The Biker's Fate Chapter 219

She jogged ahead of us and joined Morgan, Morgan's mom, Marcus, and Jack as they headed to the dining hall where we'd be spending the duration of the evening. Doc had stayed in tonight, so I was now left blissfully alone with Knight.

"You're a sneaky bastard, aren't you?" I accused.

Knight laughed. "Just speakin' the truth, sugar."

"Courtney has decided you and she are going to be the romantic couple of the ages."

"Has she?"

"Yep. She's really descriptive about where she wants you to stick—"

"Kim," he warned, cutting me off, and I laughed.

"Payback's a bitch, honey."

"There's only one place I wanna be stickin' my dick, sugar. Never doubt it."

"Oh, I don't, but it's hard not cutting her in her sleep."

Knight chuckled. "My baby has claws."

"One of my many flaws."

Knight stared ahead. "Remember what I said to Court about talkin' bad about my woman?"

I sighed. "Yeah."

"Well, that applies to said woman, yeah?"

"I'm not allowed to talk about myself?"

"Not if it's negative, no," he said. "You're gonna stop playin' that tape in your head, Kim."

It was irritating that he understood my constant battle not to hate myself. Despite Dr. Grace's weekly reminders that nothing that happened to me was my fault, I still fought with guilt, feeling as though I could have somehow stopped my uncle sooner.

"How is it possible I love you and hate you all at the same time?" I complained.

He smiled gently, his eyes saying more than his words ever could. We arrived at the dining hall and grabbed a couple of beers, handing our cards over to charge to our accounts. Then we joined the rest of the team.

By six o'clock the next morning, my butt was in the saddle atop Fozzie and I was trying to keep my yawning to a minimum. It was a training day, so I was warming up with the rest of the team in the open arena which would be used for the dressage and jumping portions of the competition.

Jack went first, putting his big gray Andalusian gelding through dressage paces while Knight paced, ranted, and raved.

"No! No, no, no, Jack!" he snapped, and I honestly thought he was going to lose his mind. "You're cutting the corner again. Your serpentine isn't equal. Come on, man. They have to be the same sized loops."

Jack swore and nodded, moving back into position.

"Better," Knight said, after Jack ran Benito back through the exercise. "Do you feel the difference?"

Jack nodded. When he was finished, he pulled his horse up next to mine. "That was horrific."

I frowned. "It wasn't that bad. You know Aidan, he wants us to win, so he wants our movements to be perfect. You looked really good out there."

"Kim," Knight called.

"Good luck, darling," Jack said, and I pulled Fozzie into the center.

I urged him into a medium trot and adjusted to get Fozzie back under the bit.

"Lengthen the stride, Kim," Knight ordered. "Don't rush him."

I adjusted again and felt Fozzie's body shift and his stride lengthen.

"Nice, Kim. Move him into a canter and I want flying lead changes on the diagonal."

I did as I was instructed and pulled to a stop as Knight approached us. He stood on Fozzie's left side, somewhat hidden from the group and looked up at me. "Act like I'm giving you some really sage advice... kind of concentrate and nod."

"Okay," I said slowly.

"You're fuckin' beautiful, sugar, and Fozzie's never looked better. You're the one to beat," he said. "Now frown and nod."

I frowned and nodded.

"I can't wait to strip you out of your clothes and fuckin' eat your pussy 'til you come. I'm standin' here right now, hard as a fuckin' rock, and I can't do anything about it. Do you know how difficult that is?"

I fought back a giggle as I shook my head.

"Well, it's fuckin' hard. Literally. Now, if anyone asks, tell them I was showing you how to adjust your legs for a better feel."

"I might need you to actually show me that some time. Maybe when we're alone and naked."

"Lookin' forward to it, sugar. You good?"

I nodded again and went back to the group.

"Courtney, you're up," Knight called, and she went into her exercises.

I, however, was fighting my own 'lady boner' as I pulled Fozzie to a stop with the team.

"You looked amazing," Jack said.

"Thanks." I gave Fozzie some slack in the reins and watched as Knight lost his mind with Courtney.

Poor Courtney.

The next morning was the first day of the competition, and I was a bundle of nerves. I think I dropped the brush I was using on Fozzie a gagillion times as I groomed him for the dressage competitions. We were up in less than an hour, and quite frankly, I just wanted all of this over with.

"Hey, Kim," Flea said, poking his head into the stall.

"Hey, buddy. How are you?"

"I think the better question is, how are you?"

I shook my head. "Ready to puke."

"Do you need a bucket?" he retorted.

"I have one already, thanks," I grumbled.

"You're gonna do great, babe."

"It's the Olympics, Flea," I whispered.

"No shit?" He cocked his head. "Oh, that makes way more sense. See, I thought with all the men walking around wearin' leotards and shit, it was some kind of comic book convention."

I giggled. "Stop, you'll make me pee."

Flea was known for his wicked sense of humor and I was preemptively cutting him off from getting me laughing like a hyena (which was often).

"Don't do that," he said. "I'm pretty sure you lose points for pissin' on your horse. I can run out and get you an adult diaper if you think you'll need it."
