The Rare and Rejected Mate Chapter 15

Amber's P.O.V.

I'm alive and in a hospital bed. The last thing I remember is Dion finding me and then I blacked out oh, I hope those other girls got out as well. I tried to set up but find out that I can't. I have all these tubes and wires hanging from me with fluids oh, I look around and I see the other girls who were with me as well, they all came into my room to see how I was doing. I'm glad that they're safe yeah, that was my goal to get them out safe and to make sure that they can return to their families ok.

I feel bad for the girl they murdered and the one who died in the fire, all because she was scared to move.

"Ames, you're awake." I see Deon is right behind D as she semi hugs me. Deon comes around to the other side of my bed.

"I really missed you, we were all so worried."

"I'm fine and soon we can be together again, I want to go for a run when I get out of this hospital." Just then the doctor comes in and the girls wake up.

"Looks like someone is popular." I chuckle a bit. The nurses come in and escort the girls back to their rooms.

My parents come in after I send Deon home to get some rest and he also has some pack business to do, so he has gone back to handle that but, knowing him, he'll rush right through it just to come back and see me.

" Amber, we're glad that you're okay, we were so worried." I'm glad to see my parents are here but where is Kevin, I hope and pray to the Goddess that he is with D and not with Jen.

"Is it true that Jen is pregnant with Kevin's baby, I thought no one could get anyone else pregnant besides their mate."

Yeah, she claims that she is pregnant by him but she already found her mate, it's one of my trackers." Deon speaks in my head, even though he is handling his own business back at his pack he still finds a way to keep a hold of me and enter my every thought.

Deon just said that she found her mate and that's it's one of his trackers. My guess is the baby in her belly is his and she is just mad that he's not an alpha but Dion said that he is one of the best trackers there and plus he knows how to defend his own and he's a good provider.

Who would turn down a great guy like Austin, I mean he's not with the alpha and Luna training camp but I got to know him through Dion, and plus he is also a tracker for the training camp as well. I think Jen has everything wrong and like I said she just wants my brother for the title but now that my brother is with D then bye-bye Jen.

A few hours later, Dion comes back, just like I said he was going to rush through his work just so that he could see me. So when he comes into the room I instantly turn to my side as not to face him. I notice out the side of my eye that he is coming over to decide the bed where I turn to oh, well now I have to turn to the other side. This keeps going on for about a few seconds and then finally he leaves to go into my private restroom and I turned back over to the other side oh, but little do I know he comes up behind me and when I turned back over I'm instantly facing him.

"What are you doing here?" I asked him while looking upset.

"I finished my work early so I came to see you."

"No, you rush through your work so that you could come to see me. I don't want you to keep doing this you rushing through everything just to come to see me. You're an alpha you have a job to do, it's your job to lead your pack into further greatness. I don't want you to mess up anything."

"Amber, we are fine and besides the pack says they can't wait to meet you as soon as you get out of the hospital. After all, you will become my Luna and the mother of the pack so, they're excited."

"The thought of me becoming Luna is unreal, I thought that I would have to become Alpha since my brother had a girlfriend but oh, now that he has found his mate, she can become Luna and I can become yours. I just pray to God that. She-wolf of a skank, Jen, I pray that I never see her again because if I do, she will not be spared. I point to my face. She did this she's the one who kicked me in my side and who gave me black and blue eyes and a swollen lip."

"I know and believe me I did a good thing by sparing her life when I found out that she had you, all I could see was red but, I remember that you are a kind wolf and you probably wouldn't want me to do anything that I would regret. But Amber, at that time I felt rage and anger and I would have killed her without hesitation but then I will be tried by the Elders of the council."

"I'm glad that you didn't do it." Just then D comes in and she has tears In her eyes.

"What happened, is everything okay?" She falls to the ground, she becomes unconscious as I press the button for the nurses and doctor to come and help her up. They take her to another room and play her on the bed so that she can rest. I managed to get up after the doctors and nurses have taken out the tubes, but I still have wires running through me because I need fluids. I go to D's side and touch her side, I know who is doing this because only one kind of pain comes from our abdomen and that's if I made is doing something that he shouldn't suppose to be. Kevin how could you land her in the hospital. I tell Deon to go get the nurse.

I mind-link both Kevin and my parents and tell them to come to the hospital right away, we need to have a talk.

"So, do you mind telling me why is Diamond in the bed?" Kevin goes and sees that his mate is in a hospital bed and so do my parents, then they all come into my room and that's when we talk.

"Maybe because it has something to do with you and a certain someone who managed to do this to my body."

"Kevin, what is this? I thought it was over between you and her, you accepted Diamond even took back your rejection but now you pull some stunt like this. I'm very disappointed in you and what about Amber's feelings, now she has to become an alpha female because if you choose her you will lose your status and your title." My parents say as my mother she is just shocked and Kevin is taken aback by their words.

"Kevin, please tell me that this is not true, while I was kidnapped Jen told me that she was pregnant with your baby. I don't know what kind of hold she has over you to make you even want to even think about cheating on your mate, but you did and now you are going to have the pleasure of breaking her bubble and telling her that you cannot get her pregnant because you are not her mate." He has a total look of confusion on his face and I don't blame him when I found out, well I found out when I was 11 of course, I was shocked. "Only mates can get their mate pregnant they can get no one else pregnant so either she got pregnant by her mate and then rejected him or she's not pregnant at all and is just trying to hold this over you."

"I know Jen kidnapped you and she is said harsh things to you and to Diamond." I cut him off.

"Wait don't tell me that you are actually considering speaking nicely of Jen after all the stuff that she has done to me and to my best friend. I just can't, whatever she has a hold of you it needs to stop I don't know what it is but she has no power, she is not your mate and she needs to get it through her head and so do you. Besides I am not going to be Alpha female and if I forgo my title and you choose Jen that means, Diamond is automatically Alpha female because she is your mate and you rejected her so, the title goes to her." Just then the parents of the girls who died come into my room. They still don't know that their girls have died and it's my job to tell them I'm sure they will want to know how and why. How am I going to explain to one of the parents that the girl denied help and she died tragically?
