Fighting Spirit Series Chapter 69: "OPA"
**Eli:**
My fucking head is still spinning from all this crazy ass shit. Mei was seriously fixing to explode with all that emotional energy but the Watchmen surprised me even more. They knew exactly how to handle the situation, creating a barrier to contain Mei’s energy while having Lexi and Jack calm her down.
“So, if you do not mind me asking, what clan were you four taken from?” I asked watching as their faces contorted in anger and sadness.
“Actually, we were born in Titan’s facility; then sold off to Raven around four-years-old.” Elias stated shrugging his shoulders. Roger, Chris, and Ben just paced slowly studying the dining room.
“Shit! Sorry guys.” I hissed face palming myself mentally. They all huffed laughs side glancing me smiling.
“Hey, we all have fucked up pasts, or some part of our lives that is fucked up.” Chris laughed patting Max on the back.
“This crazy bastard taught us to never look back, to keep plowing forward until we found our happiness.” Ben laughed poking Max in his chest with his finger.
“Well, I was surprised when four identical brothers were dropped in my lap and told to train them.” Max puffed his chest out like a big brother.
“Admit it. You love us.” Roger hummed resting his chin on his hands, fluttering his lashes mockingly. Okay, that is funny.
“Hah. Says “One”.” Max laughed poking Roger in the cheek, receiving a stern look.
“One?” I asked, raising a questioning brow.
“Yeah. Max is the one that named us. He got pissed calling us One, Two, Three, and Four.” Ben laughed leaning against the wall.
“What can I say, I have a soft spot.” Max held his hand up rolling his eyes. Seth laughed softly looking over his shoulder at Max.
“More than our dear father, Titan.” Elias growled closing his eyes breathing deeply.
“TITAN?” Seth and I huffed loudly staring between the four, nodding their heads.
“Hold on. You said you were born at his facility; please tell me your mother was not one of his fucked-up experiments?” Seth growled lowly standing from his seat.
“Her name was Sam. Titan abused her repeatedly, and voila, four identical boys appeared.” Chris laughed throwing his hands up in the air mockingly. Titus was stirring agitated.
“Children of rape.” Titus growled lowly.
“Easy Titus. I hate it just as much as you.” I calmly replied feeling my anger increase.
“The Piece le résistance was the day we found out Titan had been fileted and his pooches had a grand feast.” Chris laughed kissing his fingertips and blowing them away from his face like a French chef.
“Hah. I like them even more.” Titus laughed darkly.
“No joke about that.” I laughed back.
“Your mom?” Seth asked turning slightly with a questioning gaze.
“She died during childbirth.” Max hissed pinching the bridge of his nose. The four boys dropping their heads growling deeply.
“I had already been in the facility for almost two years. Sam showed up one day very pregnant thrown into the cell next to mine. I was six at the time, barely spoke to anyone, until the day Mei appeared scared, soot covered, bloody, tearstained marks on her sooty cheeks.” Max exhaled shaking. I have never seen Max this emotionally shaken.
“Please do not tell Mei this next part.” Max looked up under hooded eyes at everyone in the room.
“Not a word.” I stated nodding my head for him to continue.
“The six-year-old boy Mei mentioned in the beginning was me. I was scared shitless of Titan, what I watched him do to countless others as warnings to us. I beat a helpless, curled up little girl to the point her wolf surfaced, hurting me badly protecting Mei from my beating. She only partially shifted, but I saw her silver eyes, the pain, sorrow, defeat, then hope, a passion to live swirling brightly. I blacked-out, waking-up in a cell near death.” Max paused digging out the top shelf whiskey pouring himself a double, holding up the bottle to us offering drinks.
“Sam happened to be in the cell with me, taking care of my wounds. She barely spoke, but when she did the raw pain and hatred seeped in her voice. She had managed to heal my wounds, but even more thankful Mei held back during our fight. A few days passed of silence when Sam started talking to her stomach.” Max smiled at the boys raising his glass.
“I asked her what she was expecting. She smiled brightly at me holding up four fingers. I was a kid, so curiosity kicked in. I asked her if she knew if they were boy or girl. She did not know for sure, but felt they were strong little boys. Shortly after our small talk, she clenched her stomach, screaming bloody murder as her water broke. I shouted to the guards for help, expecting some kind of sympathy for her.”
“Nothing… I gathered everything I could find to wrap the pups in. As each scream got louder, the boys arrived. Titan showed up as Sam struggled with the labor. First boy arrived, Sam whispered “Roger”, Titan smugly spoke “ONE”. For each boy, Elias, Chris and Ben; Titan numbered them like Trophies.” Max stopped, breathing deeply keeping his wolf at bay.
“Trophies?” I asked shaking with anger.
“Victor’s Trophies.” Titus hissed.
“Titan took the boys away as soon as a couple of female maids appeared with clean blankets. Titan left clean water and some food; then disappeared with the boys. Sam would not stop bleeding; her healing was not activating. She grabbed my hands and made me promise her that if I found a way out, I would take the boys if possible. She died in my arms.” Max placed his hand over his face sobbing. Seth stood up hugging him strongly.
“Four years later, we end up being placed with an arrogant wolf-bear, Max.” Chris laughed placing his fists on his hips, standing smugly. Max laughing lightly.
“Max saw something in us that day and beat the living Hell out of each one of us.” Ben laughed wiggling his ass at Max. Max threw a glass at Ben, catching it before it smacked him in the head.
“He did everything imaginable to us, screaming to never back down, never give up.” Elias wiggled his fingers with his thumb on his nose, sticking out his tongue at Max. Max chucked a steak knife, Elias stopping it with his hands inches from his chest.
“Until the day Raven showed up to pick-up his packages.” Roger smacked his ass cheek, winking at Max. Max lunged playfully at Roger laughing loudly.
“And you four are still the biggest pains…in… the…asses.” Max bear hugged them waving Seth into the hug.
“Mei is not the only one finding happiness.” Titus laughed.
“You’re correct.” I replied proudly watching the guys.
“What did I miss?” Dominic laughed leaning in the doorway with Lexi.
“Some family bonding time.” Seth shouted as they all erupted into laughter.
“AW, DOMINIC!” They threw their hands in the air with heavy Greek accents, laughing.
“Dominic meet The Watchmen or Guardians: Roger, Elias, Chris, and Ben.” I laughed pointing at each one nodding their head at Dominic.
“Welcome to the Family!” Dominic shouted throwing his hands in the air with a Greek accent, laughing harder with the boys.
“OPA!” They all shouted laughing harder.
“Okay, you five get out of here, before we have a Big Fat Greek Wedding.” I laughed stopping in mid-thought.
Smiling from ear-to-ear.
Max pointing his finger at my face smiling sheepishly with Seth staring with an evil glare.
“What?” The boys asked looking between Dominic, Lexi, Max, Seth, and I silently thinking the same thing.
“Riley?” I linked.
“Yeah babe?” She replied softly.
“Grab Milly and meet us in the game room.” I replied, motioning for the guys to follow.
Hooking a left out the dining room, walking down the long hallway seeing the Grand Ballroom at the end of the hallway. Stopping at a set of large mahogany doors, revealing the large game room with Professional Gaming PC’s, several game systems on multiple TV’s, pool tables, pinball machines, flowing freely into the indoor-outdoor pool.
“FUCKING BLOODY HELL!” Roger laughed looking at the room.
“BOLLICS!” Lexi yelled.
“What? I have not had the chance to see every fucking room yet.” Lexi laughed throwing his hand up, stargazed. I flashed him a smile. Riley and Milly entered the room, closing the door behind them.
“Right. Now seeing that Mei’s original Luna Ceremony went to Hell and back. Yes, her and Jack officially announced her Luna in their own way. How about we throw them an actual wedding. We know they are not breaking up anytime, so why not surprise them.” Watching faces contort, eyebrows lifting then scrunching together, bright smiles slowly forming.
“We can pull this off. Where are we going to hold it?” Lexi asked smiling brightly at Milly.
“The Grand Ballroom.” I puffed my chest out.
Riley and Seth snapped their eyes at me.
“We have not used the Ballroom in years.” Seth whisper yelled excitedly.
“Exactly.” Pointing at him with mischievous eyes.
“Now the hardest parts. Izzy and Amelia cannot know.” Watching Seth’s face morphing into horror, shaking his head ‘NO’ with Dominic mirroring him.
“That is signing death warrants Eli.” Max laughed hugging Seth from behind, pinching the bridge of his nose.
“They did keep Mei’s pregnancy secret.” Riley looked at me with pleading eyes.
“Don’t upset our mate.” Titus and Kade grumbled.
“Fine.” I huffed rolling my eyes.
“Fine. Just make sure they know it’s between this group only.” Circling my finger in the air. Everyone nodded their heads in agreement.
“Okay “Operation OPA” is starting now.” Pouring everyone shots of Ouzo.
“OPA!” We saluted slamming the shots back.
Everyone heading out to go back to normal every day: catch a bat-shit crazy vampire trying to overthrow two kingdoms.
Emotionally volatile lycan pregnant with twins.
Bring it on! I cheered in my head.
