**Jack: **

Four brothers, identical at that. Argo must know something, or at least can fill in some of the blanks. Max seemed comfortable with them as they joked amongst themselves, finding it shocking when Max told them he found his mate. He got even more curious looks when he disclosed his mate was Seth.

“I always knew you were special Maxie.” Chris laughed jumping on his back. A deep growl stopped Max in his steps when he saw Seth waiting with Lexi at the front door.

“I mean no harm.” Chris threw his hands up, backing away from Max.

“That’s right cub.” Seth huffed crossing his arms. Deep chesty grumbles erupted from the four as Seth gave them a stare down.

“ENOUGH!” Mei boomed as they all dropped to a knee, bowing their heads.

“Damn. She’s scary.” Ben whispered receiving a laugh from Mei.

“You think she’s scary; you still have the pleasure of meeting Moon and Kyou. Her lycan and wolf.” I wrapped my arms around Mei’s waist as she smiled sinisterly.

“I’m starving. We can discuss this at breakfast.” Mei turned quickly on her heel heading towards the dining room, smelling waffles, sausage, bacon, and fruit.

We watched as the boys took seats next to Max as Eli and Riley joined us at the table. Everyone silently enjoyed their breakfast, until everyone was satisfied.

“Argo?” Moon spoke in her husky voice with a strong dominance.

“What sis?” Argo replied deeply, glancing up at her.

“Like to explain?” Moon asked raising a brow, side glancing at the four boys.

“How can they talk like this?” Chris pointed between Lexi and Mei speaking as their lycans.

“Well cub. It is just like their wolves when they surface, we can do the same.” Moon hissed licking her teeth gently, laughing deeply as the four sank down into their chairs.

“They are known as the Four Watchmen or Guardians. I happened to see a memory of Max’s when he was training them.” Argo stated sniffing the sausage, releasing a low growl.

“Wait! Does that mean you and her are…?” Roger asked flustered pointing between Lexi and Mei, looking between his brothers with wondering eyes.

“What do you think we are?” Moon asked leaning back casually in her chair watching with narrowed eyes. Argo chuckled lightly.

“The Spirit Wolf or Silver Wolf.” Chris whispered receiving elbows from Elias and Ben, Roger reaching behind Elias to slap him across the head.

“Correct young cub. Now, how you know about it is the million-dollar question?” Argo laughed side glancing the four with cold narrow eyes. All four taking deep breaths with wide eyes.

“We overheard Victor always talking about the Spirit Wolf, last of their lycan bloodline and something about taking over the kingdoms.” Roger took a hearty drink of his juice, avoiding direct eye contact with Argo.

“You mean Kingdom, not plural.” I asked raising a brow in question watching as they shot glances at everyone.

“No, plural. He would flip out and beat one of us every time Raven failed to find his Spirit Wolf.” Ben crossed his arms over his chest, grumbling under his breath annoyed.

“So, you worked for Victor in Europe?” Mei asked in her normal tone staring questionably at them. Flashing a sly smile.

“More like forced. He was always ‘poofing’ in and out from his frozen hideout.” Chris huffed annoyed as we all perked up to the mentioning of a frozen hideout.

“Do you know where this hideout is?” I asked leaning forward placing my elbows on the table, lacing my fingers together.

“NO. Only Aeros was allowed to be there, we were placed with a Royal Vampire family off the Mediterranean Coast. Bunch of uptight fuckers!” Elias sipped his juice, rolling his eyes.

“Are you talking about Duke Jasper and Duchess Vallera?” Desmond asked ‘poofing’ in with Izzy. The four boys jumped up, kneeling, and bowing to Desmond.

“Your Highnesses.” They boomed placing their hands over their chests.

“Please stand up. We are not like our snobby European families.” Desmond laughed sharply pulling out a seat for Izzy.

We all laughed at the boys’ shocked expressions.

“Please forgive us, but this is all new to us. We have been held captive for sixteen years, sold to Raven twelve years ago; turned into his personal bodyguards for high paying clients. We hated it; that is why when we met Max and saw how he took us under his wing, we knew the dream had to be a sign.” Ben looked over at Izzy, who was sniffling at the mentioning of their treatment. Izzy jumped up hugging each boy, giving them bright smiles.

“You boys can stay with us unless Alpha Jack wants you here. Desmond said looking around the table, eyeing Izzy hugging them like her own pups.

“That is actually a good suggestion, seeing how Victor knows about Mei and Lexi already, maybe keeping you four under the radar is wise.” I looked at Desmond nod in agreement watching four sets of eyes snap to Desmond smiling warmly.

“Before you go, you mentioned kingdom’s, plural. Do you know which ones?” Eli asked leaning forward side glancing me. Mei side glanced at his question.

“Vampire and Wolf Kingdom.” Roger rubbed his face with his hands, sighing deeply.

“Well, that explains why Victor needs Jack’s blood.” Eli laughed raising a brow in amusement, downing the last of his juice.

“That’s why we are here. It turns out he needs all of your blood to complete this ritual of his. The last of each bloodline.” Izzy leaned back crossing her arms, cursing under her breath. Desmond rubbed her arm, cooing in her ear to calm her down.

“What do you mean Izzy?” I asked with a curious brow. Mei studying her expression with a stern questioning gaze.

“It took some imagination, but Dominic discovered an ancient vampire text of folk lore, old wives’ tales so to speak. Well, apparently it mentions a great power to overtake and control all supernatural creatures. The Spirit Wolf being said source, but take that a step further, add a little of Lykaon blood and voila, you have the perfect recipe to mass slaughter entire races.” Desmond pinched the bridge of his nose, hissing in annoyance.

Low growling erupted from everyone as we took in Desmond’s words. Shit! This is not what I was expecting, but nothing this past month was expected. Speaking silently to myself watching Mei staring at the table with a blank stare. Placing my hand on her thigh, rubbing gently feeling the pulsation of energy seeping from her body.

“Mei?” The Watchmen asked in unison, staring at Mei’s now stone-cold expression forming. She stood up abruptly, knocking over her chair as she began to pace wildly in the dining room. Lexi and I approaching her cautiously as she snarled, baring her fangs.

“This asshole is really pissing me off.” Mei hissed between gritted teeth, pacing hard, studying everyone’s expressions.

“Mei, we understand completely. He is pissing all of us off.” Lexi held up his hand, offering her a reassuring smile.

“YOU DO NOT UNDERSTAND ANYTHING!” Mei boomed as the windows in the dining room exploded as a silvery-white aura encased her body. The floor vibrated with each step she took.

“Mei Baby. You need to calm down. This is not good for the twins.” I softly wrapped my hands around her waist, feeling the intense energy flowing from her body. Lexi placed his hand on her shoulder watching as the aura crawled slowly onto his body.

“What’s happening?” Seth asked with slight curiosity hitched in his voice.

“Lexi, focus on connecting to her subconscious.” Chris directed calmly as the four brothers stood walking over to make a circle around us. Holding their arms out to their sides so their palms were inches apart, closing their eyes.
