The Rare and Rejected Mate Chapter 21

Diamond's P.O.V.

In an instant the pack house is up in flames and then another explosion goes off. We all race towards the house and see the roof has collapsed in on itself. We rushed over to help whoever is inside, we hear voices coming from the top floors and even in the basement. Deon goes in and just rips the floorboard off of one wolf and tears through a curtain to get to some pups who are hiding because they are just scared. Meanwhile I go upstairs to see who's left and what I see is a disaster area, it looks like a war zone. Dead bodies left and right from the explosion oh, this one girl, she couldn't be no more than 16 or 17 she has a piece of glass and her chest and coming out her back. This other boy has his leg pinned under a two by four and then his head is smashed in as well, it's a gruesome scene. Then I see the Beta he is dead as well.

I go down to the basement where Deon is and I see the Alpha female and she's trying to set the prisoners free in the dungeon before the fire spreads down there as well. She manages to get a few of them free before the smoke becomes more intense and the Flames grow bigger and bigger and more fierce.

Soon I hear creaking and I look over head and apparently someone tried to put out the flames by using the water from the bathtub and the sink, the bad part is they left it on and now the water spilled on the floor and it's creating a leak and at least getting bigger and bigger.

"Watch out, Deon look above you." He moves out of the way before the roof collapses trapping the Alpha female and myself on one side of the dungeon and Deon and a few other prisoners on the other. The smoke is getting heavier and more intense as the minutes, the seconds tick by.

I find a wet towel that has come from the room above us which happens to be a bathroom and since the towel is already soaked we can drape that over myself and the Alpha female to protect us until we can find an exit. After a few minutes we end up finding the exit buy a little crack in the wall and unfortunately the Flames are growing closer and closer towards us. What I don't see is that the alpha female she pushes me out, meanwhile leaving herself to be trapped inside. I reach for her hand and she starts to hold it out but, she then retracts it and says, I rather be with my mate, I want to see him. With those last words the whole house collapse and she dies instantly.

Most of the pack is outside in the field, well sadly the rest of the pack about 659 of them have died due to the fire or they were killed by the Rogues, which is kind of the same thing because the Rogues actually did set the fire.

Deon and the other prisoners are out comforting the pack members who just lost their Alpha. So, what does Deon does, he offers them to either for them to go back to their parents packs or to join his pack.

A week has passed and I am still hasn't woken up comedy on has been by her side ever since we've came back from helping the other pack. I love how he is so attentive to her even as she is unconscious. Some of the pack members have taken up on Deon's offer and some have joined his pack but others have decided to go their separate ways a few of them have decided that they want to be on their own, and that's perfectly fine.

I am currently in the hospital room with Ames, the infirmary had to move her to the Werewolf National, they had more medicine and fluids, plus she would be a lot safer. The she-wolf called Sheila has not left and she has been trying when Deon but, he is so into my best friend right now that every other girl who tries to come at him, and trust me there are many, they are irrelevant to him and the only one in his eyes is Ames.

" Deon, she's awake!" I walk into the lobby and I see him getting some flowers from the florist and bringing them to Ames room. As soon as he realizes what I said, he comes running to her room and he tears up. He is so relieved to see that she has made it through.

"Deon, hi." She looks around and notice that she's not in Deon's house. "Where am I?"

"You lost Consciousness, you've been in a coma for about a week. Do you remember anything?"

" well, the last thing I remember is that you ran out of the house and I was looking for you and then a bunch of Rogues came and try to fight us." She stops mid-sentence and has thinking moment. "That little tramp, she sent those Rogues."

My mother than mind links me and tells me that the Rogues are planning to attack the pack, they have already kidnapped a few pups and unfortunately the next day they turned up dead. Okay, now she is going a bit too far, make that a lot too far.

I was fine when she was just wanting to attack the surrounding packs and just to make chaos and confusion happen in the realm but, now she is attacking and kidnapping young pups.

"Guys, my mother just mind-link me and told me that Jen has kidnapped some pups from the pack."

"Where is she, it's time to end this and you need to take your rightful place as Luna. I don't care what deal Kevin has made with Jen and what emotions he has towards her and the baby but, he needs to put all his attention on you. That is not his child, she is not his problem anymore because she's the one who cheated on him not the other way around and besides, you are his mate, his one and only, the one that the Moon Goddess chosen specifically for him. I know my brother can be especially stupid sometimes and totally dent but, this half to make him deal with the consequences of dealing with someone who is literally killing others just so that she can have gratification of stroking her ego."

She tries to get up out of her bed but, Deon stops her and tells her to rest. Just then the doctor and the nurses come in to check up on her and of course she asked could she go home a day earlier. My best friend just got out of a coma and she's already asking cuz she go home oh, I don't need her to faint or collapse any more she needs to get better so that we can deal with what we need to deal with and so that I can become Luna of the Silverstone pack and she can become Luna of Deon's pack.

We've been here or knock on the border of the door and we all turned towards the door, her parents have come to visit. Of course I had to notify them, their only daughter was just kidnapped a few weeks ago and now she fainted because of a rogue attack.

" Mom, Dad, what are you doing here?"

" Diamond called us well actually, she mind-link us and told us that you guys were attacked. Do you know who attacked you?"

"Take a wild guess, it's her."

" well, things hit home have gotten awkward. Kevin wants to spend all his time with Jen and the baby because he is afraid that if he is gone for even more than a second that she would get upset because of her raging hormones."

"Ha, raging hormones my foot. She's not even pregnant."

Her parents look at me and Deon.

" It's true mr. And mrs. Richards, she is faking her pregnancy. Everyone knows that you cannot get pregnant unless you are pregnant by your mate. It has been like that for years and it's not going to change now I mean unless scientist come up with a way to engineered so that we can become pregnant with someone outside of our mate but, that's not going to happen anytime soon. Deon explains to her parents while rubbing thr back of Ames hand.

A few days later, Ames is discharged from the hospital finally and is ready to go home. Deon gets the rest of her stuff and pack it in the suitcase to bring it out to the car so that we can go home. We walk outside trouble never stays away, no matter how hard you try.
