The Rare and Rejected Mate Chapter 20

Diamond's P.O.V

I can't believe that Kevin would do this, can't believe that this is happening. My best friend is hurt because of the stupid deal that Kevin made. When I get back home he is going to have a piece of my mind.

I'm really worried about Ames, even though she killed twelve wolves, she still is in a bad state. The doctors just told us that she is in a coma now it will probably be weeks before she wakes up. They say her wolf is probably traumatized, and I wouldn't blame her after all they've been through enough. It makes me glad to know that she has a mate who is not only the strongest in the realm, but who really cares about her and would be loyal and faithful to her. The little she-wolf named Sheila comes into the infirmary and of course she tries to throw punches at Ames while she's in a coma in the hospital on her bed. She comes over and tries to get Deon's attention but, it doesn't work and he waves her off. She keeps trying but after the fourth time of trying that's when I've had enough.

"Don't you have anything better to do?"

"Yeah, I'm trying to get my man back. I don't know why he is over here with some random She Wolf caring about her and not me his one and only."

"For the record, you dumped him, you betrayed him, you didn't want to stay faithful to one man for the rest of your life so, you slept around so many guys and now you want him back. No, no one is taking away my best friend's happiness." Deon then takes a deep breath let go of Ames hands and turns around and opens the door to the hallway of the Infirmary.

" I think it's time for you to go home oh, and I don't mean the pack I mean home home. It's time for you to go back to your parents. I know your dad and my dad have been friends ever since we were young but that does not give you the right to intrude on my life like this and I add salt to the wound, you insulted my mate."

"How could I insult myself, that doesn't make any sense?"

" Sheila, get out before I do something I regret." She stands there in disbelief.

"Did you hear what you said, he said get out and I'm going to add one more thing to that, don't come back." She backs up as soon as she sees my claws starting to come out, and then as I move closer she begins to turn and run out the door into the hall and eventually she leaves.

I don't know what is up with the little popular girls, that's what they call themselves, and they think that they are entitled to just about everything.

"Go away, I already told you if you messed with my friend and her mate again I will hurt you and that is not a threat, it's a promise."

Okay I didn't really say that but I was thinking that. I opened the door and there is Kevin standing there with some flowers oh, but I'm not going to give him the satisfaction that I'm going to forgive him. So I walk out oh, I walked past him and don't look back. Anyone could understand my pain at this point and my frustration, how stupid can one be?

" Diamond please, all I need is one moment of your time. I have to explain." He says as he is chasing me down the hall. Finally he catches up to me and grabs my arm and Spins me around to face him.

" I already know why you left me for her, nothing you can say can make me forgive you, because I know as soon as I forgive you you're just going to go back to her and take care of her and the baby. You can't have it both ways, Kevin you want your cake and you want to eat it too but that's not going to happen. It's either me or Jen and her baby and from the looks of it, you already made your choice. You may believe in the promise that Jen would make sure that the Rogues wouldn't attack the realm anymore, but those Rogues are the very reason why your sister is in the hospital."

"It could have been somebody else."

"How could you be that stupid, and here I thought over the past month that I had through to you and you have changed for the better but I guess I was wrong. The rose told us that they wanted to get rid of all the outfits and living us starting with Deon's mother and father.

As soon as I found out what kind of deal you made with Jen I got the very upset and ran. Ames then came to find me but as we were walking back to the house, the Rogues appeared and attacked us."

"But, she promised that nothing would happen."

"And you believed her. Well that was stupid to do, even I knew as soon as I found out about the deal that Jen was going to take back her word. But, oh well you made your bed now you must lie in it." I began to walk away from him, just talking to him won't have any effect, but before I leave the infirmary I turn to him and say what might be my last words to Kevin. "Oh yeah, and as soon as the Elder Council finds out that you have rejected me yet again, I will become Alpha female, Anne's will become Luna of Deon's pack and you will have nothing, because trust and believe as soon as Jen has her baby she will figure out a way to leave you hanging. All she wants is power and all she wants is to make it seem like that everything is fine when in actuality everything is just beginning. Also remember, even the healthiest person she get into an accident." I leave to go back to the house and wait for any further news about Ames.

Nightfall comes and Deon is still by her bedside, I wish Kevin was like that but, he decided that he wants to take Jen back and raise her rushes in and like I think he believes that the baby is his because even though we have told him that no body other than your mate can get you pregnant he is starting to believe that that's his baby that he's raising. I don't know how to get him away from that. Or he might not be as stupid as I thought.

The next day

"Quick, Diamond we have to go another pack has been attacked and they're asking for our help." Deon rushes in and tells me, and I bet I know which pack it is. The next pack that's close to here, well they're actually four packs that are near here but only one of them only have Luna because the alpha sadly passed away. You have the Springridge pack which is just 5 minutes from here, you have the stone hook pack which is across the way from here just go over the pond. Then you have the Ice Stone pack which is on the other side of us oh, and I mean the house and finally you have the Polar Cube pack, I don't know why they are called back but, apparently they like it. The Ice Stone pack is the one where the alpha had just passed away from a heart disease, but the Luna has done very good in becoming Alpha female.

"Okay, let's go." Deon tells his mom to keep him updated on Ames condition.

We get to the pack and the amount of blood and death oh, it's uncanny. Luckily the alpha female has made it to safety and has managed to keep most of the back members safe, there are a few unlucky ones but other than that, it looks like the Rogues didn't do too much damage.

The rest of the warriors fend off the rest of the Rogues who are currently trying to attack a group of young pups. While myself and Deon go over to help the fighters who are trying to protect the pack.

"Well, that's one down and four more to go but, who's counting." After I get done dealing with the last Rogue, I see Jen in the woods talking to another Rogue. I go closer to over hear their conversation and it's just has I thought, she is faking her pregnancy. I knew something was up, well sooner or later he is going to find out but, am I willing to put my heart through that again. I mean I already been rejected by Kevin once and now twice, I'm just scared that if I go to him I will be rejected a third time.
