The Rare and Rejected Mate Chapter 23

Amber's P.O.V

"What do you mean Jen has met her mate?"

"His name is Austin, he's one of the guys who helped find you and he's also one of Glaze Ridge pack best trackers. Apparently when he saw her, she went on and on about how sorry she was for rejecting him and she didn't want to hear any of it."

"So, because he wasn't an alpha that's what made her seduce you and eventually to trap you with his baby, Austin have to know this. It's his child that is going to be brought into this world and she doesn't want him to be a part of the child growing up, that's crazy."

"There may also be the possibility of her not being pregnant, Deon or Diamond told me they overheard a conversation between Jen and another wolf, that she may just be using this as an excuse to blackmail me. At first I didn't want to believe it now but, it's becoming more of a reality"

" I wouldn't be surprised if that turned out to be true. This may be just another one of her tricks to manipulate you into taking her back."

"Well if this is another trick that she decides to pull off then this time it will be for real and I will never forgive her but, if it's not then I still feel that I should be responsible for her and the child since I do love her." He did not just say that he love her, after all that she's done to not only myself but in my family and especially to D, she's the last person who deserves to be loved by my brother.

"I know you didn't say what I think you said, you love her still, after all she has done to me, you, our parents and D. How dare you say you love her. D is right to refuse your apology, you're heart is still with Jen and not with her."

"I just don't feel the same when I'm with D like I am with Jen."

"So the whole time, we were close, you were lying?" We look at the doorway and see D there. "You messed with me, faking like you wanted to be with me and love me, when all this time she still has your heart."

"Not to mention, you played Mom and Dad like fools as well." Kevin turns around and looks at me he has done nothing wrong. "And

Yet, you aren't sorry for what you've done to us and to her. Well, then be prepared to lose everything because of YOUR choice." And with that D and I walk out of the room. We go downstairs and find the door open and blood tracks leading outside.

"Get off our land, Rouges. Your place is not here, turn back to where you came from."

"We came to warn you" They had my Dad a piece of paper, he reads it. "What is this, a simple map?"

"Those red circles are where the weakest packs are and the x's are the strongest. I managed to get this from our leaders office and he wants therealm is total chaos allowing wolves to roam free without any order or restriction and soon after he conquers this realm, the others will be next and then the world."

"Yes, we are aware of that but, why give us this?"

"Some of us don't agree with him and want to see him stopped at any and all cost."

"How can I trust this and you?" My Dad says while holding the piece of paper, he hands it to Mom and she whispers in Dad's ear. "My wife thinks that you are sincere and since it is getting late, you all can stay in the pack guest house for the night."

It's 3 in the morning and like alwaysI end up wide awake for an after midnight snack when I overhear my parents talking.

"Honey, I think we should warn the other packs."

"What if it's a trap, then what?" I would be walking this pack into that trap."

"But, then again what if it's not and we leave those packs to bear the brunt of the attacks oh, we would never forgive ourselves, you would never forgive yourself."

" I know, in the morning I will hold a pack meeting and I will send four to each of the different packs to warn them about the upcoming attacks and to possibly give them advice and help them on defending themselves. Also some of my Warriors will be training the Warriors of the weaker packs so that they can be ready."

"Glad we got that settled, now what do we do about our son?"

"You mean about Jen and the baby, our son should be smarter than this and he should know that it's not his baby. But then again our son isn't the brightest in the bunch, he might be taking pity upon her."

"Well, that's for sure because it can't be anything else we know that he is in love with Diamond, my future daughter-in-law, my only daughter-in-law. I just hope that that make up soon, they need to stop this fighting and whatever my son did she needs to forgive him so that they can make this work. While they are separate they are no good they are weak links that are struggling to find that power source but, if they are together then they are the strongest ever and nothing can stop them oh, nothing will stop them."

"Tell that to our son because, Amber told me that Kevin has been playing us the whole time meaning that he still loves Jen." Mom then gets up and I hear footsteps coming towards the door so I move out the way just in time for her to come flying out the room and upstairs to Kevin's room. "KEVIN, WAKE UP AND WHY IS SHE HERE?"

" Mom, what's wrong?"

"Why is this whore still here? When the one who should be here is Diamond my daughter-in-law, my only daughter-in-law." Mom then turns to her and grabs her by her hair and yanks are out of bed. You, shouldn't be here, that place is reserved for my daughter-in-law which is not you and will never be you so, you and your bastard baby can we leave. You are not going to pin this baby on my son, we all know that we cannot have children with anyone else besides our mate." She looks at my mom with a look of shock but, almost like a I'm not going anywhere face."

"He does not want me to leave so, I'm here to stay. He did not want that other girl so, here I am and trust me I fulfill all his needs."

"Oh, so you are crazy basically. My daughter-in-law is kind, she's courteous, she never backs down from anything, and he is and will be my daughter-in-law. So you can try and say that you are going to be in this family but, I will never accept you, I know Amber will never accept you and my husband will never accept you. You might be accepted by Kevin but that's all the acceptance that you are going to get from this family. And by the way if you are with Kevin because of the title, once he announces that he is going to stay with you the titled becomes null and void meaning he will not have access to that title when my husband retires, it will go to my daughter."

"But your daughter has a mate and she is already going to become his Luna plus she has no desire to be Alpha female."

"Well then if that happens and since my daughter does not want to be off of female then it will go to my son's mate, she will then be Alpha female."

"That's right, I hereby forego my future title of Alpha female if my brother is not willing to take his mate then the title shall go to her. All three of them turned towards me in the doorway. "Like you said Jen, since I am going to be my mates Luna and I am not willing to be alpha female, it is only right that the title be passed on to my brother's mate. That's the way the Elders of the council would want it so, I'm just going along with their law. So if you were hoping that by gaining your way into my brother's heart you was going to become Luna of this is pack, it's the opposite he is going to lose everything because he chose you. I don't care what kind of blackmail you put in my brother oh, but a lot of innocent lives are at stake I will make a deal with you. Interested to know what it is?"
