The Rare and Rejected Mate Chapter 24

Amber's P.O.V.

"You, leave my family and I will give you a comfortable life. I have money and plenty of it oh, enough for you and your baby, if there is one, to start a new life. One where you or your child wouldn't have to suffer."

"And why should I believe you?"

"It's something called to trust and besides I want you to leave my brother, I have never liked you because of what you've done to me and D and I know you've never liked me either but you will not ruin this family, you will not pin this baby on my brother. This realm we'll be rid of you, you will go to the Elders of the council and you will stand trial.

"But, my child needs a father and besides your brother wants to save this Realm but, I personally don't care for it the realm. I like the chaos, I was never one for rules or the word no but, I will take you up on your deal and I will take the money. But, I will not stand trial, as we speak the Rogues are planning their attacks now."

"Oh, we know, we got tipped off by some of your allies, who don't agree with your ways." The wolves come out and Jen is in total shock. "I think you recognize these guys well, they're the ones who turned you in, and now that we know where you are planning to strike next, we will be prepared."

"You guys are traitors,, I never met a bunch of rotten traitors in my life. Oh well, no matter what the world will still fall into chaos and there will be no more Alphas or Lunas or any packs for that matter." One of the wolves who look just like Jen speaks.

"Your plan will never work and you want to know why because all of the packs have been developed over the years and you don't have the manpower to take them down. Besides, maybe there is a reason why the moon goddess put order into the world so that it won't fall into chaos and confusion, if that were to happen then it would be like The Purge or Hunger Games where all crime is legal or you have to shoot your opponent in order to survive. I would not want to live in a world like that oh, so you can keep your chaos and confusion to yourself."

"But you are my sister you are supposed to go along with the plan that I designed for us so we can have a better world.

we are to avenge father."

"That may be your plan, but it's not mine. Father died because he did not listen to the rules and he violated them over and over again. What he did to get what he deserved was justified. The moon goddess only punishes those who need it and those who violate the law the Elders of the council also listen to the moon goddess." I step up and speak, although I feel like I'm breaking up a sisterly feud here.

' look, avenging your father is never the way to go. All you want is for the world to fall into chaos and for what because your father broke the law. If your father broke the law your father should be punished and looks like the Elders of the council listened to the moon goddess and he was. It's been years since your father was punished, it's time to let that go, I'm sure your father would want you to."

"YOU KNOW, IM TIRED OF YOU ALWAYS MEDDLING IN MY BUSINESS. FIRST IT WAS YOU NOT WANTING ME TO BE YOUR BROTHERS GIRLFRIEND AND THEN YOU JUST HAD TO HAVE SOMEONE FIND YOU WHEN I KIDNAPPED YOU AND NOW THIS. "She lunges at me but D stops her. D has shifted and now growls at her, gets up after being pushed off of me.

"AND I'M TIRED OF YOU ALWAYS GETTING INTO MY LIFE." She moves forward, and Jen backs up. "YOU TRIED TO DESTROY MY FAMILY, MY HAPPINESS. YOU TWISTED MY MATES MIND TO BELIEVE THAT HE NEEDS TO BE WITH YOU TO PROTECT US. YOU ARE BENT ON REVENGE AND I JUST WANT HAPPINESS BUT, YOU HAVE TRIED AND TRIED AGAIN TO DESTROY THAT HAPPINESS. BUT THERE'S ONLY ONE PROBLEM WITH THAT, IT'S MINE TO HAVE AND NO ONE IS GOING TO TAKE THAT AWAY FROM ME AGAIN." At this point, Jen has backed so far up that she is on the edge of a cliff overlooking a waterfall.

" Diamond, buddy, Amigo, sister, you wouldn't kill your best friend now would you?"

" I already have a best friend, and she would never put me through the kind of hell that you put me through. She would never mess with my family, she would never mess with the people I love."

"Your best friend she doesn't care about you, all she cares about is herself. She would rather have you die than become her sister-in-law. Kevin loves me, everyone loves me, you will always be the rare rejected mate. You might be a blue Diamondback wolf but I will always be number one in his heart. You will never be with him!!!" Kevin then comes forward and shocks everyone.

"You're wrong Jen, Diamond is everything. You will never replace her, I don't know why I have been so blind but, the girl I needed was always right in front of me the whole time. Yes, I was stupid, yes I was wrong to choose you over her. The moon goddess gave her to me for a reason and it took me until now to realize that will be my Luna and I will be the Alpha that she is always been looking for." Kevin then hugs D's wolf and at first, her wolf growls at him, as in to say back off, do not come near but, then she softens up and accepts him.

"NO, HE'S MINE AND MINE ALONE, YOU CAN'T HAVE HIM. IF I CAN'T HAVE HIM, NO ONE CAN. THIS REALM WILL PERISH, NO MORE PACKS, NO MORE ALPHAS, LUNAS, OR ELDERS." Just send a bunch of Rogues to come out of the woods and surround our house. My Dad then mind-links his beta and the others in the packhouse to come and in a few seconds, they are surrounded. My Dad then speaks.

"Give up Jen this is over, look oh, I know what happened to your dad was partially my fault but you should know, that he started it all on his own. No one had that idea but him. And so he got punished for his idea that he started on his own, yes I went along with it but I soon quickly realized before I went any further that it was wrong to do so."

" Dad, what are you talking about?"

"TELL THEM HOW YOU WERE THE CAUSE OF MY FATHER DYING!"

" your father and I were young and we were sent on a mission by our Alpha at the time. I didn't know that he would take it too far to where he would be punished for it oh, I knew what the consequences were and he knew as well but, he still went through with it."

"What did he do?"

"He killed one of the fairies in the fairy realm. At first, we were to just find the fairy who have turned bad, basically, a vampire had snuck into the fairy realm and convinced one of them to fall in love with him. The next thing you know the vampire bit the fairy and the fairy was locked up for her own good because they thought that he had turned her but, that wasn't the case. Jen's father killed her all because he saw the fairy and the vampire kissing and so he killed not only her but the vampire itself."

"THAT'S A LIE AND YOU KNOW IT."

IT'S THE TRUTH, I DON'T KNOW WHAT YOUR FATHER HAS TOLD YOU BUT, THAT IS HOW IT HAPPENED. HE TRIED TO PIN IT ON ME BUT, THE ELDERS AND THE MOON GODDESS FOUND OUT THAT HE DID IT. LITTLE DID HE KNOW THERE WAS A WITNESS. SO I'M SORRY THAT YOU ARE STILL HOLDING ON TO THIS HURT, BUT IT'S NOT GOING 5O BRING HIM BACK."

"But, he was your best friend and you let him die like that. If my friend was in trouble I would help my friend no matter what." Dad takes us steps towards her.

"And I did I tried to help him oh, I pleaded with him so many times not to go through with it we were just supposed to bring the ferry and the vampire back to trial so that the Elders of the council and the moon goddess could judge them fairly and give them a right to a fair trial but, he didn't want that and so he released his wolf and went on the rampage and killed them"
