Fighting Spirit Series Chapter 60: Shower

**Jack:**

Sitting in my silent office failing horribly at focusing on clan business.

Mei has been in her dream coma for two days now, if it were not for Lexi installing full video and audio of Mei, I would be pacing around the room, jumping at every sound she made.

Seeing her thrashing, crying in her sleep hurt deeply knowing there was nothing we could do, but try to calm her down.

“Jack?” Derek’s voice broke through the silence on the speakerphone.

“Yeah, I am here.” I replied lowly rubbing my hands over my face, releasing a deep agitated breath.

“How are you holding up? Becca wanted to know if there is anything she can do?” Derek asked with a concerned hitch in his voice.

“Milly and Riley have been taking care of Mei’s personal needs, but I am sure they would not mind an extra hand.” I replied sinking back into my brown leather chair, tapping my index finger against my thigh.

“And you?” Derek asked shifting in his chair in the background.

“I won’t lie, this is hard. Not being able to do anything but wait and watch is killing me.” I replied feeling Brutus and Goki stir nervously in the shadows.

“I understand fully but you need to stay strong and keep talking to her.” Derek replied letting out a long steadying breath, almost sounding like he was holding back tears.

“Becca is heading out with two female guards; she will be there in two hours with some extra supplies.” Derek said hearing the door click in the background. Glancing at the video monitor of Mei, watching Lexi sitting quietly, while Milly and Riley apply lotion to Mei’s body after her sponge bath.

Goddess, I want to touch her body so badly.

“Have we heard anything from our foreign associates?” I asked not taking my eyes off the video monitor.

“No word but they have notified every supernatural ally about Victor and Aeros.” Derek responded shifting papers, cursing under his breath.

“Alright, I will notify the border patrol Becca is expected. Keep me updated if anything is heard, seen, suspected. I want to find this piece of shit and tear him limb from limb.” I hissed growing agitated thinking about his smug face.

“Jack, you have all our support if you need anything, ask.” Derek replied before hanging up.

“Thanks.” I replied letting out a shaky breath.

Running my hands through my hair, tugging lightly at the length as sounds of whimpers and crying broke through the video audio.

Knocking the chair backwards as I sprinted out the office towards Mei, feeling the heavy emotional tug on my heart. Bursting into the bedroom, running up to her caressing her head gently.

“Mei Baby. I am here. Wake-up.” I whispered into her ear as I kissed at her tear-stained cheeks, chasing the tears away as they flowed steadily from her closed eyes.

Lexi placed his hand on Mei’s, watching as his forearm muscles twitched under the energy surging from Mei’s body. His face contorted into a roller coaster of emotions as tears violently rolled down his face.

“Lexi?” I shouted gaining a deep emotional stare as he dropped his head into his hands shaking, tears flowing heavily from his eyes.

“He can feel her.” Brutus whispered as Goki whimpered with extreme emotional pain.

Lexi dropped his head against the bed, while I laid next to Mei brushing my fingers through her hair, whispering gently to her.

“Come on Mei. You are strong. You are my fighting spirit.” I whispered gently kissing her head as Milly and Riley stood back watching.

Lexi was silent, leaning forward with his head resting on the edge of the bed, feeling as Mei’s body slowly relaxed under my hold. Lexi slowly lifted his head up with soft concerned eyes. Lexi grabbed Milly’s hand as he leaned back in the chair running his loose hand through his hair.

“Whatever you did, Mei relaxed.” I said looking over at him with questioning eyes.

“Kyou and Moon are with her. I guess Victor has been playing “psychological warfare” on Mei, showing her images of you dying.” Lexi hissed laughing uneasily. Brutus and Goki did not like that Victor was playing his fucked-up game.

“She needs to wake-up.” I said running my finger over her cheek watching Lexi sort through his thoughts.

“Kyou is keeping that asshole blocked from connecting. Moon told me Mei is strong and even stronger when we are together.” He said leaning forward resting his elbows on his knees.

“Apparently, I can dream travel and manipulate the dream surroundings. I made sure she was comfortable before I left.” Lexi said smiling looking at Mei then to me.

“Moon said to keep talking to her, doing your small things. They can hear you and feel the electric charges from your touch.” Lexi said standing up stretching his body out like a caged animal.

“So, what was that earlier?” I asked sitting up gently to look at Lexi.

“Whatever happened with Victor, Mei’s fighting spirit unlocked memories of the previous Spirit Wolves. Throw that on top of her emotional state when she passed out, her body just shut down so she could rest.” Lexi exhaled closing his eyes, dropping his head back.

“Becca is coming with two of her female guards with supplies, also, to help Milly and Riley with her care.” I said stroking her cheek looking over at Lexi.

“Desmond and Izzy are currently researching the Royal archives for anything that might help with locating the asshole and his henchman.” Eli said walking in with a tray of coffee and small breakfast snacks.

“Have you eaten anything?” Eli asked looking with a raised eyebrow knowing damn well I have not eaten in two days.

“Here at least drink this.” Eli said handing me a large coffee mug with Irish sweet cream. Brutus and Goki hummed at the taste of the sweet caffeine.

“Have you slept at all?” Eli asked pulling a chair up next to Lexi while Milly and Riley left to go greet Becca at the border. Looking at Mei, silently cursing the current situation. “If you mean the hour naps here and there, yeah.” I replied mockingly sipping the coffee stroking a finger against Mei’s cheek.

“Seth and Max are in the basement searching all that shit we found at Raven’s. Max thinks there might be something hidden within all that fucked up shit.” Lexi huffed leaning back in his chair taking a heavy swig of his coffee.

“How about you go get a shower, fresh clothes. We will sit with Mei.” Lexi said pointing to my disheveled appearance. Realizing I have not changed since Mei went into her dream coma.

“Fine.” I huffed gently kissing Mei’s cheek, standing up slowly stretching out my limbs, walking into the bathroom.

Taking a glimpse in the mirror, two-day stubble was casting a dark shadow across my jawline; dark circles encased my blue eyes, which had a gray tint from lack of sleep.

Stepping into the shower, feeling the hot pounding water knead my stiff shoulders. Shaving the two-day stubble, washing the heavy emotional stress off my body.

Resting my forehead against the cool glass wall, closing my eyes feeling the water roll down my body over my flexing muscles imagining Mei in my arms.

Visions of a dense tree canopy filled the darkness as a large over-sized bed came into view. Lightly wrapped in the center laid Mei, sleeping peacefully as Moon and Kyou paced slowly around protecting her.

Gently laying down beside Mei, stroking her cheek feeling her stir gently under my touch, electric explosions rushing through my body.

Slowly, her gorgeous silver eyes captured mine as a heart-stopping smile formed on her lips. No words were spoken as she cupped my face in her warm soft hand, pulling me down for a deep, breath-catching kiss.

Low growls vibrated against each other as she crawled into my lap feeling her body heat radiate through my skin. Goddess! How I have missed her touch.

Rolling us over, not breaking our passionate kiss, sliding in between her legs feeling her hot wet core, her body shuttering under my weight. Her hands gripped my taut back muscles as I trailed hot kisses down her jaw, biting gently against her mark.

“Jack.” She moaned whispered as she wrapped her legs around my waist loosely.

“Baby, I missed you.” I whispered against her neck as I slid my hardened erection slowly into her hot wet walls.

Deep moans escaping our mouths at the sensation of our connection.

“I love you JR.” She whispered against my mark as she sucked and licked at the blood.

“I love you, Mei.” I whispered kissing gently against her mark watching as she floated in bliss. Kissing her gently feeling the pull, hot water pounding against my shoulders as I opened my eyes revealing the shower.

“Goddess! That was amazing.” I whispered as I shut off the shower wrapping a towel around my waist.

Taking a quick look in the mirror, Mei’s mark had fresh bite marks, along with a silver wolf with the black wolf and red moon.

Dressing in gray sweatpants, black V-neck t-shirt, walking out to find Eli and Lexi smiling devilishly.

“Was it a good shower?” Eli laughed side glancing Lexi with a smirk.

“He looks relaxed.” Lexi laughed pointing at my bright smile walking over stroking Mei’s cheek with my finger.

“It was better than “good”.” I laughed refreshing my empty coffee mug.

“Apparently, something happened because we both watched as her mark changed with fresh bite marks, those damn monitors were beeping like crazy.” Eli laughed pointing at his neck to signify where our marks are visible.

“How is she?” Izzy asked walking into the room with Desmond and Dominic carrying boxes of books marked with sticky notes and paper marking pages.

“It seems our love birds had a steamy meeting while he was taking a shower.” Eli laughed leaning back crossing his leg bouncing his finger in the air.

Izzy shot me a look with a raised eyebrow walking over to me smiling. Her smile changed into an evil smirk, grabbing my ear dropping me down to her height as she pulled back the collar of my shirt, revealing the new mark with the silver and black wolf with red moon. She let go quickly, spinning on her heel checking Mei’s mark.

“This happened while she is still in her dream state?” Izzy asked side glancing us. Eli, Lexi, and I nodding our heads ‘yes’.

“Dominic hand me the large black leather book.” Izzy said holding her hand out for the book. Dominic dropping the box he was holding, grabbing an old beaten and torn black leather book.

“More like a fucking boulder.” Goki laughed.

“What is going on Izzy?” Lexi asked leaning forward watching closely as Izzy flipped through the pages until she found what she was looking for.

“What has happened since we talked last?” Izzy asked sitting the book down on the edge of the bed.

“Lexi discovered he can dream travel, along with changing dream surroundings. Kyou and Moon are protecting Mei while her body rests from the extra emotional stress of unlocking the previous memories of the Spirit Wolves. Also, Victor has been trying to manipulate Mei with visions of me dying.” I responded watching as Izzy’s face contorted into anger.

“I WILL KILL THAT SON OF A BITCH MYSELF!”

Izzy screamed shaking as her eyes turned black.

“Izzy Baby calm down. We will get him.” Desmond said wrapping his arms around her waist kissing her neck, nudging her cheek with his nose.

“She is no joke when she is pissed.” Brutus laughed as Goki howled in laughter.

“Runs in the family.” Goki laughed harder. I shook my head silently.

“Right. You ready for a history lesson?’ Desmond asked looking up from Izzy’s neck.

I gave him a questioning look with arched brows. Either this is bad or we are in for a really big surprise.
