Fighting Spirit Series Chapter 88: I have No Idea

Mei having her freak out about leaving Demon Wolf now that we are the next Royals got me thinking. It is a lot to deal with after the shit storm with Victor and all that other crazy ass shit. Brutus and Goki grumbled not liking she was not happy. I agree her being happy is important to me; the twins have made their mark on her.

“Baby, the girls and I are going out shopping.” Mei linked sounding excited as the girls’ chatter echoed in the background. Shooting Rocko a text to round up Jaxon and Braxton and meet the girls at the garage to go into the city.

“Okay. I will have Rocko, Jaxon and Braxton follow you. Just to be safe.” I replied feeling a little on edge, but I know she can handle herself.

Phone vibrating in reply. “Yes Alpha!’ with a smiley face sticking its tongue out. What is it with these guys and their weird emoji replies?

“I understand Baby.” She replied sounding confident and free-spirited.

“The boys are safe. Have fun and relax.” I replied knowing the girls would give her a time to remember. “Oh, I plan on it. Love you.” She replied making this squealing noise in excitement as I heard keys jingle.

“Love you more Baby.” I replied feeling all giddy like I was going on a date.

We never had a date night; I mean we have had our special moments at the cabin and other occasions, but nothing like taking her out on the city at night. Quiet dinner, just the two of us, maybe a movie, something fun.

“Jack?” Lexi linked.

“Yeah.” I replied.

“Damian and Derek are on line two.” He replied sounding like he was jogging.

“We are on our way now.” Lexi huffed in link sounding like a herd of buffalo.

Laughing as I pressed the flashing red button for line two.

“Gentlemen.” I laughed as I heard slight fuzz then the line cleared.

“Your Highness.” Damian replied sarcastically as Derek laughed darkly.

“Don’t start with me already.” I joked back as I leaned back in my chair, holding Nikola in my arm while Micah snoozed in the baby swing to my left.

“How are the twins? Mei?” Derek asked as Damian cursed about spilling hot coffee on his lap.

“Hot Balls.” Goki laughed as Brutus hissed in laughter.

“Mei and the girls’ are heading into the city now as we speak and the boys are perfect.” I laughed as Nikola stretched his little body out tucking into the crook of my arm and chest.

“Surprised you two are not in some isolated part of the world by now.” Damian laughed in the background.

“The time will come, just right now with everything, it’s kind of messy.” I laughed as my office door opened, the guys filing in quietly.

“The gang of “Merry Men” just showed up, so go ahead with what you have found.” I said as the guys took their seats with relaxed expressions and smiles.

“Right, so it turns out that Victor and Aeros had a small chemical factory of that “Cocktail” shit. We managed, with the help of Desmond’s contacts over here, to locate and destroy it all.” Derek stated firmly as he shifted something metallic with a soft clink.

“Did you manage to salvage anything from the castle?” Desmond asked looking at me with stern eyes with a hint of mischief.

“Actually, you should be receiving a package from us early tomorrow morning.” Both laughed as a loud horn blasted in the background.

“What the hell was that?” I asked watching as Micah stirred in the swing.

“We are currently in route to the airstrip. We managed to salvage enough from the castle but Allister and the other local clans are going to make sure it is never found again.”

Damian stated as Derek said something in the background.

“Have you met with the Royal Elders yet?” Derek asked with a questioning tone.

“No, they are meeting with us later today. Why?” I asked as Micah started whimpering, Eli waving to me to stay seated as he scooped Micah up into a soft bouncing hold.

“Allister and his brothers feel like Victor had an insider with the Elders. I mean how can someone like Victor or Aeros go unnoticed for so long? The Elders are the only ones with any information of the Royal sites. Mainly the Royal castles.” Derek replied as Damian shouted, slamming on the horn.

“Just watch your backs and listen closely. No one besides this circle and our allies know about Mei and Lexi’s identities. You get what I am saying?” Damian said annoyed as another loud blast of the horn echoed.

“Fucking glorious!” Brutus hissed annoyed and pissed.

“We should be on the ground by tomorrow morning. If for any reason you feel something is off with the Elders, go to one of our clans. Becca already has a heads up.” Derek said as loud jet engines rumbled in the background.

“Alright. You two be safe and we will see you tomorrow.” I said as Lexi held up his phone showing his texts to Rocko.

“Sure thing. Cannot wait to meet the little guys.”

Damian cheered loudly as Derek laughed cutting the line off.

“It makes sense. How can someone like Victor or Aeros go unnoticed for a little over a hundred years?” Desmond said rubbing Micah’s soft black locks as Eli cradled him in his arm.

“Well, you staying for dinner?” I asked sarcastically, standing slowly walking around the desk leaning against the front edge as Nikola shifted his head into my chest.

“Best feeling ever.” Goki hummed as Brutus purred gently.

“You know me too well.” Desmond laughed mockingly as he leaned down to Nikola breathing in his fresh rain scent.

Lexi laughing loudly as a text message came in.

“What?” Desmond and I both asked snapping our eyes to Lexi laughing hard.

“The AUDI.” Lexi was in tears with that phrase.

“What about the AUDI?” I asked feeling my blood run cold.

“The girls took it. Mei is driving.” Lexi was laying against Max’s shoulder as they both held each other laughing.

Of all the vehicles in the garage, she took the AUDI.

Face palming mentally.

“Wait! Who taught her how to drive?” Lexi asked looking around the room. Seth laughed raising his hand.

“That would have been me and Mom.” Seth said shaking his head, laughing.

“Oh, help us all!” Xander laughed as he looked at me with soft eyes and a shit-eating grin.

“That woman has a lead foot like an Indy driver.” Max laughed catching his breath.

“Hey. Mei got her license first try with maybe two days of driving.” Seth said as he leaned back against the sofa cushions crossing his arms proudly.

“Okay, I will give credit. Nothing was blown-up or in pieces.” I laughed as both boys started fussing loudly.

“That is cue for feed me. So, let us get ready for dinner with the Elders.” I said as Eli followed behind me with Micah as we all filed out the office making our way downstairs.

“Do you think the girls are safe?” Eli linked as we walked into the kitchen so no one could hear what we were discussing.

“Eli, as long as Mei is with the girls, I am not worried at all.” I replied smiling evilly remembering the fight with Victor.

“You still have not filled us in on what happened down there.” Eli said as we prepared two bottles for the boys as we both smiled at their small little faces.

“It will be easier for Mei to share her memories. It was something I could never explain. The surging energy, the abilities.” I exhaled feeling my body tremble in excitement.

“Dude! You keep that up and an ice bath will be required.” Eli replied out loud, laughing pointing at my growing bulge pushing against my jeans.

Nikola cried softly as Micah replied with his own cry, watching as their bright blue eyes glowed the closer they were.

“Eli, are you seeing what I am?” I asked in link not wanting anyone to hear me.

“Are their eyes glowing?” Eli replied as we both looked at each other.

Eli stepping next to me as both boys cried softly, fussing as we grabbed the bottles of warm milk. Each boy taking the bottle hungrily.

“Okay so what did we just witness?” I asked looking at Eli with a puzzled expression, shrugging his shoulders as the boys sucked vigorously.

“I have no idea.” Eli said as we turned to head out of the kitchen, after the boys finished their bottles.

Walking quietly as the garage door opened, revealing my glorious beauty carrying multiple bags in her hands as she laughed with the girls.
