The Rare and Rejected Mate Chapter 12

Deon's P.O.V.

"Deon.......Deon are you okay?" I go into Ames room and see her crying.

"I'm fine."

"We'll find her, don't worry. Plus Ames has always been a tough one, she has either tried to think of a plan or escaped. Ames had always been like that, she's always determined about anything she does. I remember one time when we were little in grade school and some mean boys locked us in the gym closet, I was scared but, she stayed calm. It must have been a few minutes and she figured out how to pop the hinges using a light bulb shard from the bulb in the gym light and she got us out of there."

"What happened to the boys?"

"They were suspended for 2 weeks and then eventually expelled, they set fire to the principal's car. the day they came back from their suspension." She gets up from the sofa and walks to the window. "Ames may seem like she can hold her own but, she is sometimes fragile and scared even though she never shows it. Who could blame her, after all, she watched her first mate die." I turn towards her on the bed, staring at her frame in the window.

Kevin comes into the room and sits n the sofa, his wounds are healing nicely and his leg has totally healed. Diamond heads over to the sofa to sit next to him and grasps his hand into hers.

"Diamond, what happened with her first mate?" She begins to speak.

"Well, she was his student, they met while she was in college and they had a beautiful relationship for 2 years and then one night, everything changed for her. He was murdered and when they called her, his throat was slashed and he was shot as well before he died he told her to be happy. She puts on a brave face because she doesn't want to let people see her as weak."

"I still can't believe my sister never told me about her first mate and we're twins."

"Well, twins don't always have to see everything."

"Twins on Tik Tok do." Diamond sees him pouting and she rubs his knee.

"Don't worry Deon, they'll find her, I'm sure of it."

Dingdong

The doorbell rings and we hear the door being opened by the Luna and then it goes quiet."

I get up to open the door and see the Luna on the ground not moving.

"What's happening Deon?"

"It's your Mom, she's not moving, let me go check." As soon as I reach the top of the stairs, I see blood coming out of her.

"KEVIN, DIAMOND, GET THE DOCTOR!!!!" Both of them immediately run downstairs, Diamond on the phone with the doctor, Kevin comes to check if his Mom is still alive.

"The blood stained the bottom of his shoe, he couldn't have gotten far." All I have to do is follow the prints and hopefully, not only will I find the attacker but maybe Amber as well. Alpha Richards then comes pulling his car in the driveway and opens the car door, stops the car, and runs to his wife."

"SARAH, SARAH WHAT HAPPENED, SARAH ANSWER ME!" Tears are streaming down his face.

"Th----the-----they h-------h-----have-------Amber." Before Alpha gets an answer from his wife, she goes unconscious, and soon we are all in the hospital.

"She lost a lot of blood and she is now in a coma, I am so sorry Alpha." And with those last words the doctor leaves out followed by the nurses and the process of trying to get her to wake up begins. Funny how her attacker knew that she would be home without the Alpha, and why was she just attacked and not us. As an attacker I would think that they would want to go through the house to make sure that no one else was home before they try to rob the place or anything. This all seems weird like this is hacker just wanted one thing and that was to incapacitate the Luna.

I think that both a kidnapping and Luna stabbing has something in common and if I'm right this person has a lot to pay for.

Kevin and I go back to the scene of the crime, the front door of the house. Please find the footprints of the attacker stained with blood and we sniff to see if we can find the owner of these footprints. Kevin then draws an outline of where his mother fell after being stabbed. The knife was an ordinary kitchen knife oh, and I'm not talking about those real big knives that look like an odd triangle I'm talking about the one with the funny edges. It's almost as if this attack was planned and that the attacker wanted to send a message because not too far away from where I found the knife I found a note.

Soon it is the late evening and we all just finished having dinner, and so after we take our dessert and go towards the living room to discuss what we are to do next.

" Alpha, I think you should read this." I hand the note to the alpha he hesitates opening it, it's almost as if he doesn't want to. He hands the note back to me and asks me to read it.

"Dear Alpha and Luna Richard, I have your daughter. If you want to see her alive again you will tell all the alphas and to follow my plan. I will first start with you guys because the Elder Council needs time to prepare for what's to come. Don't worry your daughter is safe for now if you do not listen to my demands then I will have no choice than to cut one of her pretty little fingers from her pretty little hands and then if nothing happens then I will have no choice but to kill her and the others. You have Forty-Eight Hours to decide if not then I wonder which finger will she lose first, I will send one of my men to hear your answer. P.S after we are done with all the Alphas and Lunas and we successfully get rid of them the blue diamondback wolf is next!"

"So let me get this straight, their plan is to cause chaos and confusion by getting rid of all the Alphas and Lunas among the various packs. That's not a very good plan and then they said they're going to come after me, I'm sorry but have they not met my best friend. I mean she's pretty strong and so is my mate and this family, they will fight for me with every breath in their body. The audacity of them to think that they can just do what they want and have no consequences. Have they not met the council and have they not met your father Deon because if they did then they wouldn't be so cocky right now."

"Not to change subjects, well I kind of am but, it's funny how Amber she didn't mind link us when she got kidnapped and she still hasn't."

It's as if Kevin and Diamond have had an aha moment. " Wolfsbane oh, they must have injected her with it that's why she can't communicate with any of us."

"Wolfsbane isn't supposed to be that bad it just incapacitates you for a few hours"

Yeah, it's supposed to but, a is kind of allergic to wolfsbane meaning she loses the ability to be a werewolf for a day or longer depending on how much wolfsbane she has in her. It's a rare ailment that only two people have had and she just happens to be the third person that has it."

Knock

Knock

I stand up and look good in people, and lo and behold I see the skank whose name is Jen. I don't know what she has done with Amber but believe me, I will find out for no one messes with my maid and gets away with it. Whatever she's thinking of doing to the werewolf from it is not going to happen she may be 10 steps ahead but there always be a great fall after what she thinks is her triumphant victory. I have a good mind to not open the door but, this is not my house and the alpha nods his head and motions for me to open the door.

As soon as I open the door, she leaps and to Kevin's arms and diamond just goes into the kitchen and gets a bottle of wine. Trust me she is going to need it nothing good can come of this girl and I only met her a few days ago.

"Baby, did you tell them the good news of us. We are back together, and soon we will be a family oh, you me and the baby."
