Fighting Spirit Series Chapter 70: Perfect Timing
**Jack:**
Mei has been helping Amelia all this week with the puppies, keeping them occupied now that their bundles of endless energy. Theos is so fucking cute with his all-white body and black diamond on his forehead. Eli, Max, Seth, and Lexi have been keeping me busy sorting through files looking for information about the First Wolf King’s throne.
A knock got my attention as Eli, Seth, Max, and Lexi walked in wearing black suit pants, deep purple button-up shirts with Cherry Blossoms pinned to their lapels. Goki and Brutus started howling happily.
“Did I miss the memo?” I asked sarcastically raising a brow.
“The memo just became public.” Eli laughed setting a purple velvet box down in front of me on top of the pile of documents. Looking up slowly catching bright smiles painting across their faces.
“Go shower, shave, and change into this.” Max pointed as he laid down a black garment bag.
“Not until you four explain yourselves.” Picking up the velvet box opening it up to see our Mother’s Sapphire and Diamond inlayed ring.
Eli had a shit-eating grin while I stood up slowly eyeing each one of them. I grabbed Eli hugging him patting his back as we both laughed lightly.
“It’s about time we make this official.” Eli pulled away patting my back. I walked over to each one hugging them, sharing manly pats as I grabbed the garment bag and took off to the spare bedroom down the hallway.
“We’re getting married.” Brutus howled.
“Perfect timing.” Goki hummed.
“Mrs. Jack Rockwell.” I replied smiling ear-to-ear.
Shaving, manscaping then showering, thinking about in a matter of hours I would be marrying my pregnant mate. Nerves started swirling deeply at the thought of Mei freaking from the sudden surprise wedding. Deep breaths, she will be okay. Surprised, but okay.
“Jack?” Eli linked.
“Yeah.” I replied. Buttoning the last button.
“The girls are almost ready.” Eli replied.
Nerves kicking into high gear as I gave myself one final look over before exiting into the hallway. Desmond and Dominic greeted me with large smiles, man hugging and patting one another.
“You ready?” Dominic asked smiling.
“Always.” I laughed as Desmond patted me one last time.
“I have a young lady to escort.” Desmond bowed walking down the hallway to our room.
Dominic nodded at me ‘poofing’ us into the Grand Ballroom decorated in purples, silvers, Cherry Blossoms and white Lilies, our mother’s favorite. The whole clan kneeled, bowing their heads at my arrival. Stepping up to the top step, clearing my throat.
Dry throat struck me suddenly.
“Thank you everyone for joining us on this glorious occasion. As many of you know, I am getting married.” I paused while laughter echoed off the hand-carved wooden wall panels. The grand draping tapestries, absorbing the reverberation from the polished marble floors.
“We are blessed to share this surprise occasion with all of you. Friends, family, brothers, and sisters. Thank you again.” I finished by placing my fist over my chest, bowing to my clan in respect for standing with us all these years.
Three loud knocks on the marble floor grabbed everyone’s attention as I stepped down taking my place. Taking a deep breath stabilizing my erratic heartbeat as Milly walked down the aisle in a purple chiffon Goddess styled gown, floating to her spot smiling at Lexi, then me.
Izzy, Amelia, and Riley proceeded down the aisle smiling brightly, winking at the guys as they took their positions one-by-one. Small growls and whistles danced behind me as we watched the girls.
The grand doors closed as soft Greek music played, three loud knocks echoed again as the massive mahogany doors opened. The air sucked out of the room as Desmond walked Mei in slowly.
She was gorgeous, dressed in a classical Goddess style dress of Ivory chiffon and silk. The deep V-neck enhanced her swollen breasts, accented by silver rhinestones under the bodice. Her dress draped delicately over her very prominent belly as her train floated gently behind her like a waterfall.
“Our Goddess.” Brutus and Goki hummed as we watched her walk towards us.
The girls did a Goddess styled hairdo with the silver roping braided loosely through her hair, small curls laying against her soft supple skin. Our heart stopped when she looked up with her gorgeous silver eyes, capturing the crooked smile on my lips as I fought the urge to scoop her up and run away. Desmond held her hand out to me as I laced my fingers with hers loosely, leading her up to the top step.
“You are more than gorgeous.” I linked her smiling.
“You are very sexy.” She replied purring in our link.
DOWN MAN! DOWN MAN! I yelled at myself, as my pants grew tighter against my groin.
Damian stepped out dressed in traditional white wear to perform the ceremony as the Ceremonial Overseer. Raising his hands to signal the start.
“Welcome Demon Wolf, friends, allies, and party crashers.” Damian spoke as laughter lightly filled the room.
“Seriously, I am honored to be here today, uniting Alpha Jack Rockwell and his vibrant Luna and mate, Mei Moonstone.” Whistles and claps erupted as Damian cleared his throat.
“This came as a surprise to everyone, especially these two, because as of a few hours ago, it was just a typical Demon Wolf kind of day. However, unannounced to them, the clan, friends, family, and some suicidal idiots felt it was time to make this union official.” Damian boomed with pride as he smiled at both of us.
The guys coughing into their hands, rolling their eyes.
Light clicking of paws against the marble drew everyone’s attention as Lui, Li, and Theos, who wore a purple ribbon with our rings tied to it, walked down the aisle up to us sitting perfectly.
Mei was silently tearing up as she stared at me with those magnificent silver eyes. Eli kneeled down on his knee, patting Lui and Li, picking up Theos giving a playful puppy growl as Eli untied the ribbon handing the rings over to Damian.
“Seeing that the groom and bride had no idea what was about to occur, will make this even more comical and special.” Damian handed me my Mother’s ring. Lifting Mei’s shaking hand up kissing it gently before I spoke.
“Where to start. My mother always told us boys that someone special was set aside specifically for us. She passed unfortunately before having the chance to live.”
“This ring signifies so much more than commitment. It is my oath as an Alpha, mate, father, that I will always fight, never backing down, never giving up, because life is full of craziness, surprises, good and bad, and memories yet to be made. I love you Mei Moonstone, to the moon and back.” I kissed the ring before sliding it onto her finger, fitting perfectly.
Mei smiled as she stared at the stones glistening and gleaming in the soft chandelier light as she took my ring from Damian.
“My life started with a shitty hand, but that shitty hand drove me to fight. To fight back and conquer all those who sought to destroy me. I found something so unthinkable, it still surprises me that this is not a dream, but my hope of happiness. I would not ask for anything else, the craziness, the surprises, the memories, good and bad, because I am making them with my Alpha, mate, father-to-be, family, friends, and my clan. I love you Jack Rockwell, to the moon and beyond.” Mei smiled brightly as she slid my ring onto my finger, lacing our fingers together.
“With that said, I now pronounce you married, united, whatever you want, but you are stuck together until one of you kicks that fucking bucket.” Damian laughed with everyone.
“You may kiss your bride.” Damian winked at me, scooping Mei into my embrace, dipping her backwards kissing her soft plump lips, feeling the heat rolling off her body as she shivered under my touch.
Loud whistles and clapping erupted in the Grand hall as I scooped her up in my arms, carrying her down the aisle with everyone following behind.
