Fell In Love With My Roomy Chapter 130

I turn on the taps over the bath, letting nice warm water run into it. I add some body wash left on the side rail of the tub along with more neutral bath essentials. It was always ready for someone to drop by and stay.

I go back out to grab my toiletries out of my suitcase, and I smile, seeing Kent in the corner on his laptop. It was in moments like this when I could really overdo it and see us together for a really long time; I wanted moments like this forever.

I give him a brief wave, blowing him a kiss, and then I head back to the bathroom. I rest the door on its latch and pull off my clothes, looking at the inviting bathwater.

I take off my jewelry and tie my hair up in a loose bun this time, walking over and turning off the water. I test it out with my hand, and I grin at how nice it seems.

Then I walk over and dim the lights, hurrying back over to the tub, easily settling into the warm water and laying my head back on the bath pillow. I couldn't believe how well stocked this bathroom was, but then again they probably knew we were coming and stocked it for us.

I close my eyes, taking easy breaths and feeling myself relax; I was full of stress after agreeing to this trip, and I was really trying not to do anything that might upset him. But this was so nice, it was fixing all of my problems.

After a few minutes, I hear the squeaking of floorboards in the hallway and the door opening. I squint my eyes open and see Kent coming in quietly.

"Hey!" I whisper, and he chuckles.

"Hey," he shrugs. "How would you feel about me joining you?" He asks, reaching down to take off his sweater, and I smile.

"I'd really like that," I answer easily, and he nods, undoing his pants. I settle back into the bubbles, closing my eyes again, and after a few seconds, I feel him tap my arm.

"Slide forward," he says softly, and I nod, sitting up completely and scooting way ahead in the tub. I hear his feet stepping into the water, and I feel his large frame sitting down behind me.

"Jeez," he hisses. "You couldn't be laying in hotter water," he insists, and I laugh, rolling my eyes.

"It's winter, I want to be warm," I protest, turning my head to see his eyes, and he smirks, reaching forward to grab my hips and yanking me back towards him. His legs outside of my own, and I lay on his chest, feeling a huge smile break out onto my face.

"Is this okay?" He asks, and I nod with a grin.

"I love this," I whisper back, placing my hands over his own, lacing our fingers together. He nods and leans in, pressing his lips to my temple. His arms wrap around me, and I grin, feeling totally safe.

"You know, I don't think I've ever even taken a bath in here," he says with a shrug.

"What a waste," I roll my eyes. "It's a beautiful tub, if I had this at home, I'd use it all the time."

"Mmm, and I'd use it with you," he whispers, and I roll my eyes. "Could you imagine something like this in our place?"

"Kyle and Mark wouldn't be fans," I whisper back, and he nods with a chuckle.

His breathing calms a bit, and the two of us settle into easy silence, feeling his hands trace up and down over my thighs. This was so nice, it was one of those things I never knew I was missing or that I wanted. I'd never thought seriously about being in a relationship before moving in with him, even then I wasn't too sure. Now if anything changed, my heart would break. It was so nice to have him there at the end of long days, to know that he cared about me.

I'd never wanted a relationship much before because I was surrounded by love all the time. My family and friends loved me unconditionally, so I never sought it out from a different source. While things weren't always easy with Kent, now he only contributed to how loved I felt. But it was in a different way than anyone else loved me; it was in an all-consuming way, and that felt incredibly special.

"This wasn't a bad idea," he says quietly, and I smile, feeling his nose brush over my cheek.

"I thought it would be relaxing," I shrug, taking his hands back in mine. "How are you doing? With... everything?" I ask slowly, trying not to set him off or upset him. He hates being put on the spot about his feelings.

"I'm okay," he answers, which surprises me. He shrugs nonchalantly, and I turn my head a bit to look at him. "I am," he assures me, and I nod.

"You don't have to be if you're really not," I remind him, squeezing his hands. "You can tell me anything."

"I know that," he says with a brief smile, and I grin, watching him slowly lean in and press his lips to my forehead. "No, I really am. I... I don't feel anywhere near as stressed out as I usually do before I come here. Maybe that's just because mom and dad aren't here right now, but everything's fine."

"Good," I answer. "Because I happen to love you, a whole lot." He chuckles a bit, and I smile.

"I love you too," he whispers. "How are you doing?"

"I'm just fine," I assure him. "I was more nervous before we came, actually."

"Why?"

"I don't know... I think I was thinking about the last few times we'd been here and... well, anyway, I keep reminding myself that we didn't know each other as well as we do now, then," I explain, and he nods. "And that we can handle this. I've already met your parents, and I know that you making this trip is a big deal."

"Sure," he shrugs.

"And that means so much to me," I whisper, bringing my hand up to touch the side of his face. "Because I know you hate flying almost as much as you hate being here, the fact that you want to do that for me... because you want to be totally open, is huge, baby. If you want that, then there's no reason for me to be nervous or stressed out."

He nearly cuts me off with a kiss, and I grin, pressing my lips to his. It was a bit awkward given that we were both facing the same way, so I had to tilt my head to the side and turn it towards him, but it was amazing.

He pulls back, letting my forehead fall against his, and I press my lips together, holding back a smile.

"I do," he says, and I open my eyes, wondering what he means. "I want to be totally open with you, Juls. I know for a long time whenever you asked me questions I'd shut down or worse, get angry with you.

But... I'm different now. I want you to know me."

I blink, and without saying anything else, he kisses my cheek and slides out of the tub, standing up. I furrow my eyebrows, feeling a little confused and abandoned all at the same time. But his hand reaches out for mine, and I blink, standing up out of the tub. I feel a bit unsteady on my feet, but his hands hold mine tightly, helping me stand and step out.

He grabs two towels, putting one around his waist and wrapping the second one around me, pressing yet another one of those evil forehead kisses onto my skin.

"Come with me," he whispers, and I nod, walking to the bedroom with him. His tone is serious but sincere; that only means one thing; he's about to tell me something.

He lets me dry off and pull on some comfortable clothes while he does the same. Then he takes my hand and walks the two of us with wet hair down the hall.

This house is so beautiful, marble floors, crown moldings, gorgeous art on every wall. I'd love to have one like it one day, well... maybe a smaller version of it anyway.

We go down the main staircase and down a hall off the foyer. It's full of random rooms, and the one at the end of the hall is closed off with a set of double doors.

Kent puts a series of numbers into the keypad on the handle, and it beeps, granting him access. I feel a bit like I'm in a spy movie or something; this feels a little intense.

Inside is a desk and... a bunch of wall safes. This is getting weirder and weirder.

"Where are we?" I ask, crossing my arms, and Kent flicks on the lights. "This is where we keep things that need security," he answers calmly, like every house had some serious room like this full of locked steel boxes. "Our staff don't have the code."

"This is a little intense," I mumble, and he nods, looking like he very much agreed. "Why are we in here?"

He walks up to a safe on the wall and points to it. "This one's mine," he answers, and I walk to the edge of the desk in the middle of the room, perching myself on the edge. "When we moved into our teens, Dad gave me and Cali each a safe. He told us that our family was powerful, that there would be things people would want to get ahold of to try and mess with us. He told us to put anything we wanted to be secure in here."

"Woah," I mumble, and he nods, turning the dial on the small safe on the wall.

"There's one for each of us, one Mom and Dad share, one for money and other stuff like that, and all of Mom's jewelry is in a fancy one in their closet upstairs," he explains, opening his door. "It was intended to be a safety blanket. None of us were meant to know the combinations to each other's safes."

I don't know what to say; this is wild and completely strange. But... I guess it makes sense. If your family has as much to lose as his does, you'd do whatever you could to keep it safe.

"What's in yours?" I ask quietly, and he smirks.

"Not much," he whispers, shaking his head. "A couple of bad report cards, a report from my school that I'd been aggressive on the field, and one more warning would mean suspension, a few parking tickets that I didn't want my parents to see... just stuff like that," he shrugs, pulling out the tray and setting it on the desk. "You can look at it if you want to."

He sets it down beside me on the desk, and I look through it. Not much of it was anything too bad. It was all stuff you'd expect to see from a young teenage boy. But it seemed more like stuff he was trying to hide from his parents.

"There's a couple of pictures off disposable cameras, me doing... stuff," he says vaguely, and I find the envelope. It's what I expect, him drinking and holding a bong.

"Stuff?" I tease, and he smirks a bit. "You were sixteen; this stuff doesn't make you a monster."

"No, I know that," he says, and I gather it all back up into the tray, passing it back to him. "That's not really why I brought you in here. I just... thought I'd show you."

"I appreciate that," I whisper, and he nods, putting it away and closing his safe. "What's up?" I ask quietly, and he sighs, going to a different safe beside his, twisting a new combination and it cracks open. "I thought you said you only knew your combination."

"I said that was the intention," he clarifies. "This one's Cali's; we became each other's fail-safe," he whispers, and I nearly gape at how much stuff is inside of it. "This is the only thing I've never told you."

My lips part, and I feel a nervous rush go through my chest in realization. He's going to talk about Cali.
