wants to know what. Kevin and I then walk Jen outside and Diamond puts out her hand.

"You win, Jen. You can have Kevin, the better woman won, right?" She puts on a fake smile, I know those last few words were painful to say. "So, no hard feelings?" Jen reaches for her hand and Diamond takes it and pulls her toward her and whispers something to her.

"Well, now that we're back together, we can continue where we left off and go on that picnic you promised to take me on."

"I guess, I'll call you later." Jen gets in her car and backs out the driveway. When we are sure she is gone, Kevin walks over to Diamond, and I. "Is it done?"

"Yep, the tracker is on, also I happened to find this." Diamond holds up a map. "Its a copy of the map of where they are going and the packs who will be attacked next."

"Packs are being attacked why?

"I'm not sure, I thought they just wanted me but, they're after something else."

"They're building an army." Everyone looks at me. "We need to talk to the Alpha and Luna.

Once inside we go to the Alpha, in his office talking to Luna about finding their daughter.

"Alpha, Luna, sorry to interrupt but, we need to talk to you." Diamond puts the map on the desk and the Alpha studies it. "I found this in Jen's car."

"I think Jen knows more than what she's saying, I think she knows where Amber is."

"Kevin, you should have never brought her into this house, she has turned this family upside down."

"We need to find who she is working with."

"Those rogues probably roped her into this."

"But, why are they attacking different packs, I thought they just wanted Diamond."

"I figure that was an excuse to scope out the area for a future attack, they have the surrounding packs circled on the map. They want to take the Alphas out and make the werewolf realm full of chaos and confusion by letting the werewolves fend for themselves and there be no order in the realm if that were to happen. Whoever these rogues are, they won't get away with this." Diamond walks over to me and puts her hand on my shoulder.

"I'm glad that Amber has someone like you, she needs to feel that love and warmth again." I look at her confused. "You're her second chance mate, she had a mate before you. His name was Ryann, he was murdered by some robbers, after that she has always buried herself in her schoolwork, or pack business but, ever since she found you, she has hope that she can love again."

"I will protect her with my life if I have to, Amber will be my Luna, after all, she has proven herself Luna worthy over the past weeks at the training camp, and you have shown the great strength of a Luna."

"That's Diamond for you, she has always been a determined girl, when she sets her mind on something she gets it done, Amber is the same way." Kevin says with a smile on his face.

I'm in the guest room of the Alphas house, Luna insisted that I stay here, she didn't want me at a hotel. My wolf is going crazy right now, he senses Amber's wolf and she is being injected with wolfsbane, if she gets too much of it she can lose her wolf and she will die.

"Come in."

"Diamond, what is it?"

"I miss Amber, you know and I want her to come back safe and alive. We've been through everything together, we've known each other since we were little." She comes into the room and sits on the sofa. "I remember the first time we met, it was 1st grade and so defended me from a group of girls who were picking on me and she saw they had my glasses." I look at her confused. "Yes I wore glasses, I don't anymore, I got Lasik eye surgery, she was the one who told me about the surgery. Amber and I call ourselves the power squad, and I'm missing my partner, so I need you to bring her back!
