The Rare and Rejected Mate Chapter 27

Ames arrives and so does the rest of the pack once again Jen and her robes are outnumbered and it looks like that she might lose but according to her she would say if she had the upper hand.

"Come out and play, my Rouges and I just wanna talk that's all." More explosions go off as we realize that they are coming from inside the restaurant, Apparently, one of the Rogues has disguised himself as one of the kitchen cooks and has just set the fryer off in the kitchen, and now it's on fire.

Kevin helps me up and gives me a quick peck on the cheek and tells me whatever happens just know that I've always cared for you. He goes out to confront Jen and I follow but I stay a little bit of a distance.

"Is this what you wanted Jen, is this going to make you happy. This is not going to bring your father back. Okay then, he is dead, he is no more, but he does live in your heart and that's all that matters. Do you think that he would actually appreciate you destroying half the realm to avenge his death? Look, I'm sorry for what happened to your dad but, what's your dad did was wrong and he got what he deserved. Anyone who wrongs the moon goddess deserves to be punished and, depending on the crime the punishment can range from banishment to death.

"Don't do this, think of your child, or if you're really even pregnant."

"Why don't you look at her she's standing right here, come meet your child, Kevin, she looks just like you." The little girl runs up to Kevin and puts his arms around him while calling him daddy. I take one good look at her and I know that she looks nothing like Kevin as I suspected and because no one can get you pregnant besides your mate.

He runs out of the restaurant to me and I look not too far ahead and see Deon, his Beta and two of his trackers coming with him to help.

" Jen, this baby looks nothing like my brother. Are you sure this baby isn't Austin?" She looks shocked but I know that she has a mate. "Cut the crap Jen we all know that you have a mate otherwise you could have possibly gotten pregnant. Everyone in the realm knows that no one can get you pregnant unless you have a mate, he or she is the only one that you can have a baby with."

"She runs up to Kevin and tries to embrace him but, I stop her. Her daughter then comes up and pushes him back pinches my leg. She then runs up to Ames and tries to punch her but, Ames puts out her hands and knocks her back against a tree. I know it's wrong but, I can't help but laugh, she had it coming to her.

" Jen, your daughter ever tries to hit me again, and I will do more than just push her back against the tree, and that's a promise. My own eat your children will learn how to respect and others, I will not have my children disobey me or shame themselves in front of everyone. Teach your daughter some respect, I think I know what's wrong and why she is like this. She needs her father in her life and by you keeping him away from her she is going to be missing out on a lot of things that you can't teach her."

Austin then steps forward and is shocked when he sees the little girl, who is basically just a spitting an image of him. All it takes is for the little girl to just look at him once and she knows that Austin is her father and that her mother has lied to her for the past 8 years.

Okay, maybe I should explain about the whole child pregnancy thing so here goes. A werewolf pregnancy is not like a human pregnancy, a human gives pregnant for nine months a werewolf gets pregnant for six months, and then goes to have the baby. When the child is born humans go from year to year to year getting older by a year whereas in werewolves we get older by so basically 2 months equals 2 years in the Werewolf Realm. In the Human Realm, 12 months equals a year for a human child and so, therefore werewolves grow at a lightning-fast rate.

"Don't tell my daughter that, he doesn't deserve to be my child's father. What has he ever done for her, he hasn't even seen her or watched her grow up, and besides he's all about good and peace not Revenge, we would totally not work out together."

"Because revenge is not the only way to live and besides you are only ashamed of Austin because he's not an Alpha."

"Doesn't matter anyway because, soon there will be no more Alphas, no more Lunas, no more anyone, this world will start anew without you in it." Austin then picks his daughter up and walks back to the truck they came in and puts her in, he then gets in the driver seat and just sits there.

"Give up Jen, it's over."

"NEVER!!!!!! ATTACK!!!!!!" The Rogues begin to attack and are quickly strapped down by our best warriors and Fighters.

All you see is fighting from both sides, good and evil. Jen then tries to sneak away but, Ames and I quickly go and stop her, while Deon goes to the packhouse in case she sent any of the Rogues ahead of her. Kevin follows us after killing about a dozen Rogues.

"You regin of terror stops here, Jen. It doesn't have to be this way."

"Yes, it doesn't but, my father's death didn't have to be either and once I'm finished with you and your father, then I will deal with the Elders of the Council.

"You're crazy."

"NOPE, YOU ARE FOR THINKING THAT YOU ALL CAN STOP ME." She runs towards me and mid-shifts in the air, thinking she is going to catch me by surprise but, no Kevin jumps in front of me.

"ENOUGH OF THIS, JEN STOP!! EVERYONE WAS RIGHT ABOUT YOU BUT, I DIDN'T WANT TO SEE OR BELIEVE IT, NOW I SEE WHO YOU REALLY ARE AND FOR THAT YOU HAVE TO ATTONE FOR YOUR CRIMES. YOU WILL BE BROUGHT TO THE ELDERS AND STAND TRIAL FOR YOUR ATTEMPTED MURDER ON MY SISTER, MY PARENTS, THE TWO GIRLS YOU ACTUALLY KILLED, AND DIAMONDS LIFE." I'm glad that Kevin is finally not taking any more of Jen's bullcrap and is finally standing up for himself, it's about time. Then pulls out a gun from her backpack oh, and if anyone knows where wolves they know that bullets cannot harm us in a sense of actually killing us unless, they have silver in them which judging by the silver around the tip of the gun and by the amounts of it oh, it could kill us.

We all see the gun and everyone freezes even the Rogues who are fighting on genocide and they're shocked at what they see. I don't think their plan was to kill anyone, I think that day. The alphas and the Lunas and everyone who Jen was mad at were just going to apologize and surrender their title over to her. But I don't think they actually thought that Jen would kill people. A few of the Rogues that came with her now begin to back away from her and surround us but, Jen is always one step further. All of the sudden something goes off in their neck and........

Their heads explode off of their bodies and there was enough silver in their body to kill them. Jen then points the gun at me.

"SEE KEVIN, THIS IS WHAT YOU MADE ME DO, ALL OF THIS COULD HAVE BEEN AVOIDED AND NOBODY HAD TO DIE IF IT WASN'T FOR HER!" She pulls the trigger and the gun goes off, and I brace my fate but, then I'm knocked to the ground.

I wake up in a hospital bed and doctor after doctor and nurse after nurse run into a room and blood is spilling on the floor and I hear the announcement of code blue, code blue. I get up and walk out of my room and down to the room where all the chaos is going on.

"We will do everything in our power to save him, don't worry, we will do our best." I walk in the room and see Alpha, Luna, and Ames, she spots me and hugs me.

"Is Kevin alright?" She doesn't answer. "Is he alive?"

"Yes but, barely hanging on." The doctors come over and......

"We did our best and now, it's up to him and his wolf." We then hear a beep and then flatlined. Ames stumbles to the ground, Luna collapses, and Alpha holds his wife in his arms. I walk over to his bed and kiss him before walking out. Once outside the door, I slid to the ground and let it all out, before turning my head back in the room, hoping that he would come back. The doctors and nurses rush in and they try to bring him back but, to no avail. I walk in the room, back to his side and all I hear is sobs, the machine is disconnected and the lines are out of his arms.

"Kevin, come on we need to finish our date............. You promised that this time would be different. .............Please, get up, I want you to kiss me again like we did last year on my birthday.

Look I still have the necklace.

Kevin, come on.

Get out of bed.

How can you run a pack from your bed, that's not how an Alpha runs things."

The people from the funeral home come to take him, they cover him.

"No, no, he's not dead. He's alive I tell you. KEVIN, WAKE UP, KEVIN WAKE UP, COME ON LET'S GO." Ames walks over to me and grabs my shoulders and holds me.

A few weeks later

"I hereby pass my Alpha title to Diamond Feliam Johnson." The former Alpha says as he passes me the title in front of everyone.

Deon and Ames got married and are now expecting twins, I am now the Alpha female for the pack and as for Jen, she has gone to trial for her crimes and it has been determined that she gets life without parole and maybe death. In the end, I may have lost a mate but oh, I have gained a title and a pack that loves me and cares for me. Maybe One Day the moon goddess will look upon me and give me a second chance mate like Ames, but for now, I'm content right where I am.
